You look fucking stupid
Really? Why's that exactly... Is it my hat? :frown: [editline]10:17PM[/editline]
Looks like alot of fun. What kind of mics are you using for your drums?
Samsung clip on's, I forgot the full name because we rarely use them, we would ususlly use SM57's but it got messy with the cables and mic stands, clip on's kept things neat. [editline]10:17PM[/editline]
I can't help but wonder if the area of the stage allocated to you was lined with fine Berber carpet. Drumming was okay though.
What does this even mean.
You looked really nervous.
You looked really nervous.
Yeah, the act that was on before us just sucked balls to be honest, so we had to go on stage after them and win the crowd back, that's what I was nervous about the most. It aint easy sitting on a stage with 200 pairs of eyes watching your every move!
You looked really nervous.
You looked really nervous.
This generally works only when following from the first post, otherwise you just look retarded, bless you.
You looked really nervous.
It appears that reptiles are particularly adept at smelling fear.
You deserve more than 100 views
You deserve more than 100 views
Thanks! But YouTube is a brutal thing nowadays. :v:
I'm proud of you, Bo.
It appears that reptiles are particularly adept at smelling fear.
And a guy with a mustache
Your good, The singer is shit.
Singers are always worse in amateur venues like that. I liked your drumming too.
you looked really nervous
You can see photos of the evening here http://wa.theimagefile.co.uk/?skin=8578&ppwd=21788nvr&Action=_VC&id=12336015
Try practicing with a metronome a little bit more. It helps, trust me. Both of the videos you had subtle, but noticeable, changes in tempo which really make your playing sound bad (Speeding up at the end of the two measures of cymbals at the first video, getting into the rhythm after fills, etc.). 30 minutes on a metronome every day for a week and you'll be fine. Good playing overall, though.
everything with metronome every day for the rest of your life
your pants look like pjs
your pants look like pjs
Sexy shorts! Making sure my legs can move quick enough.
I'm proud of you, Bo.
Luff yew Dave.
I don't know on what parameters to judge a drummers skills, so i'll just say you sounded good and seemed to keep everything going throughout the songs.
I lied about spreading the pics around you sent me.
I've always figured that a metronome would throw off my sense of beat if I was trying to play an instrument. On top of that, I'd probably develop bad habits using it.
If you're playing with good musicians who got good timing, you'll experience just the same thing. So get workin'
I'm not a musician. I do occasionally like to bash on my keyboard like a 3-year old though.
Yeah, the act that was on before us just sucked balls to be honest, so we had to go on stage after them and win the crowd back, that's what I was nervous about the most. It aint easy sitting on a stage with 200 pairs of eyes watching your every move!
A couple of weeks ago I did a short performance at my school's mid year concert. One point in it I jumped out in front of the rest of the people performing and started doing this circular hip gyration dance (was part of the act) in front of at least 600 (maybe up to 1000, not sure) people (mostly parents of students, as well as teachers, and some students). The following week, I did the same thing in front of every single student in my school from year 7-10, so screw you. Anyway, nice drumming (I would suck at drumming because I can't keep up different beats and shit with different parts of my body). [editline]09:47PM[/editline] By the way, the mid-year concert one was in Hamer Hall: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d6/Hamer_Hall_interior_pano.jpg (I will forever bring this event up whenever someone bitches about stage fright).
1. That's a god damn nice venue to play at. 2. What the FUCK sort of performance would require you to do hip gyrations on stage. 3. You crazy son.
Ok Livewire 123 here's my view, I think that while your drum beats were ociasionally out of synch they were still very good. i think that you need a but more practcise but if you keep going then you will hit your target and become the best and you will succeed. I was listen to this with my eyes shut so I could the drum beats.
but if you keep going then you will hit your target and become the best and you will succeed.
For some reason that part of the sentance made me laugh pretty hard.

You crazy son.
Was supposed to be a short comedic break between all of the serious performances (orchestras, ensembles, talks about the history of the school). Half the jokes were about Olivia Newton-John (she went to my school) and at one point we were doing some kind of workout routine to "Physical". The routine started at "let's get physical" and I was supposed to be getting too into it, so I jumped out in front of the rest of the group (at "let me hear your body talk") and started doing a creepy, funkalicious dance. Everyone else edged away slowly and stopped working out. [editline]09:52AM[/editline] Maybe one day I will show the recording to you (when the concert comes out on DVD).
