Watching people freak out over the Tracer reveal has been absolutely hilarious. Especially all the (rather obviously straight) guys yelling about how maybe she's just bi, let alone the sad tosspots who are honestly sad that their waifu turned out to be into ladies. Oh, and the guys who go 'well, half my Overwatch folder is now canon', but that's for different reasons.

I think one of the devs confirmed that Tracer is actually a lesbian and not bi. Don't quote me on it though, I saw a tweet somewhere but I'm not sure where.

I mean people don't have to go around calling Tracer "the gay Overwatch character" if they don't have to, and can totally ignore the lore if that's what they want to do. But it doesn't change the fact that she's gay. So, y'know.

I love how people have no trouble writing fan fiction where straight characters are gay but suddenly when a character is gay they can't write fan fiction where they are straight... Any drama about this is coming from fools. Blizzard did the reveal 100% perfectly and didn't make a huge song and dance about it; it didn't matter if the person that Tracer gave the gift to was a man or a woman, the scene was a demonstration of love either way.
