Got my first payout from Pyramining today, after almost 6 months.
Is it just me or is notroll.in not working as it should, it sounds a bit fishy.. did the hoster jump ship with all the litecoins? I've seen numerous tweets that nobody could do anything on the website except go to other pages.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. [editline]25th May 2013[/editline] Nevermind, it wasn't me. It's just Slush's pool is shit.
Okay, now I'm getting Verification failed, check hardware! (0:0:Barts, 44f94a67) I've been reading it's AMD's abysmal drivers, which I already have first hand experience with. Is there any workaround besides downgrading them? I tried downgrading a few hours ago, and it ended up in a horrible mess.
What miner are you using? Have you tried a different pool?
I'm using OpenCL miner, I'll give CG miner a try in a bit but I don't think it'll help. As for my pool, I'm using BTCGuild. The card can do 198 mhash/s, and the miner said it was doing that, but it wasn't processing anything or w/e. [editline]25th May 2013[/editline] Yeah, CGminer doesn't even start. Have you guys heard of BitVegas? It's a pretty awesome Minecraft casino that uses bitcoins. It's completely legit too, i got a couple of referrals last night and managed to double them, then cashed them out and they reached my wallet instantly. Got my thingamajigger to work. I made a whole 2 cents already!
my 14 cents a day from mining is so useful... I already bought a stick of gum with it!
Checked the value of TRC last night, turns out i've got 0.02 BTC worth of TRC :)
I'm thinking about getting a butterfly labs machine, but I'm kind of skeptical. I've been doing some research on what people thought about it, and some say it's good, some say it's a scam. (mainly because of their awful shipping, assholish management, and all purchases are final policy) So before I make any risky purchases, what do you guys think about it?
Just build your own mining rig, you're better off.
Well I was thinking of getting the 5Gh/s model from BFL for about $300. I tried mining with my own PC overnight using a HD5850 and got about 270Mh/s, but I didn't find that it was worth the electricity and heat for 50 cents. For the same price as a videocard that can spit out something like 300Mh/s, I could get a dedicated external machine that produces 5Gh/s. But there's some controversy over butterfly labs so I just want to make sure I'm not making any stupid mistakes buying one. [editline]2nd June 2013[/editline] Forgive me if I'm talking nonsense, I'm fairly new to bitcoin
Could you make your own Using a raspberry Pi and some Beefed up videocard? Might be cheaper + More fun.
I was thinking of using my raspi to host the BFL machine :v

Add me on steam if you want.
I'm assuming LTC is never coming to gox like they said months ago now? I feel like I should pull out of LTC before I lose all my money if so.
I'm assuming LTC is never coming to gox like they said months ago now? I feel like I should pull out of LTC before I lose all my money if so.
MtGox has been hit with a lot of shit since the LTC announcement (70+ gbit DDoS attacks, dwolla seized). They will have to focus on that first before they even dare to add LTC to their platform (which will add a lot more load to the system). They said it will come eventually so you can either play the waiting game and hope for a great return, or pull out now and sleep better at night, but hate yourself later IF LTC hits $10.
I think I'll pull out once LTC stabilizes again at around $3.25 or so so I can make at least $50 profit (I know the current drop is just temp thanks to end of month and BTC dropping temp due to a big fake buy order-then-dump being done by someone). I'll buy in again once LTC decides to drop for X reason back down to $2.50 (like it is doing now) or if it starts shooting up for Y reason
I'll sell you my preorder for $220 negotiable if you decide on it (tax, shipping costs will put your price well over $300). Add me on steam if you want.
Interested, but any reason why you are selling it?
Just build your own mining rig, you're better off.
You can't build an ASIC yourself.
Interested, but any reason why you are selling it?
I'm studying abroad next year and am trying to raise as much money as possible. My preorder probably won't ship until early 2014.
DHS served a warrant on MtGox's US subsidiary (Mutum Sigillum) and seized their bank account at Wells Fargo that was used to transfer USD to Dwolla. They stated in the warrant that Mutum Sigillum was operating as an "unlicensed money transfer business". Welp, bitcoin is crashing like a mofo right now and predictably taking LTC down with it it The good news is for some odd reason, FTC was "holding value" and actually rising, though not by that much considering BTC is dropping with it (what you actually trade FTC for). Feels nice though, I pulled out of LTC temporarily to hop on to FTC at 105, and the price is now at 118 for FTC. So if I were to trade back into LTC I would have made an extra 20 LTC or so.
