Here is my response to any and all arguments Christianity:
(are you ready for some profundity?)
Whoever made you feel like Christianity was bad/wrong/boring/brainwashing/illogical/a drug/etc.
is NOT BEING THE TYPE OF CHRISTIAN THEY SHOULD BE.
Christianity is not all about controlling people, or meaningless rituals. Granted, it has been used that way, but present-day Christians will be right there with you when attacking the Inquisition and Crusades.
To your point about Logic being your religion: My life is logic. I started learning to program when I was 15. I can't think how to solve a problem in math without first thinking: "How would I do this in Java?" You can't tell me that I'm blind to logic and at the same time a Christian.
Also, to the fog it seems to place on people's minds: nothing can affect you unless you let it. I'm not blinded by faith, though I wish I was (life would be so much easier...). If I was, I think I would be screaming "Abortion is EVIL! STEM CELLS ARE BAD!!!" Fortunately for me, I come to decisions on my own, without the influence of other opinions. I see people every day who are giving my faith a bad rep because they have closed minds.
There are several reasons behind this, but I think that the best thing to do is "Do everything in moderation" (Ben Franklin). I can't think of a single time when this doesn't apply...
Perhaps it's best to end with this: Mark Twain once said something like "I'd rather be a Christian and find out there's no God than be an Atheist and find out there is one."
I find your name ironic based on the content of that post. With that out of the way:
Christians always seemed like cultists to me. They creeped me out... they were too happy. Nothing ever seems to get them down. They never see any fault in god - instead, they insist the fault is in other people. They're quick to convert you, should you stray from the path they've forged. A tornado destroys everything they have worked for the last 30 years, and they thank god that they're alive. Yes, thank you god, you put our family in the path of a tornado and nearly killed us. Thank you for having the mercy not to kill us. We don't have anything now, but thank god we're not dead! A test of our faith is what it is. God created us to doubt him so he could test our faith. Yes... faith. What a convenient excuse. If anything goes wrong, it's the work of the devil, or it's god testing our faith. Make sure you don't get the two confused - it's easy to do. I mean, after all, the bible is a book full of contridictions. By today's standards, would somebody like Jesus be considered a religious fanatic? Of course he was. Jesus didn't die for our sins - he died because he was a religious fanatic forming a cult in a civilization with Jewish roots. God loves you, but has no problem blasting you into hell. He spawned you on earth so you could suffer through life and die painfully. If god does exist, he definitely isn't working in your favor. The same goes for jesus. He started a religious movement that ultimately became a source of evil, deluding people, promising things they can't deliver, starting wars, creating prejudice and hatred, bigotry, and conformity.
Christianity is an evil of a different type. An evil that masquerades as salvation, ultimately leading its followers to become the very evil they were told to put an end to. You can make up excuses. You can lie to yourself, and tell you it's what god wants you to do. You can tell yourself it's right, even though in the back of your mind you know what you do is wrong. Just take a moment to think about things the people in your church have said, and ask yourself if what they do is in conflict of what you believe to be right. It's up to you to decide which story to believe.
He still does have an army they are called the Swiss guard. I think they are there just for show, but someone told be they are trained like the army.

Yes.
Also I registered a forum account on christianity.com to post some youtube videolinks about how god is all imaginary and stuff (www.godisimaginary.com), and posting "Too bad, he doesn't exist." style posts in "I TALKED TO GOD" threads.
After 15 minutes somebody deleted all 9 posts, both of the threads; my total identity. Everything.
Then I got a mail that tells me ( demands me [threatens me]) to never ever visit their forums again.
:\ Love your neighbour/next one, eh?
You spammed there forum how many times do you think that happens to them. It like when people spam this forum.

God owned your posts.
Lol at mikfoz
Religious Extremists assholes. I shall say no more.
Excellent thread
The OP should be unbanned.
Religion is a good thing when it leads to charity and kindness, not when it is forced on others or tries to dictate other people's lives. Just be kind and give, never force.
The real basis of most religions these days is to teach good moral principles: Don't steal, lie, cheat, murder, stuff like that. The whole "You go to heaven if you _______ or you go to Hell if you _______" Is more or less a scare tactic, (even though I deem it Terrorism because they are using fear to get their message across) and so on. It is also a way for those who are weak or simple minded to hold on to something that they can understand, considering the unknown is a dark and albeit scary abyss.
Some people take it too far, by using it as a scapegoat for acts that they have committed. If someone treats people like shit on a constant basis (shitty manager that I am sure most of you, at least those who are old enough) can understand. They'll be absolute horrid human beings, but then they go to church and confess their sins, as a way to make their actions seem justified and so they can sleep better at night.
Then you get the children (I got you by the balls facepunch) who claim to be Atheists, even if they are in public will not say so because they still go to church with their parents and believe. They use it as an act of rebellion against their adult peers and parents, which is down right childish and immature.
Religion is a safety blanket, teacher, terrorist organization, and excuse all in one.

I work at a Family Fun Center, and we have an Event Hall for people to host after parties, charity events, and each Sunday, a CHURCH SERVICE. And this last Sunday (yesterday), people had to donate a MINIMUM of 5 bucks. Now tell me that isn't just a cult, they have their church held in a family fun centers event hall and force people to donate and preach bullshit.
Blah blah blah.
Athiests can be just as bad as Christians. Accept each others' differences and move on with your damn life. You can't change their mind just as they can't change yours. Leave each other alone already. Christianity is not a cult, but most of the people who follow it either take it too far or have no clue what they're doing. Don't blame the entirety of the Christian religion for something a few nutjobs are doing.
I really don't think the three year bump was necessary.

When I saw mikfoz I was like : :saddowns: This is old
Weed > All Religions
Apples > Teeth
Religion < Common sense
Fun tip
Ask your friend about jesus and take notes.
He'll tell you about all the stuff jesus did and all that jazz.
Go home and look over your notes, replacing the Name Jesus for muhammad.
Watch his expression when he realizes that muhammad did almost the same stuff jesus did.
Of coarse your friend will say "thats no right" But its fun to get them thinking :)
Baby starves to death for not saying "Amen" FUCKING SHIT.
The case of the boy being starved to death for not saying Amen is now on trial. The mother thought the boy was going to be resurrected, and she still believes he is coming back. Score another one for “faith.”
Read more, this is fucking insane.
Religion? Bollocks.....
I have the same mindset as the OP. My cousins are extremely religious and all they talk about is religion, they even have quotes from the bible painted on their wall. I have sympathy for their kids cause they have no idea how brainwashed they are going to be.
I find that the internet is the anti-religion. People go on the internet and read what other people say and learn from them.
Basically it's your decision if you believe in nothingness after death, live in fear of going to hell or happily live your joyous life and go to paradise afterwards ;)
I will soon post the theory of how beleiving in God is the only logical decision.

Athiests don't teach much other than bigotry against people of religion. There is the rare one that describes the scientific way of life and allows the "pupil" to choose for their own and respect that decision. The rest are basically opposite Christians. "Don't believe in God, or I'll hate you." Whatever happened to accepting others for their differences?
No one is forcing anyone to listen to religion or religious teachings.
If there is a god, atheist are fucked.
if there is no,religious people wont lose anything.
So
MAH FRIENDS CALL ME COACH!
I am atheist but I am still Jewish, I am a Humanistic jew, we still observer traditions, and holidays, and we still learn about Jewish culture, but we also think "god" is stupid and unneeded.

Pascals Wager.
If there is a god, how do you know it's the christian god? How do you know this god won't punish people who believe without evidence?
