This thread is about how the depths of a vocal that an artist can get to.
Not how good the artist is in creativity and composition.
That is pretty much what the OP wanted to say, albeit the way he said it was retarded.
James LaBrie - Dream Theater/solo project/etc

Tobias Sammet(I forget if there's two t's or not) - EdGuy/Avantasia

Matthew Bellamy - Muse

James Hetfield - Metallica
If you seriously need a video go find one yourself.
Bruce Dickinson - Iron Maiden
Again, you really shouldn't need a video.
Ronnie James Dio
Rest in Peace, pick any Dio song ever.
Hansi Kürsch - Blind Guardian, Demons & Wizards

Roy Khan - Kamelot

Matthew Barlow - Iced Earth

Rob Halford - Judas Priest/Halford
This man should not need an introduction
Freddie Mercury - Queen
This man is a legend. A god among men.
Rob Flynn - Machine Head
So the OP doesn't whine and complain no video. But seriously, his cleans are beautiful, and you can feel the rage in his usual vocals.
Dave Mustaine - Megadeth
Seriously. A Tout Le Monde/Holy Wars...The Punishment Due have to be his best vocal songs.
Mikael Akerfeldt - Opeth
tell me this isn't beautiful
Ralf Scheepers - Primal Fear

Timo Kotipelto - Stratovarius
Simone Simmons - Epica
I would've said Simone Simons. Epica is probably my favourite band, and I love Simone's voice on recorded tracks. But if you watch some youtube videos of Epica singing live, she really isn't that great and has quite a weak voice

Most of their live videos I think she does a pretty damn good job. Plus I LOVE her work with Kamelot.
Those 3, plus Johan Hegg from Amon Amarth, Anders Friden from In Flames, Anthony Kiedas from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Steve Wilson from Porcupine Tree, Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth, Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park, Maynard Keenan from Tool, Serj Tanakin from System of a Down, Stevie Wonder, Jonas Renske from Katatonia, Chrigel Glanzmann from Eluveitie and Jari Mäenpää from Wintersun.
Oh wow. He is not a good singer. He's sub-par at best. Or do you have band members confused?
My favorite is Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden.

That reminds me: Nina Simone
:3:
Bruce Springsteen and Brian Fallon of the Gaslight anthem. And neil young, and Johnny Cash. And others but my typing hands are weary.
Edit:
Well fuck Akayz already said most of mine. But I stand by Brian Fallon, he has a haunting heartland voice.
Why has nobody mentioned Peter Gabriel. I'm dissapointed, Facepunch. His solo career is fantastic.
Also, why aren't you taking the piss out of all the other people posting extreme vocalists in here?
Because you were the first to act like a complete dick about it.
OP should learn to deal with people's opinions

He's a good vocalist. No not a great singer but he's good at rapping.
Chester Bennington does have a nice singing voice though
Also Darren White from Anathema is pretty good too

[editline]28th October 2010[/editline]
Also a friend of mine swears John Haughm from Agalloch is the best metal vocalist for clean and shouty vocals or something like that whatever idk

But for metal vocalists who scream and whatnot, I really can't tell the difference at all. Should I be able to?

Can't believe I didn't mention Robert Plant.
David Francey, this man has a flawless voice

Roy Orbison
:colbert:

Niilo Sevänen from Insomnium.

Tomi Joutsen from Amorphis.

Christian Älvestam from Scar Symmetry, Solution .45 et cetera.
Basically this, plus Dan Swano from Edge of Sanity.

Joseph Duplantier

Those screams and growls.
Don Henley, anybody?
Rob Halford, Judas Priest:

Page 2 and no one has mentioned Geddy Lee, what the fuckkkkkkkkkkkk
He is also an amazing bass player

I would rate you late but Roy Khan deserves more mentions. Also you're a cool guy so I've no reason to do that.
Seriously. Roy Khan's voice. It is earsex.
He's a good vocalist. No not a great singer but he's good at rapping.
That's what I meant. Check out his side project Fort Minor and see how good at rapping he is.
Mikael Akerfeldt - Opeth
He's been mentioned before, but look, he's fucking amazing live aswell!

James LaBrie - Dream Theater
He may get alot of hate, but dammit his range is amazing, and back in his heyday before he fucked his voice, he could sing shit like this.

Steve Wilson - Porcupine Tree
It's not the technique or range or anything like that here, it's the subtlety and simplistic beauty of his singing.

Neal Morse - Ex Spock's Beard, Solo
Not just him, but the whole band of Spock's Beard, DEM HARMONIES!

I've always thought of James LaBrie as an amazing vocalist, even when he suffered from those vocal chord ruptures, but damn his old voice was one of a kind

James Hetfield - Metallica
I know I am late, but I felt this video needed to be posted.

Michael Kiske of Helloween

Geoff Tate of Queensryche

Brian Johnson was an amazing vocalist with a pretty good range before he joined AC/DC (which he declined in because he was pulled out of his normal range).
Here are two examples

In the band "Geordie" Brian was in the perfect zone for himself, in terms of his pitch. He could sing a pretty good range and not suffer from any out of the ordinary degradation.
