This makes me want to hate Pink Floyd so bad.
:frog: ?
Fix'd
You're completely right, but there's something that disgusts me about people associating bands with cannabis.
Well I can't wait until I get to go see Pink Floyd (Or at least Roger Waters) play the wall.
Roger Waters is the shit.
Roger Waters is shit.
:v:
:fuckoff:

You're completely right, but there's something that disgusts me about people associating bands with cannabis.
Their whole association with drugs is caused by Syd, because he's usually the only band member most people know and they know because he got screwed up from doing too much acid. Also because their music is a bit trippy (although I'd just say different). None of the band members associate themselves with drugs and they all have claimed not to do drugs. Really, none of their songs have to do with drugs, although some do deal with the issues Syd had because of drugs (DSOTM, Shine On). There really isn't a connection, it is just that a lot of hippies and stoners like Pink Floyd, just like how the popular kids at school seem to like what ever is in the top 40. Now saying all of that, I'm going to have to say that listening to Pink Floyd while high is incredible.
Recreational drug users aren't the scum of the earth get off your high horse
You're completely right, but there's something that disgusts me about people associating bands with cannabis.
What's wrong with weed it's completely safe, there's no evidence to say otherwise. And I'm not associating Pink Floyd with weed. I'm just telling you what happened. Anyway, Pink Floyd is the kind of music that is amazing with weed. Which is why so many people smoked it.
Roger Waters is the shit.
HEY ! my parents are going to Roger waters gig
Go with them and he said THE shit, not shit :P
A Saucerful Of Secrets, that's what. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEfS98F89Ho
I'm okay with this
Comfortably Numb?
I would argue that it really isn't about drugs. Pink is feeling down and sick, they decide to inject himself when something, and he gets comfortably numb and compares it to the time when he was really sick as a child, The song seems to be more about the industry's push their musicians through extraordinary circumstances such as tranquilizing them so they can perform in a show. But yes, the song does involve a drug, I just didn't choose to list it.
