yeah, I wore it for around 6 hours for two days with visor; I forgot to shave so the chinstraps chafed like a bitch
it hurts and I'm sore; too bad the k6 by itself looks like OD spaceballs helmoot
[editline]3rd July 2012[/editline]
I guess it explains why most photos show fsb/mvd ppl running without the visor
also where can I find an elastic band to make a helmot cover lip?
[editline]3rd July 2012[/editline]
I am going to cut up my modox izlom to make a helmet covere
[QUOTE=Kill001;36602387]I would leave it at eotech, since it's pretty practical. I like to leave my aks light as well
grab some klmk/bezerka/tigr/rastr/reed/les/etc or something similar if you're gonna go speshul furse; flora is more of a grunt camouflage pattern as much as I love the pattern; most of the patterns I mentioned are reasonably affordable. Even better if you get gorka for cheap
no patches really if you get speshal fource stuff, blue telnys are for vdv forces, red is for mvd, and black I believe is for naval infantry; otherwise everyone uses camo t-shirts or plain green ones; don't wear the red telny because apparantly the red telnys are earned rather than issued so some mvd guy politely requested members of RA not to wear them[/QUOTE]
Is there anything else youd recommend? Upgrades? Gear? I'll be running hicaps for now until I get more money. I'm on my phone right now so it's slow as fuck; could you provide me with purchase links to these patterns, please? Also; I did find the right Tely, correct? Would it be considered proper to wear it with the pants and purchase the jacket at a later date? As its summer here and it is way too hot to wear any BDU jacket. I tend not to use sights much and just follow my BBs, as I play outdoor cqb, so perhaps the VFG would be a better idea? Just my thoughts.
klmk/bezerka oversuits and stuff are fine with wearing a tshirt underneath. Just look at all those pics from afghanistan of people wearing klmk
also klmk looks rly kewl with anything so maybe get a lifchik pattern II (aka russian chicom) for something budget. Get a smersh if you're shelling out dosh
Red-alliance's wts threads (you gotta register to see it thou), frontowiec, soviet propaganda are the top 3 to look for gear. If that fails ebay is a good site
ak is fine as is really; I feel the handguards feel too forward to use any foargreps so when I do 1337cqb I fold my stock and engage scrubs
[editline]3rd July 2012[/editline]
and russian gear is pretty damn simple so you don't need 1337railezmolle McTactical with fries and a happy meal
usually I can stuff all my shit in a moderately sized duffel bag besides the helmet
Metalman gave me a funny hat at Blacksheep
It's like a Communist santa hat or something
varusteleka is a finnish site that also carries russian shit on occasion so check there too if you will
soviet-propaganda is russian based
frontowiec is poland based
also here's the sizing chart by sovvie propaganda: [url]http://www.soviet-propaganda.com/index.php?main_page=page_2&zenid=6c0e188bf3c60ab76e108d5ae31b81dd[/url]
[editline]3rd July 2012[/editline]
if you're looking for budget russian helmets, helmetreplicas.net is a good way to go, although the seller is inconsistent sometimes
also red-alliansce has a few users that manufacture helmet replicas so be sure to check there
[QUOTE=Kath;36601977]So I'm selling all my 'Murrica shit to buy Rossia shit. Will a OE Tech H-Harness and Battle belt work well as a stand-in SMERSH? I'm a little strapped for cash, depending on how much I can sell.
Shopping List:
- Cm048 / CM047c (I love wood guns, but I'm not sure if the extra $40 is worth it. I already have a wood CM045, traded the "Ribbed for her pleasure" plum furniture for Black Grip / Wood handguards.)
- Flora Pants
- Light blue longsleeve Telynashka
Any other cool rossia shit you guys think I need? If I get the Cm047c should I do tactical but tasteful? (Scope mount / EoTech / Bottom Rail / VFG)[/QUOTE]
Well, you're going to need to tell us who you are portraying, if you don't want to do airborne, don't get a sky blue telny.
Giving that you want an AK-74 and you want a smersh, a well equipt unit that would have a smersh would not have an out dated full wood stock and handguard, you should get an AK-74M.

yea, this guy knows his shit
but overall what time period and divisionstuffs are you going for? That also helps narrow down what items you might want
[editline]3rd July 2012[/editline]
if you're just getting russian shit for the sake of building it, klmk/bezerka is a good start - hence why I told you to get one because you can build a lot of stuff out of it; I seen some pretty rad modern and olde loadeouts and impressions with klmk/bezerka
[QUOTE=Kill001;36602441]ye, my team leader runs a sleeveless telny for his ~eastwind~
[/QUOTE]
For Eastwind, motor rifles are being portrayed by soviets, so telnyashka should not be worn? (Exceptions: Devil Doc he is Ex-VDV)
I remember a while ago Devil Doc wanted to start VDV section at eastwind, but Tascabe said that soviets need like 3 infantry sections before considering VDV.
Also! Red Soldier has Telny on sale for $8!
Last thing, for anyone who doesn't know, NEVER WEAR RED TELNYASKA OR BERET.
dunno, ask tango since he's gearing up for eastwind but he runs around with a telny with his afghan setup
[editline]3rd July 2012[/editline]
never bothered to ask him about his setup although I do believe he acknowledges the dress code but he does love running with just the telny top...

I'm really digging this loadout. More of an unconventional Russian loadout, deviates from the ~super Spootznaz~ gorka+smersh all day erry day loadouts.
[editline]7th July 2012[/editline]
I just don't know what to wear on my head. I don't like having nothing up there.
black watch cap
obviously not in the summer though
Yeah, this'll be my autumn/winter loadout. In the hotter times I have DCU and a combat shirt.
get the shadow bekas and make a [del]homo[/del] OMON chechnya police lode ote
[img]http://media.englishrussia.com/newimages/onedayingrozny1-19.jpg[/img]
[sp]ino its not the same pattern but ive seen other pics of people wearing urban kamysh (which shadow is a ripoff of) so its ok[/sp]
[url]http://www.redsoldier.com/Splav-Kepi-Combat-City-1401034.html[/url]
Maybe get this for headwear.

Yeah, I was looking at the bekas too, just thought they'd be warm. Now that I'm designating this as my cold weather loadout that's not an issue.
[editline]7th July 2012[/editline]
They don't have shadow pants on Red Soldier though.
its a russia loadout
not just a russia loadout but a domestic peacekeeper loadout that wouldnt get the best shit
you can mix camo

I just saw that digital urban camo on Red Alliance yesterday.
Also find me somewhere to buy this patch and I will make a SOBR/OMSN/generic tierone surpat/multicam/dpm spetsnaz operator loadout.

Communist nipple hat.
anything wrong with this before I buy it?

[editline]8th July 2012[/editline]
for my GHK AKM
Nope. Don't see anything wrong with it. I'm assuming it's a real one?
yeah that's why I'm getting it, GHK is compatible with RS parts
Why buy that patch for "SOBR/OMSN/generic tierone surpat/multicam/dpm spetsnaz operator loadout" when it clearly says MVD on it?
[QUOTE=abdomina;36671653]Why buy that patch for "SOBR/OMSN/generic tierone surpat/multicam/dpm spetsnaz operator loadout" when it clearly says MVD on it?[/QUOTE]
SOBR is part of the MVD I'm pretty sure. And according to Red Alliance that patch is from a SOBR unit.
SOBR unit: for when the rest of the army is too damn drunk :v:
SOBR was disbanded in 2002 and active up 'till 2006 in Chechnya.
Most SOBR units I have seen have a patch that says SOBR on it, if they are in MVD, well then I was wrong (HOLY SHIT, THAT'S A FIRST).
Patches aside, I always thought SOBR was within MVD?
[QUOTE=Kill001;36673125]Patches aside, I always thought SOBR was within MVD?[/QUOTE]
I was wrong, Wikipedia says they are within MVD :(
Well not anymore, because SOBR is disbanded.
SOBR technically was disbanded in Russia, but still exists as OMSN. Some of the other former Soviet states still have SOBR though, like Belarus.

At least he has good taste I guess.
Also he's not half as stupid as most airsoft kiddies.
