I didn't mean it that way. I meant was that it doesn't work having unique vocals then generic sounding music.
And just so you don't forget. I think Lamb of God are fucking brilliant. I even mentioned in a thread I specifically wanted to go to one of their concerts..
Listen to the band called Oceana. Their vocalist is amazing in my opinion.
I have a song of theirs, it's pretty good
My favourite vocalists are usually the less conventional ones.

Mike Patton

Or maybe I just like the name "Mike".

I should listen to Opeth more
You should. You'll never go back.
It'd be a lot more approachable if the songs didn't drone on for so long, and that sometimes there are huge gaps with nothing happening.
Opeth isn't for the casual listener, there's usually too much going on.
I on the other hand, love it.
I didn't say it was a bad thing, if for example I'm walking to the bus stop, or doing some work I don't want to be waiting for 2 minutes for the song to begin, as the tension builds and everything like Opeth seem to do.
Axl Rose, his voice is unique.
Myles Kennedy, all I can say is that he sings.
James LaBrie, as previously mentioned,
and Bruce Dickinson is a beast.
Well those are all- to me- bonuses. I think their bluesy interludes and long songs are great.
I forgot to put Bruce Dickinson down there. One of the first voices I really fell in love with when I was first discovering music.

Adele isn't bad nor amazing.
I like how she went with the roots to make her album and people actually liked it.
However Norah Jones and Amy Winehouse have better voices.
