...Uh-oh. In Bioshock, you use Incinerate! to melt a tunnel filled with ice, which gives you access to the second floor. Then you can get the shotgun.
HOWEVER, I drew it the other way around by accident. I guess I'll make jokes about it then to play it off.

Well, I guess it's more like sequence breaking in Super Metroid to get items early, which is technically forgivable, and anyway, it doesn't really matter. Just one more boomstick for Jack to store in his organic pockets or whathaveyou. See you tomorrow!

Well anyway, today we meet Doctor Steinman... Sort of. We'll meet him for real on Monday. As well, we find out that it turns out we've been sequence breaking since the start of the chapter!

Y'know, the thing about that whole sequence breaking thing is that I followed the arrow. And when I was beside the door I was supposed to go through first, it pointed forward, but you don't come at the door from the front, you come at it from either side of the room, and it looks like the arrow is pointing down the stairs. So, I come to the frozen tunnel. Instead of going back up the stairs to investigate the other door that's right there in front of me, I detour over to Eternal Flame, get Incinerate!, and go down one level and do the second floor. Then I come back up the stairs with Telekinesis and go through the ONLY unexplored door, through the tunnel, and into the room where you first meet Steinman. Then Atlas starts telling me I need to find Telekinesis and I go "wat".
Also, Incinerate! is weird because it has an exclamation mark at the end of it.
Also also, you might notice I drew Steinman a little differently than the other Grossman splicers. I plan on doing this for every major boss-ish character, Rose especially because she's like the first splicer you ever encounter. Looking back on the first few pages, she is really off model. My bad. Just a question though, I tried to upgrade the detail a little, more background elements more often and such. Is that showing? Just askin'. Anyway, see you guys Monday!

Of course, this is the first act of gore in the comic, really, and it's sure to not be the last, but I don't consider it that bad because of, well, the art style. Still, I wonder how the buckshot tasted as it went through Steinman's skull. It must have hurt.
Fun fact: I had to rotate each of these pages exactly 2 degrees because they were printed semi-sideways. Anyway, tune in tomorrow because it's almost time for Jack to learn how to save little sisters!

Y'know, the splicer that says "It's just you, n' me, n' all the tasty ADAM I can drink" is kind of creepy. I mean, where exactly on a Little Sister would you get ADAM from, and more importantly, why would you drink it when there's a Gatherer's Garden directly behind you?
Nevermind that. We're almost to fifty pages. ;-;
