According to my calculations at the current exchange rate 1000Kh/s makes $21 a day. That means it is x2 profitable to mine then litecoin right now.
Wait where can you exchange FC for BTC/LTC/$? Also what is the difference between stratum and non-stratum mining?
Wait where can you exchange FC for BTC/LTC/$? Also what is the difference between stratum and non-stratum mining?
Stratum works better, fewer stale shares.
Well, after waiting a bit, this is what I ended up with: I'm pretty fucking happy right now.
6850

cgminer -o http://fc.dontmine.me:28339 -u user.1 -p x --scrypt --thread-concurrency 4800 --gpu-engine 850 --gpu-memclock 1000 --intensity 14 --worksize 128
Decrease or increase the intensity depending on your needs. Stratum supports much much higher hashrates and has very little stales.
I can't seem to make cgminer work properly , I have a 6870 could someone help me out?

I have a question that's only sort of relevant to bitcoin. A while ago I downloaded the official bitcoin program, but it kept crashing so I deleted it. Every once in a while I still get an error report that bitcoin has crashed. I can't find the program on my pc. Halp.
http://www.trollboxtrader.com/ Oh god someone made a site that buys or sells ltc everytime the btc-e chat says "buy ltc" or "sell ltc" in a message. :v:

Fontas is leading a pump on nmc currently.
I love how it is actually doing well
This just in, the clueless traders in the btc-e chat know more about trading than me.
I always get the feeling that he never actually lifts a finger, and he has all this market control just because he is some iconic figure to the chat. [editline]30th April 2013[/editline] wahh my automerge
Lol now it's all dropping. Nmc
So it took until I actually have my money sitting in my mtgox account for me to realise that speculation really is complete speculation. I'm sitting here thinking bitcoins just went down $9... should I buy in and sell on the upswing? Wait... what if it just keeps going down? But maybe it will never get below this point again... Or maybe I'll buy now and it'll crash to $50 tomorrow and I'll miss out on massive gains! Help. [editline]1st May 2013[/editline] It's gone through it's biggest drop in price in pretty much the last seven days in the past few hours. So I think I might hold off.
I wish I had 700k worth of litecoins to pump and sell on btc e like mr wall
The difficulty of litecoin has gone up a lot lately, i'm just getting 0.3 lc a day now in stead of 1.
Think about it this way: Bitcoin will never be worth $0 as long as someone doesn't exploit it. Bitcoin will always go up in price at some point.
I'm doing it for speculation only. Long term investment is not what I intend to do. Although I keep that in mind in case I mess up a buy/sell order. If I ever make one. I'm really just hoping one day I'll wake up and it'll be $5 again, I'll buy in and make hundreds of thousands of dollars when I sell at $250. Fantasies are fun.
I started messing with bitcoins last Friday. So far I have earned 0.014692 BTC yay.
For any devs interested in making stuff that needs litecoin information, I just launched http://ltcd.info/
Amazing. I just made $2 off of bitcoin speculation. Time to retire. That was the scariest thing that has happened to me. I bought in about $3 above the actual value accidentally. Still managed to make a profit after fees! Well worth the half hour. :v: I don't understand what I am doing, clearly. What is this? It is not the same as the mtgox market and has a much higher trade volume. I didn't bother to check they were the same hence my moment of panic. [editline]may[/editline] Ohhhh I was trading in AUD when the graph is a seperate USD market. Now I have to do some clever trading to swap currencies without losing money.
Finally got some USD onto BTC-e. Although I'm not sure If I should invest in BTC or LTC, they both seem pretty low at the moment.
mining FTC is more profitable than LTC, mine it while you can
LTC is a no brainer at this point. The price will go up when mtgox starts trading with it, even if it only goes up due to speculation, and even if it only goes up a couple of bucks at most. And Mtgox is confirmed to start trading with LTC "soon". Worst case scenario it goes up a dollar or two due to speculation before dropping back down if the regular BTC crowd just completely rejects it (sell once it seems like it just is leveling off and dropping down, I suppose). Best case scenario the BTC crowd loves it and just hops on the LTC train as a cheap alternative to bitcoin and the value will skyrocket If you invest $100 into LTC right now you'll get about 32ltc versus about 1 bitcoin. If LTC rises just one dollar you've made about $32, if it goes up $2 double that. Assume a best case scenario happens and it shoots up to $10 then you've made about $200. Meanwhile best case for bitcoin right now would be maybe going up to $150 at the most, which means you make a healthy $50 profit but it might not get any higher than that, and it's unlikely it will being that the current price is pretty established for it, and the market depth is now deep enough that it's harder to move that price up unless something really significant happens (like the Euro now being BTC lol).

It's not about to start going up until LTC comes in (I think) and then it will just plummet further. I think you're right, LTC will be ludicrous. Except I put all my money in Mt.Gox so I can't buy any :v: In other news I transferred my AUD to USD in a clever Bitcoin sale that covered the exchange rate parity and made me all of $4 after fees!

That's what I'm doing. AKA USD -> Gox -> buy BTC -> withdrawl btc to your btc-e bitcoin address -> use your BTC at btc.e to buy LTC
Too bad I didn't start playing with this while I was living in my student apartment, because the electricity was "free" there.
Does anyone know how to buy Bitcoins with a UK bank account? I've been looking but haven't found an alternative to TransferWise yet. They got told to stop processing payments to Bitcoin exchanges.
why btc im loosing money whyyyy
why btc im loosing money whyyyy
You're only losing money if you sell at a loss. Just hold onto them.
You're only losing money if you sell at a loss. Just hold onto them.
Well aware. I'm holding.
