Colors/Exposure in Skywind bothers me a lot. It's so.. weird. Like most shadows are pitch black.
I want to see skyrim on the morrowind engine
Bloodmoon can handle that, or at least Solstheim. The way I see it, Bloodmoon is a taste of Skyrim in Morrowind and Dragonborn is a taste of Morrowind in Skyrim (the provinces, not the games).
Are they bringing back the old skills/attributes/item/enchanting/spellcrafting systems? Those got so dumbed down beyond recognition in Oblivion and Skyrim

If they're not working on that right now, they ought to. The super-bright, washed out colors and really hard shadows that are in Skyrim won't work in other, warmer regions.
it's for the people who are under a certain mindset not shared by a lot of Elder Scrolls die-hards and that's that Morrowind has not aged that well gameplay-wise.
Shocking that anyone would think that, I know.
The purpose of this mod is to provide Morrowind's story to newer Elder Scrolls fans. If you're asking that question, the mod isn't for you.
also it's not going to be a direct copy of Skyrim's gameplay, it's going to sit somewhere in-between both games, but not just be 'Morrowind with Skyrim-level graphics!' or 'Skyrim with Morrowind's gameplay!', but its own thing.
Morrowind's gameplay is fine if you're not expecting an action game.
And I highly doubt there's much they can do with skyrim's hardcoded parts of the engine, sure mods re-added attributes but it didn't work right was wasn't seamless.
Skyrim's gameplay is so simple compared to morrowind I fail to see how they could possibly make it even look superficially like Morrowind's gameplay.

You're right though, this isn't for me, because I fucking hate Skyrim.
again like I said this remake isn't focusing on straight porting over Morrowind. It won't play identical to Morrowind but with shiny Skyrim graphics, it's going to be somewhere in-between. So they don't need to worry about getting every detail exact and like Morrowind, because they're leaving it open to redesign where they see fit. I'm not very privy to the goings on of their redesign process, but if a system just where not able to be re-implemented, they'd redesign it or change it until it can be, I'd imagine.
How? how will it play in between, have I missed something cause it just looks like Skyrim to me.

Don't even bother, people like that will never accept another game unless it is exactly like Morrowind. Hell, even if Bethesda released an HD remake of Morrowind they'd find something to complain about. If you legitimately think that Morrowind's engine is better than Skyrim's then you're living in a world of nostalgia.

I never said it had to be exactly Morrowind goddamn why do people think that, nobody has ever said this ever.
Skyrim's gameplay is fucking terrible (in my opinion) it doesn't matter if it's not Morrowinds, I love oblivion, oblivion isn't exactly morrowind, so you're wrong.
I didn't say that Morrowind's engine is better, it's worse in every way, but I don't want Morrowind's quest on Skyrim's engine EITHER.
Nowhere did I say I wanted exactly Morrowind, if I wanted exactly Morrowind I would PLAY MORROWIND.
I was arguing that he said the gameplay would be "in between the two" when I don't see how that's true, not that I wanted a Morrowind carbon copy, read my post better maybe.
the quests, story, dungeons, weapons, armor, and other such things will be intact and straight out of Morrowind. However, at the same time, these items will be rebalanced to work within Skyrim's gameplay limits. For instance, medium armor is done away with and all the armors are sectioned out logically into just 'heavy' and 'light' like in Skyrim.

Ah, well, I'd personally consider that "content" and not "gameplay", and I myself have no interest in Morrowind's content in Skyrim's engine because I do not enjoy Skyrim's gameplay, but I never said that other people shouldn't like it, just that I wasn't interested myself.
I'm sceptical as fuck towards this.
I dislike the skyrim engine very much, to be honest I dislike the entirety of skyrim very much, including some of the stiff animations in skyrim, like your running animation, everyone has the same, in morrowind they varied depending on what race you were so I hope they will pay attention to that.
There are so many small things that bothered me in skyrim listing them would make people believe I hate it like it's the worst thing to exist.
I do hope it ends up being good though, and I hope they fix some of the engine issues like how moving felt clunky and the retarded ass combat and another thousands issues I had with Skyrim.
I am also really sceptical towards voice acted dialogue. In morrowind, if someone said something you had to remember it unless it was written in your log, and it's a lot easier to remember something if you have the chance to copy it from text instead of listening to it over and over again.
Another thing I know is that most people who played morrowind disliked the journal in that game but I actually liked it. It worked like a real journal, entries was added as you did things, if you start a quest and get one entry then stop and forget about it you'll have to scroll all the way back to find those entries. But there was actually a way to sort by quest so it wasn't that annoying. I hope they keep the journal as it was but I know people will disagree with me on that.
Then the combat, I hope they keep morrowinds combat, say what you want about it but it honestly has more depth than skyrims and oblivions combat.
I bet they'll put important bits in your Quest Journal.

As long as I'm not following that fucking arrow I think it'll be okay.
i hope they add in the ballin alteration magic tbh
nothing in any elder scrolls game was as awesome as casting a spell that increased my speed and jump height so that i could fly across the map at the speed of sound (given there was no fast travel!) and then gracefully put on an enchanted ring of slowfall to land on the ground without dying

I'm hoping for Spellmaking to make a comeback.
Having a last resort super-fireball that did massive damage at the cost of draining massive amounts of Magicka was good for tight situations.
I know it wouldn't happen, especially because of loading cells and animations, but I'd like to see them bring back climbing from daggerfall.
Was such a cool skill to have for a thief character

honestly the spellmaking part of morrowind was probably the one thing as far as gameplay is concerned that is WAY better than the components in Oblivion / Skyrim. i hope they bring back some of the complexity for the next elder scrolls title, because the advanced spellcasting especially for alteration / illusion was pretty incredible
