2:32 for you lazy people
The end, like when you close your eyes and it's black, like when you sleep and time pasts by because you're not consciously there.
The end of life.
I hope wherever we go that its nice. The earth is shit.
I think it is either:
The electricity in your brain disperses, therefore everything ends, but you won't even notice it.
Or
The electricity in your brain disperses, but in that last moment you immagine yourself something else or somewhere else, and since our brain can make one second seem endless to us, we remain there forever (at least that is what we think, in reality not even one second).
I believe the first one.
Edit: Also we won't really "end" since we are the electricity in our brains (neurons and electrical charges are our toughts) we "disperse" and mix with other stuff, so we don't end, but for our consciousness it's more or less the same thing.
Our brain can't make one second seem more than one second. Dreams are real-time, so are thoughts. Your brain is not a processor, nor is it a magical organ of time-space-continuum-bending-goodness.
Considering matter CANNOT be destroyed and that the Big Crunch theory is correct...
Due to random chance we may partially reassemble usually resulting in death but say after 600 deaths you fully reassemble.
I don't think death is really the end but maybe you exist in another state of conciseness or some uncomprehending form. It would be really boring though just being a ghost and watch for eternity as humans progress and you can only but watch.
Watch chicks take showers, and get changed.
I believe slightly in reincarnation.
I think death will be just like before you were born; nothing at all.
maybe like it is like all black and silent and because of that you turn insane and you start to see things and think your an animal or other person, thus reincarnation
I think that most likely you reincarnate as something else, but without memories, so you don't know you actually reincarnated.
I think you mean matter cannot be destroyed, but I understand what you mean.
The matter that is our body, rots away/gets burned into another form of matter, ashes, soil.
He meant that energy cannot be made or diminished.
Energy is constant.
Someone I knew once said they thought death would be nothingness, but I just can't comprehend it. What would nothingness be like? I mean I know it would nothing, I'm not stupid, but what would it be like too have no sense? Like touch, smell, taste, sight, hearing, ect. Would you still be conscious, as in knowing you're there? Or would it really be just nothing?
I have no idea what death is like/will be like. It's something I tend not to think about.
Death isn't like anything. Your consciousness ceases to exist. It's hard to imagine what this would be like because we're all a bit used to existing.
What's it like not existing
fuck yall's shit, I'm gonna go meet Steve Jobs when I die
I dunno. I reckon your conciousness has to end, no two ways about that for me really, but then..you could be waiting, in any kind of void, for any amount of time.
Then at some point, either by some cause as yet unknown to us (who knows..maybe the matrix has you =O) or just because conciousness has to be experienced by SOMEBODY (that probably makes no sense) then you will live again as something else..but won't remember anything, ofc.
I don't know. It barely makes sense in my head. I just think..I'm here now, concious, typing this, and some other being will come into conciousness some period after I die. I imagine that will also be concious in a similar way, so it has to be experienced by someone, or something. It might not be *ME*, but because the alternative is just..nothing..well nothing is nothing, and there's no time or space in nothing, so that's impossible. In a way. Maybe. Kinda.
I'm not editing this because that's as clear as I can get it =/ one final point I might make however is that I do believe this universe, and/or this plane of reality, is only one of many countless planes. There are also probably lifeforms that do not live in our dimension(s), so..could become something else on Earth, but in a different dimension, and/or something shapeless and invisible.
I want to believe that I will live on in some way forever still connecting with people in some way but I know in my head that I will just be gone and everything will end and I will be forgotten.
i believe in reincarnation but not the same way as what most believers of reincarnation believe. Energy can never be destroyed, it can just change shape, form or whatever. so i guess that could apply to all other things sooo we could be reincarnated into anything. air, water, people again
Energy can indeed not be destroyed but it can end/die, kinda like electricity.

lol I'm late
Aghh... Can't... comprehend... the nothingness... Aghhh!
Hopefully Reincarnation. I don't want to be in complete darkness for all eternity, that sounds like it fucking sucks.
Uh.
Through my experiances
Its sorta like passing out
except you dont hear/feel anything.

It would be complete nothingness, it would be exactly how it was before you were born, you remember nothing, only it will be in reverse, but you won't be there afterward to reflect on what you were and your consciousness which is really all we know as living beings. The brains is just electrical impulses and when they stop working so does anything else. All this shit about souls and spirits is bullcrap. Dead = Gone.
I really want to believe that there's something after our time here on Earth. If this is as good as it gets then... Fuck...
Nothingness is the more probable, but I'll think heaven just to be on the safe side.
My friend's heart stopped for about 10 seconds straight once when he had an allergic reaction to a chemical on his shirt and couldn't breathe. He said that everything went completely silent, just heard nothing. You might think it's normal, but imagine hearing NOTHING. Not even that ringing you hear in your ear in complete silence. Nothing. They used shock paddles on him and revived him, and everything came back.
you appear in a room with just a desk, a chair, and a Powerbook. on the powerbook is IE1 with facepunch on...you cannot close the browser and you are chained to the chair.
i will rest for eternity in the sunken city of r'yleh with my lord cthulhu ftaghn, i'a cthulhu! i'a dagon!
I believe that after death, there is nothing, and before you say anything how can it suck if there is nothing? because if there is nothing therefore you cannot think so if you can't think so you cant tell yourself "oh this sucks" there is just nothing and it would be like a nice sleep, without the dream. That is what I believe. I always hope I am wrong but I'm sticking with my opinion
Your husk dies and you cease to exist. I don't get how "god" made only humans go to heaven when we have many similarities to animals in physically and mentally.
You would think if we were so much better, divine or smarter we would some insane gap separating us.
I personally think husk dies everything fades to black cue silence. You cease to exists no thoughts no anything.
Scratch that no silence or even thoughts kinda hard to describe but just nothing.
Thought this discussion would have died a long time ago, pleased to see it hasn't.
And to think, I came up with it on a whim!
It's like before you were born.
