We could divide the island up, one area would be a farming area, because we would need food to support ourselves. 1: Even if you do buy an island, you'd have to comply with the country that owns that island's laws. You can't just buy somewhere and declare it a country - you'd just either be forced to give it up by the army - much more likely if you're going to do illegal things - or be ignored on a national and international level, and if you try anything they'll just get fed up and go with invading. 2: If you can find an island that isn't owned by anyone, chances it are it won't have any amenities - no clean water, no definite food, no internet connection, no connection to the outside world. Could you live with that? 3: Facepunch can't agree on anything, do you really think they could sort out a system of government, laws, a police force, a tax system, hospitals, everything else that's required in a modern society? It's not like you could privatise anything - no-one would have the money. 4: Most Facepunchers aren't old enough to donate money to a cause, let alone leave home.
