Maybe were looking at all our past memories right now, and were dieing right now say 60 years from now, but time is going slow in our memories letting us live our lives.
Does that make sense?
I think you are reborn as another human being with obviously no remembrance of your past life because you have a new brain.
I always imagine it as just kind of falling asleep.
Thats the way it happens in all the books, anyways.. :buddy:
The fact there is so many mysteries and such, and just overall so much we don't know, that I think there is more to after life than we think. It's just impossible for death to be the total end.
Quite possibly. Maybe somehow, in some way that defys EVERYTHING we know, our mind stays active, creating what we think after death will be like.
depends. I'll just go with dying of old age and your ticker just stops tickin'
your vision probably get blurry, and your limbs start to feel cold from toes and fingers and crawls up you all the way to you chest eventually, and then everything is black. and you are no more.
now that;s the biological thing, i'm a christian, but i'm not allowed to say what i believe as a christian here
Death is what you belive it is. If you think that when you die your going to be a flower then your going to be a damn flower. If you never thought about death then you going to say "I nearly died!" alot.

Either NOTHING or a "heaven-like place where you can do anything".
It's kinda like dying.

about NDEs
I always thought you would just be reincarnated as a new born baby, unaware of your previous lives and what happened in them.
DAMNIT PEOPLE!
If we keep wondering, we will soon find out, and if we soon find out, what will we wonder about?
brainsore
I don't wanna know.
I always thought you would just be reincarnated as a new born baby, unaware of your previous lives and what happened in them.
Which would be no different from you just dying and ceasing to exist and someone else being born?
Dieing is what it's like before you're conceived.
Oh wait.. :downs:
It's like being really high.
It's like being really high.
In the sky high or that good green stuff high
I shall be reincarnated as a toothbrush
Another mad-cap idea is that when you die, you begin a new life as a foetus in the womb, starting a new life, with a new family. You have no knowledge of your previous lives, just a neverending cycle.
But then we have to assume each live started out like this. Unless each soul divides then this can't be correct.
You go to heaven, don't you guys read the bible?
or 70 virgins
As you die, your brain produces a large amount of the dream-inducing drug it naturally produces. As dreams can seem to last for days, weeks, even years in only hours of actual sleep, your mind in its last second interprets this to be almost infinity. Whatever you believed in in life is represented in this dream.

A toothbrush is not alive.
70 virgins in a universal consciousness

How do you know? Have you been a toothbrush? Nope, nope, not at all

There's more behind my theory but I cba to explain it all, but science seems to support it and all my science teachers so far have been like "yeah that works"
Even some of my religious friends have acknowledged the possibility of that theory, and some have accepted it completely.
Our brain can't make one second seem more than one second. Dreams are real-time, so are thoughts. Your brain is not a processor, nor is it a magical organ of time-space-continuum-bending-goodness.
If it can create perception, and thus, the perception of time, it can also manipulate it. And yes, from my own experience, it is possible for the brain to dialate time - in sleep paralysis, my brain will often extend 5 minutes to 20. Even if it "felt", which is, all experience is - a feeling, it had ultimately altered my perception of time.

I've had dreams that seemed to last for several weeks in the timespan of only 30 RL minutes.
