i believe in reincarnation but not the same way as what most believers of reincarnation believe. Energy can never be destroyed, it can just change shape, form or whatever. so i guess that could apply to all other things sooo we could be reincarnated into anything. air, water, people again
When you die your energy is already released in the form of heat and flesh, if you're bringing the properties of matter into this, soul is not considered matter, it is considered fiction.
It's called heaven, or since most of you are atheist hell is the only option unless you turn your faith unto the lord.
Your body is a temple == keeping your body in shape, clean from drugs..
Your body is a tool, and your own property. Abusing it harms only yourself.
Your body is a tool, and your own property. Abusing it harms only yourself.
And harms others if you decide to drive or do something stupid.
And harms others if you decide to drive or do something stupid.
So hold the individual responsible, not the substance.
I think either nothingness or maybe that being an impossibility, the force that gives us life and intelligence moving from our remains to an undeveloped fetus.
What leads you to believe this?

I think you are stil conscious when you are dead, so I want my head to sit in an interesting spot to spectate the world around me. preferably infront of a television.
What leads you to believe this, hypocrite.
I say we get to fuck zoey in the afterlife. Or maybe we get to choose our own afterlife simulation.
Watch the movie Flatliners.
I'm not gonna die, I'm fucking LEGOLAS! [editline]11:36AM[/editline]
I say we get to fuck zoey in the afterlife. Or maybe we get to choose our own afterlife simulation.
I would like it :pervert:
As many people have already said, your brain stops working, all your organs shut down, there is no life anymore. You don't feel, see, think. No it's not black. It's nothing. It's like sleeping except no dreams. You won't feel it, infact "You" wont exist, your body will though.
This is what hapenns wen you die: You go to haven were 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 virgins are waiting for you, a SHOOP DA WHOOP cannon for killing jews and blacks, 50000000 bilion dollars, a pc with 1 tera of porn and a reserved lunch with god and all his babbes. You want to know what death's like? I'll tell you in another life, when we are both cats.
When any other living creature on this planet dies, where do they go? Where do flies go when they die? Is there a special place for all the creatures of the earth? Maybe humans are just special? Maybe we just have huge egos?
When you die, your soul makes a thread on FacePunch asking people for their opinions as to what happens after death. The thread goes on for eternity because no one will ever agree on a single idea.
When a friend of mine died when I was 13 i have been asking this question ever since. It really hurts my brain and I often get upset, I guess I think too hard. One of my theories is, Heaven and hell are just a state of mind, they say that your life flashes before your eyes before you die, will they be good or bad thoughts? Also they have done alot of research on out of body experiences when patients have died on the operating table but revived quickly.
I am so sorry for your friend, don't worry i'm sure his killing jews and whatching porn with virgins right now.
It looks like something after death is hotwired into our brains I think that everything just ends but I've got this feeling...

Anything with an electrical network, mammals, birds, insects, fish, even machines collect background energy during it's existence. During that stage, it eventually comes to carry the consciousness after a short period of time, which becomes merged with the nervous systems, or in some cases, the hard drives and processing units, of the subject. Upon death, the electrical charge dissipates, but the consciousness remains, sustained solely by the background radiation of the universe from which it grew around an electrical network, like coral growing around a freshly-sunken ship. As I said, this applies to anything with an electrical network, which includes electronic devices. So theoretically, if an artificial intelligence is permanently shut down, it would continue on as a ghost. The same would apply for a Terminator, or any other kind of intelligent mechanoid. And that's a weird & possibly heartwarming thought: robots have souls. Maybe GlaDOS wasn't joking about Android Hell, after all... So to sum up, animals and electronic devices have souls. This also includes any kind of plant with a rudimentry nervous system, like a Venus fly trap or whatnot.

I'm pleased to see the discussion is still going strong. Also, Deja Vu keeps popping up. People keep linking it with the afterlife and claiming it to be 'unexplained'. Isn't it when the brain confuses senses with memory? It accidentally sends the information to the incorrect part of the brain, making you believe you have lived the moment before, Or something.
I remember i saw a documentary of some kind, where a kid drew all kinds of pictures of a island, rocks, trees, abandoned houses on it etc. and one day some guy told the desperate family that there is a small island like that, so they went there and it looked exactly like on the pictures, it used to be populated 50 or so years ago.
hay guise! Where a file goes when it's completely deleted?
creates a empty gap in the hard drive that it was created in?
I think, you'd see trough your eye-lids, and see what's going on, if your ash, you will have lots of eyes.
creates a empty gap in the hard drive that it was created in?
No, it doesn't create an empty gap. The clusters are simply marked as "available" in the FAT/MFT, and are then overwritten as necessary. If you want all traces of the file completely removed, you have to use a special program to zero out the clusters.
All plants have some sort of nervous system to move to the direction of the sun,
Are these systems electrical-chemical, or merely chemical?

Anyways I've basically come to the conclusion to NOT think about this, but I end up thinking about it anyways. My theory is that we die, and are reincarnated. Why? I don't know. It's just one of those thing's I've decided to keep as my answer. It's not like I'm a hardcore believer in religion or anything, actually I don't even think my religion promises anything in the afterlife.. but yeah I just feel for the moment, reincarnation is the answer to this question when I get asked it. One day when they really figure out what happens, well then I'll believe in that.. Whether there's nothing, or some sort of afterlife.. We'll see.. Or this could just end up being one of those things that never get answereed. Ever.
