"She took her life before there was any reconciliation."

Seriously, how the FUCK are you going to continue to believe that you were right after you singlehandedly caused your daughter to commit suicide?! Just HOW?
What you need to understand is, we think now a days people are intolerant, there was even less knowledge about it 15+ years ago. That obviously doesn't fix her mistakes, but you can tell she is deeply hurt.

do you know what reconciliation means
People are fucking stupid. It took the suicide of her daughter to realize that homosexuals are just the same as everyone else and should have equal rights.
But oh no, god doesn't permit it.
what a world we live in. full of FUCKING RETARDED ARROGANT ASSHOLES teaching their kids to be FUCKING RETARDED ARROGANT ASSHOLES and if they are different or they do something they can't understand they BAN IT and just FUCKING HATE. they world is better off without all the religious haters and those god damn bible bashers. I also see zero evidence of which side you are on in that message. You criticize religion and you also criticize those who are against religion. Get a clue of what you are blindly typing and perhaps next time show that you are capable of emotions other than anger.
On another note, my opinion is that religion only causes trouble and there is no evidence otherwise to convince me to believe in it.
It's sad to watch.
Watching this video makes me feel so relieved, and grateful that I have a loving, open-minded family with, next to, no religious background, whatsoever, and will, doubtlessly, still accept me, no matter if I'm gay or straight.
That's all religion does now days. Makes people intolerant to anything outside of whatever stupid book they've been indoctrinated into. Most of them can deal with other people being gay, or not believing in their religion, but not when it's within their own family. It's also why religious fucks shouldn't be in office. It's why in 6 out of 50 states its legal to marry someone of the same sex. In a country that constantly shoves up your ass how equal everyone is, it strips you of 1300ish rights that married couples get if you're gay or lesbian
That was a great documentary.
That was a great documentary.
Yeah don't know if it was mentioned, but this is from the documentary For the Bible Tells Me So if you are interested in the whole thing. It is all about gay teens being discriminated by their family. It doesn't carry an anti-christian message so if that would bother you don't worry. They basically just say how churches and families should stop treating gays this way.
... I accidentally rated this video funny. I'm sorry. Please ignore that.

I was wondering about that. I looked at it and thought, "what a dick." Glad to see it was an accident, though. If you refresh the page, you can rate it something else.
Fuck Christianity, seriously. How could she not tell that shunning her daughter because of her sexuality is immortally wrong, is she trying to score points with "God" or something? Stupid bitch.

Posts like these piss me off. And as a Satanist, I think that says something.
Life don't work that way.

"All old people are fucks and should hurry up and die"
Arrogant arsehole.
It's funny because the Bible itself never said anything about homosexuality, only briefly in Matthew 19 and that one passage that Christians love to pull out (“Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.") even though it referenced the scarcity of humans in that time and implied that a man should use his fertile seed on a fertile woman, rather than wasting it on another man.
In Matthew 19, Jesus said that "eunuchs from birth" (which was a commonly used term for gay people back then in Jewish literature and culture) will in fact "inherit the kingdom of heaven".
Hey can someone go tell this to the Westboro Baptist Church?
Thats Bible literalists for you, blindly pissing in their own book they praise so much.

Well then I'm extremist about having an open mind no matter what.

Is it me or it just sounds weird when said by someone who's making a cartoon show the core of his life?
Ahhh man, why did they have to show the body? Disturbing stuff.......

thats exactly what I said minus caps: 'the world is better off without all the religious haters and those god damn bible bashers'='my opinion is that religion only causes trouble and there is no evidence otherwise to convince me to believe in it.'
Kinda. But I really don't want to argue with someone I agree completely with.

While MLP fans are retarded, his point isn't eroded by his avatar.
Unless your an idiot.

Religion can keep many people in check, and its factual that it does, but in an organized hive-mind setting, religion is both corrosive and greedy.

retarded for flaunting, I mean.

I'm not saying his point is eroded, I agree with it completely. But then again, he's taking a cartoon too far. I was pointing out that he's a hypocrite. And it's not "just his avatar". I don't think I have to explain it to you. Unless you're an idiot.

"Core of their life" is by far the wildest and dumbest assumption I've heard in this thread.
No idiot is going to make it the core of their lives, at most it would be something to kill time. MLP avatars are just flaunting some pride, to say "They make it the core of their life" is utterly blind and extremist in itself against MLP fans.
It's like saying "you have a WoW avatar are you a basement dweller?"
Point is that, its stupid to hate anyone for race, sexuality, or religion.

"Core of their life" was an obvious overstatement to ridicule what they're doing, that's one thing.
The other is, it's not just the fact that one has an avatar of something. You know what I'm talking about, you even admitted that it's more than just having an avatar. Yet at the end you act like you don't understand again. You expect to come out as someone intelligent yet you pull off the "hurr durr don't know what you mean" card. What the fuck?
There's a lot of stuff like that in the bible. Like the part that lots of christians use to condemn masturbation. The actual segment the quote comes from is because this guy promised he'd have a child with this woman for God, but he kept putting it off, and God got mad at him for doing it.
There is also the part where bible calls homosexuality an abomination.
Funfact: The bible also tells you to gouge out your eyes if you get aroused by seeing an attractive woman:
Even though this conflicts with Christian notions of the soul being seperate from the body, and the idea of redemption, but hey who gives a fuck! Continuity is for suckers!
So pretty much, if you want to follow the bible word for word, all straight men must cut out their eyes, and only gay men are allowed to have eyes, since they're aroused by attractive men, not attractive women and, if we take the bible word for word, that means they're exempt of this little "eye-gouging" clause
It clearly says your right eye, so your left is exempt. Just wear an eye patch, and you can look at all the ladies you want.
Care to quote it please? I'd be interested to find this passage.
Chapters 18 and 20 of Leviticus, which form part of the Holiness code, contain the following verses:
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is an abomination.[2](Leviticus 18:22 KJV)
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.[3](Leviticus 20:13 KJV)
Abomination + death penalty.
But I'm sure you can find another verse saying that homosexuals are actually cool.
Actually the whole bible is full of contradictions, and in almost every single case, it's pick and choose. I'd say in most cases it's the persons fault for choosing passages that later reason him to do horrible things. The passages are just an excuse and amplification of what's already in someone.
