I thought it 2009 or 2010? Like all threads from before like July 2009 that didn't have a 2010 post were wiped. I never fully understood what happened
Is posting a referral link bannable? Informing that it is a ref link aswell. Posted one in the generosity thread, informing etc etc and someone told me it WILL get me banned. Couldnt find anything about it though.
referral links are always bannable no ifs ands or butts

[editline]Edited:[/editline] I wanna say that they're always bannable but I swear that there was at least one situation where it wasn't, though I can't remember when or why that was.

So I assumed it kept any threads that had a post since January 1st 2009. [editline]30th January 2013[/editline]
AFAIK, referral links are (normally) bannable. And people asking for codes. Yes all 59 pages.

I sawed posts from 2008 before. On this site I mean. Also, is forums.facepunchstudios.com the old link? I saw it a bit on the garrysmod.org site when looking at nice maps and things to download. It sometimes makes for annoying as people posted information about the map like the requirements there and the links are broken now. I tried to copy the second part of the url after the com in here but got things about invalid threads a lot.
The problem is people who don't know Lua at all try to modify DarkRP or some other addon, fail, post in the help thread, everyone showers them with dumb ratings and doesn't help, so they decide to make a thread instead, which just makes the situation a whole lot worse. In my opinion we should just go back to having a questions subforum
We should either have a dedicated "editing darkrp" thread that goes over all the basic stuff, or two questions threads. One would be labeled "novice questions" for those who have no idea what they're doing, and one would be "advanced" for people who understand Lua. That way, we don't have the WDYNHW thread being spammed by really really obvious errors I still don't get how people can set up forums but can't set up the ulx motd

No I mean I readed them,
It's sad how you guys are making fun of this person for their bad spelling and stupid (sorry to say) moments which they explained was from a head injury. Is it really that hard to believe? (I guess this counts as a question, why most of the users on this site doubt everything told to them and only believe themselves...) Sorry, I just feel really bad for this person, I majorly sympathize with them.

If the article is very short (I.E, only 1 paragraph total), would it be okay to post the whole thing or is that against the rule?
If the article is very short (I.E, only 1 paragraph total), would it be okay to post the whole thing or is that against the rule?
Is a one paragraph news article really worth posting?
Is a one paragraph news article really worth posting?
If it's breaking news, then it would be in the first few minutes
Is there not a sports subforum for a reason? Is it from lack of sport enthusiasts on the site? Or just not enough sports in general to fill a subforum?
Is there not a sports subforum for a reason? Is it from lack of sport enthusiasts on the site? Or just not enough sports in general to fill a subforum?
Combine the fitness section with a general sports section? That'd be cool. And can anything be done about the endless stupid debates about gun control in threads that aren't actually about it?
oh shit, i'm pretty sure i found the original account that I used http://www.facepunch.com/member.php?u=49411 i remember having that avatar and something to do with cereal but the one thing that is making me doubt it is the postcount were postcounts wiped too at some point?
welp, i tried every single password i remember from the time, still no luck, although I did use some weirdass passwords then can a mod reset the account for me?
welp, i tried every single password i remember from the time, still no luck, although I did use some weirdass passwords then can a mod reset the account for me?
Can you somehow prove it's your account? Email address you used?
Is it from lack of sport enthusiasts on the site? Or just not enough sports in general to fill a subforum?
Most of the discussion would be limited to just a couple of threads.
what does that phrase mean?
what does that phrase mean?
I think it means that only you and the person you directed the message to can see it. [editline]1st February 2013[/editline] And mods and admins, of course, but other gold and blue members can't see it.
Doesn't that mean that the message has to be accepted before it shows on their profile?
Messages are approved by default, you can mark them as moderated by selecting the checkbox and using "Unapprove message" in the moderation options dropdown.
and what happens when they're unapproved? do they just become hidden?
and what happens when they're unapproved? do they just become hidden?
probably
probably
until you approve it manually
Is this even legal? http://www.smfpacks.com/page/sa=facepunch They're selling something with the name facepunch on it that's pretty much a copy of our rating system. Also it's fuckin overpriced as fuck.
