yeah I heard about that, but a friend of mine ordered his Def-2 from fss and it's of dope quality. i'd rather pay the extra dosh to get something i know would be awesome than something mediocre
$160 one looks pretty dope to me that's my friend's

khaki
is it.. grey?
ITT: Since when is Russian gear not uniformly the same? I thought Russian gear varied wildly in color, quality and design even if they're the same items made at different times.

Hmm, I might just do the same and wait to see how the really cheap ones are. Btw after fielding the Rossia gear and E1 AK-74M for like 7 hours, I can say that the Gorka is fucking comfy in cold weather, the SMERSH is hella comfortable even when it's loaded with an assload of stuff, the K6-3 is actually pretty comfy too, although the visor likes to fall down if I'm running and jumping too hard, and the ECHO1 VMG-74 is actually really goddamn accurate and has pretty decent range. Only complaints is that the MAG 74 Mags are a bit tight, and require slamming it into the magwell, the visor needs to be tightened or something, and the sling mount on my AK broke, so I have to strap it on the stock. Maybe I'll actually get a video review of all this Rossia gear soon
I really should buy one of those Echo 1 AK-74Ms while Toronto Airsoft still has them for $280 but I really don't want to deal with swapping out the 9 billion FPS spring. [editline]4th March 2012[/editline] Knowing my luck I'll break it before I get to use it.

[editline]4th March 2012[/editline] Knowing my luck I'll break it before I get to use it.
Dude just look at videos and guides, like mechbox.com. Took me awhile at first, but you'll feel badass once you know your way around a gearbox.
agree so much first time spent 8 hours trying to get the thing to go together second time opened it, reshimmed it good in 20 minutes (thanks jat while your guide was still up), put it back together without issues
As long as you hold the spring in when you split the gearbox, it's easy as fuck
Only big issue I had was the trigger spring falling out, and my trigger mech fell out because clone companies love to leave out the screw that's supposed to hold it in.
Since everyone is posting Defender-2's, I'll post mine with smersh rig combo.
weird place to put a patch lol
It's the only place I have velcro. Don't judge me.
It's basically saying "shoot me here, right in the SAPI plate"

???
Wouldn't want to be around that when it becomes self aware.
???
Is that from the Russian version of Appleseed or something?
K3LOID
K3LOID
This word reminds me of those kellogs cereals

I know what it is, just said that keloid sounds like kelloggs

That looks really cool.
Since AKs are constantly sold it in Canada, does anyone know if Russian special forces use any non-Russian rifles?
I know what it is, just said that keloid sounds like kelloggs
I was just posting it in general since some people here haven't seen it. [editline]6th March 2012[/editline]
Since AKs are constantly sold it in Canada, does anyone know if Russian special forces use any non-Russian rifles?
I'm pretty sure Special Forces of any country almost without exception use whatever they want. Even the Japanese. And they're just terrible.
I'm pretty sure Special Forces of any country almost without exception use whatever they want. Even the Japanese. And they're just terrible.
I don't want to make this awesome Spetsnaz loadout and then run a G36 or something and get yelled at for being a CoDfag so that's why I asked. Of course I could always do Tavor + Ukrainian gear and not be a CoDfag [editline]6th March 2012[/editline] What would be the general consensus if I did a Spetsnaz loadout with a Western gun though?
Pretty sure a M4 or something FN would be the best.
