dystopia - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agjf_QK4I9o (some pretty good sludge/crust)
backed hard. one of the most well-known (a deserved position!) crust bands, but one of those bands you won't hear about outside of its own scene. one of the best crust bands imo, along with artimus pyle and his hero is gone and such also komondor (dirty sludge/noise rock) fight amp (getting fairly well-known but i still don't see people talk about them a whole lot. sludgy, grungy, groovy, very 90s-esque noise rock) flesh parade (nutty new orleans grindcore i don't hear people talk about nearly enough, first 7" is a classic of the genre imo) lack of interest (classic 90s west coast powerviolence, another one of those bands that people into the genre know about but don't talk about enough, both LPs are top notch) all of these, honestly, people way into their respective genres have probably heard of them but even within those circles (and certainly outside of them) i think they could use some more love

Fuck yeah, I was coming in here to post these guys.
Current Swell: Canadian band, with mostly acoustic songs. Folk, Blues, Country and Reggae influences. Their newest album is a little too 'indie' for me, though. Favorite songs: Young and Able, Long Time Ago, and my two personal favorites, Stomach and Getaway Van The Beautiful Girls: Really chill surf band. Mostly really calm acoustic songs. Favorite songs: La Mar and Cash Money Matt Costa: A lot more famous than the other two, and he has a lot more 'indie' stuff too. I haven't listened to too much of his stuff though, but I do believe he's underrated. Favorite songs: Behind the Moon and Sunshine
Lil B, the Based God very #based and #positive :~)
Fuck yeah, I was coming in here to post these guys.
They're from my city. Jackson Square is the mall downtown. :v:
Somo He also sings popular songs but makes them sound good.
Bohren & der Club of Gore
Boredoms underrated? Umm... Afterlives: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTSa44ZhsG0
I never see anyone talk about them, so yeah?

Another couple of songs song by one of my favorite bands, Runrig will always have a special place in my heart, I grew up with this shit.
lol runrig its good you mentioned them because i was scrolling through desert island discs recently and uh http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/features/desert-island-discs/castaway/539e19df#p0093nrg looks like gordon brown agrees with you
Art vs Science is the shit but they're barely known outside Australia. Anything you hear in their albums they can play live, the studio versions are barely edited.
lol magic fountain when that got on triple j hottest 100 a couple years ago apparently everyone in the service station near my house busted out an impromptu dance party

Synthetic Breed - Some comment on YT: That's like Fear Factory.............But 20 years later http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnF2BP6JimI
Hum. Definitely. As far as popularity goes, they only really got recognition through their song "Stars", but every song by them is an amazing blend of space rock and crunchy hard alternative. 90's band, but I still would go see a reunion concert if they ever made one. I know they're not great vocal-wise, but they make up for it in guitar tone and dynamics. Just wait for the build up.
http://shag.bandcamp.com/ This dude. He makes really awesome trip-hop/hip-hop beats. He has 2 albums based off of the Zelda series, and he has over 5 complete top notch albums for free download. [editline]13th July 2013[/editline]
Hum. Definitely. When it got to 2:03 it sounded like Smashing Pumpkins, and I fucking love the smashing pumpkins.
Danko Jones, I fucking love them, great music.

I don't think a band can be called underrated when they play at coachella
http://24.media.tumblr.com/09bfc462756acfbaebbb0faa15ad755a/tumblr_mpnl26DOD51rxp7txo3_1280.jpg Sunny Day fucking Real Estate http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNEWWEpgRm4
considering that Diary is universally recognized as one of emo's most important albums, I wouldn't called them underrated
Wow. When it got to 2:03 it sounded like Smashing Pumpkins, and I fucking love the smashing pumpkins.
Yeah, that's what caught my eye too. Their harder rock songs(Stars, Iron Clad Lou, Dreamboat, etc) have that massive "wall of sound" feel similar to The Smashing Pumpkins. I've always loved those kinds of tones.

E-Dubble, one of my favourite rappers. Many of his raps are singing over other songs but I'm completely in love with them all.
