Did I miss something in an earlier episode, why is it weird that a chrome is a cop?

it seems weird because chromes are designed to be perfect beings, which would theoretically make the perfect cop/detective

they were probably made to keep up with the demand of technological advancement and the entertainment industry of looking prefect in a certain image.
And I mean in an image that the industry currently likes because if chromes were meant to preform only in technological accomplishments then they would have big butts so they could sit longer.
The way I see it's pretty much gattaca trope, could be revealed the first were genetically modified for war and the vets wanted rights.
But they arn't all mentally sound, [sp]pretty much implied she became a cop because a chrome raped her and due to the hierarchy of chrome's accomplishment the rapist got scott free because of how admired as a chrome and political weight or potential [/sp]
That last episode made me feel sad for john

where did you get that implication from
i've guessed nothing like that in the show

what? that wasn't implied at all. all that's implied is that she dislikes most chromes because of their superiority complex and that they look down on her for her chosen profession

this basically

I'll rewatch that part when I have time, but I'm pretty sure if it was only that then the dialog would have been different between her and the manager/lawyer.
It's a shame that this didn't turn out to be much more than a standard police procedural, really. You have good actors, acceptable characters, somewhat interesting sets and an endless sea of sci-fi references to pluck from and all you get is "cops in the future" with shoddy camera work and cgi-iefied stock footage. I was hoping for one decent ark or at least for the Insyndicate one to go somewhere, but it just raised more questions. I was greatly surprised that the latest episode was the season finale.
what's up with the wall anyway
[sp]the bio-printer mystery I thought was awesome, made me happy seeing a puzzle that was both sci fi and believable while not seeing to easy to be in-front of their noses [/sp]
the ending made me feel warm and fuzzy, it's not complex like the shield or the wire but it's fun and the series didn't make me facepalm.

its a damn good "cops in the future" show tho
One thing to note, they mentioned a 'New Pittsburgh' in that episode.
The only "New Pittsburgh" I can find on google is a news paper.
So it must be a new city somewhere in the Almost Human future
Please get renewed for another series.

also i'd like to say, almost every modern show is filled with cgi, so i don't see how this is a problem

remember that cgi isn't only used for glowing faces and holograms

I know I make CGI as a whole sound like a bad thing, but it's not. It's just that I personally didn't like those footage bits where they overlay flashy future tech over real life people walking down the street. I guess it didn't click with me. CGI let them pull off some amazing stuff, like the Blood Brothers episode, but then you get those shots with incredibly fake-looking drones flying over the city. Maybe it all comes down to personal preference, I dunno.

oh, i understand what you're saying. you did make it seem like you hated cgi just because it was cgi, but i agree that cgi is bad if it's there just to look cool and flashy

i never thought i'd be giving twd praise for it's cgi, but damn. i can honestly say the background shots in it have never struck me as cgi, so it must be pretty good
The background shots are pretty amazing, but the rest of their cgi was of throw-away variety. Just look at the s1 finale explosion and the guns in s3.

In favor of a sub-par Hannibal knock off, no less.
