There was this game Payday The Heist that came out a few months ago which was like this I think it was mediocre though
Except it was nothing like this.
Interesting concept but not for a cod game, it wouldn't really be call of duty if it wasn't about war, besides, police don't just go in and "lol shoot evrybody".
If you didn't say it was fan made, I probably would have thought it was real. I would most definitely play this game. It looks awesome.
I think it would be cooler to call it "Call of Duty: Cops and Robbers"
This is why I care R6 Patriots and CSGO.
Neat execution of the "pitch", but the idea has already been done plenty of times beforehand and doesn't really fit in with the franchise, as slim as the requirements for doing so are at this point. Even disregarding if it "fits", I don't think IW would put that much effort into a new game in a series that at this point only exists for mass profits, especially when pumping out nearly-identical games each year earns millions of dollars in returns. Treyarch might try it for shits and giggles, though.
Was the narrator satire or was the writing just that bad? The next installment brings us.... shaders!! Woah woah, maybe it'll include polygons and particles, too.
You're in my way sir.
Man that line tore Spoony apart.
We need another Swat game, with proper introduction before missions, deciding what weapons to brings, what tools and gadgets, get pictures and backstory on suspects, hearing emergence phone calls, choose point of entrance, non lethal take downs like tazers, beanbags, pepperspray, weapon retrieval, bomb defusing, hostage situations, barricade situations, to major terroist attacks. And tazing fat chicks for the lulz.
I agree, it added an interesting challenge in addition to the "shot what moves" of FPS. It had its flaws, but I liked the concept and the execution wasn't terrible either. Dat AI tho.
So Payday: The Heist meets S.W.A.T. 4.?
Seems like an interesting concept but they need to think of a better name. "POLICE WARFARE" sounds pretty terrible
Screw that crap. Bring back the old tactical shooter. Rainbow Six before this new Vegas trash and the SWAT series.
PUT YO-*BANG BANG*UR HANDS *KA-BLAM BANG* BEHIND YOUR *BANG* HEAD
I might be wrong, but somehow it would be amazing if IW put this much effort into a game.
I don't think any Call of Duty fans have the attention span required to rob a bank.
I havent bought a call of duty game in ages (because they are all the same) but I would consider this if it existed.
It'd be perfect for an arcade game like it says. Not a full, retail one though.
[HD]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iU_5zBS6F4&hd=1[/HD] Obviously it's fan made but they did a great job. I'd actually play it.
Holy shit my friend.
I don't think the IW engine is compatible with innovation
That's pretty neat, in the way that it'll never happen. We need more counter-terrorism/police games anyway.
Those were some smooth reload animations.
This game needs to be real.
Those were some smooth reload animations.
Probably by some of the talented folks at GameBanana.
This sounds really stupid. I really can't see how you can develop gameplay from this concept.
Are you fucking kidding me? Even though everyone hated Kane and Lynch, it was able to pull off unique heist gamemodes like this. The least CoD could do is copy Cops and robbers or something. Just get the heist concept in.. that's all I want. I'm still confused to this day as to why the concept of bank robbing/doing heists in general hasn't caught on in games yet. It's one of the many reasons why I fucking love kane and lynch so much.
The massive amount of hype sets of alarm bells in my mind that this is going to be extremely underwhelming.
Hype :v: for what
This doesn't seem to be the type of thing CoD would be able to do. There is a LOT more to robbing a bank than just point and shoot, which is what the franchise has been doing for the past eleventy seven games.
This should be made as a mod, for CoD4 or using UDK or CryEngine 3.
This reminds me of cops and robbers in GTA IV
The armoured truck at 1:31 has an MG34 But in all seriousness, I would buy this if it was real, and a full game instead of reskinned mw3

Did some digging, here is the guy who made this: http://www.linkedin.com/in/jameswearing?_mSplash=1
Very impressed. It's not every day you see a terribly good fan-made pitch. Usually it's just 'make a new game but make it better'. Also, where did all that artwork come from? +35 respect points if those were made specifically for this trailer.
