Hrm, do you have a widescreen monitor, or a 4:3 one? When you're editing, can you see the black bars? A screenshot of the render settings could help.
i have a 16:9 monitor, and when editing i cant see the bars, however, when rendering, they appear.

Ah. Then it's your render settings. Render at 1080 or 720p, H.264 is good to use.

yeah, its from my other channel. That was the only "hit" we got, in local speaking. That video made it to a famous national website of humor and to a newspaper website as an example of chilian internet growing in humor or something like that, i dont really remember.
EDIT:
wait, you are the guy that made those god damn funny videos of your parents playing games right? i feel honored!
sad thing about the ending of them though, but i understand the reasons. Keep reinventing yourself! im sure you will come up
with new stuff you can show us!

Yeah, many thanks. You seem more capable of creating bigger things than I am at the moment, though. Looking forward to more.
Am I the only one that likes the subtitles
If you're using Sony vegas check "Stretch Video to fill Output Frame Size". For any other program, I have no idea. It'll fit the video to the output frame size as it says, though it may lead to slight stretching or a small cut off, but nothing terribly noticeable.
Also be sure to set your project size to the same thing as your render size
