I need to get some money on Paypal (having problems doing it through my bank) and I'll pay for the initial cost of the site. Then we can just potluck it to keep it up.

If we get ads on there right away they will probably pay for it.
I have this visa gift card laying around with 5 bucks on it, I can throw that in if you want Agent.
Hi guys... Looking into doing some spraying in my town. Not the normal shit but real pictures (3-4 layers). I am totally new to this and wanted to ask some questions. Firstly im really interested in multiple layers and wondered if when you do your layers do you start with the main "shadow" of a face (For example) and then start painting layers OVER the last layer OR do you only ever have one real layer of paint on at a time (Sorry, this is hard to explain, ill do somthing on MSpaint if you don't get it).
Secondly. How long does it take the paint to become able to be painted over. So dry enough to paint over without ruining the fresh paint by mixing colours.
Thirdly, I am thinking of starting off with some simple single layer things such as the TF2 logo and the cake logo thing from portal... I also made a black and white image of the tux penguin on gimp which i would like to try. Is this a good starting point?
Forthly (It goes on :P ), for the stencils themselfs i found a supplyer of some thin A1 acitate sheet for about £6-£7 with postage. Is this a good thing to use for a reusable stencil? And can i use use normal printing paper for things like the TF2 logo for starters?
Lastly (Thank god xD), Im in the UK and am looking for a decent paint supplier. Does anyone know any good ones? Currently I have found moster colours and wondered if anyone has had any experience with them. They sell 400ml cans for £1.99 ea (+ postage) so is this a good deal? And how long will a 400ml can last?
Sorry for the wall of text guys but I am really interested in this :D.
Thanks
Hm, if you're going to start off, you might want to try designing your own little logo instead of using an already existing one. It'll give you a chance to get creative and you can put your own little mark on your city instead of it being more like an advertisement for a game lol
I mean, if you really want to do it, go for it, but just think about how much cooler it would be to put up something of your own design.
Ok i think i will make a stencil of a picture of mine... Is that a good idea?
Also found lots more suppliers when i searched "graffiti supplys" rather than "graffiti paint"

Anyone used this paint before? If not can somone please link me to a decent paint for a decent price in the UK? Most cans seem to be £3 for 400ml but im sure some paint is better than others so please tell me :D And how long does a 400ml last?
When doing layers just think about the levels you see the paint as planes, which ones overlap which, then do them one by one till you're at the front layer. Usually just looking at YouTube will help you find the good spray paint, if you're practicing I'd buy cheap spray paint so you don't run out of all your good stuff on bad designs.
Also when you're doing stencil's just use transparent sheet protectors, an exacto blade, sharpies, and scotch tape.
If you're getting graffiti paint and you're decent at it, you'll be able to spray over almost instantly.

Just watched youtube, if you're going to be doing multiple layers don't go for Kobra.
Monstercolors seems a little bit dull and too brushy and smeary. It's more expensive but I'd get Molotow or Montana Gold.

Well I don't know if I would get into multiple layer spraying if you're brand new to it. First of all if you aren't familiar with spraying anything at all it does take a bit of getting used to (mentally and I guess physically). Secondly, things that you spray in my opinion should always be original, even if you're just modifying some picture to look silly. Of course, I'm not trying to stop anyone from making street art that they downloaded off of the internet, but IMO that takes a lot away from the experience and the overall goal.

This will give you a good idea of how to layer. If you're trying to be subtle get some magnets and hook them on the bottom of the can so the metal ball doesn't make a sound when you shake it. Also you're going to need to buy at least 3-6 different caps.
Thanks for the info guys. What do you think on this?

A little cheeper and some good reviews.
Those reviews are probably 99% from the website themself, just because they're all 5/5 and they one word first names on a graffiti site. But that's a Montana and I just looked it up on youtube and it looks like a pretty good one for the price.
I really like Bombing Science
They often have good sales and lots of package deals with good stuff.
Its american :( graff city seems to be the best in the UK though im not too sure

For test paint, try your local pound shop. I bought some in there today to try a stencil on some wood I found. The paint wasn't particularly brilliant but it was a quid. Good for testing things out.
Got the fire extinguisher last night but I'm not entirely sure if it's the right kind. I'll work more on it today and post pictures of it. The nozzle says "don't pull pin if pressure is more than 50 psi", but when I turn the co2 on, it immediately goes to 100. :v:

DO NOT FILL IT WITH CO2!!!!! unregged co2 is about 850PSI AND IT WILL BLOW UP!!!! DO NOT FILL WITH UNREGGED CO2!!!!
And Rhymenoceros, funny enough I did today but could only find clear coat and £1 for 200ml so its not really that cheap assuming your not getting a full load like everything in poundland.
Haha I know, we're just going to unscrew the hose and let all the co2 out slowly, then unscrew the top and put paint in

If you look a few posts up I use Spanish Montana MTN cans. The quality is really amazing because of all the details they pay attention to. Things like pressure, caps and the like.
http://www.shopmtncolors.com/
I'm sure some of your local art depots would have some.

Thanks for the info man. Graff City sells MTN 94 cans for £3.20 so i think that is a good deal. Also for practicing on card/paper im not sure what to use. Poundland dont seem to sell it so i need to find a cheap source of paint thats ok for practice use.... Any ideas? How about some paint in a water sprayer (I wanna try some stencils)

God damn, http://www.illuminartycolors.com are cheap... Read some good stuff about them too! I did a test. added 10 cans (minimum order) and went to check out. Total cost was £26,90 WITH SHIPPING. Thats only £2.69 per can to your door. Also they sell caps for 5p/2p each (only fat caps and skinny caps though) and they sell a 15mm marker for just £1.35. I think im going to be placing an order soon :P
Heres a video of the paint

That's good, but ten cans minimum order is a bit poor form.
I did a currency conversion, Ironlak are cheaper per can from BombingScience, but end up being more expensive with shipping. It's $9.20 for 1 can, and then it goes up by about 50c/can.
On the other hand, I don't know international shipping rates from illuminarty, or whether they even ship overseas.
I've been painting alot lately. unfortunately, i'm developing a nasty cough and headaches. so im stopping until my mask arrives. so bored.
I prefer the 99 cent paint from walmart.
I got 3 cans of really really good spray paint today and I was planning on doing a tag but my ride dropped out on me so I guess I'll be doing it tomorrow. I'll take pictures step by step for a kind of tutorial thing. The spot that I'm going to hit is a well known spot to tag and just explore but rumor has it that they've repaired the fence so this could be tricky.
The guy that sold it to me knew I was going to do something illegal and when I bought it he was messing with me and asking me what I was going to do with it. I was just like "uhh...spray paint stuff.."
I usually get my dad to buy my paint. Only because I look so young, people always refuse to sell it to me even when I show them my ID.
Just too much hassle, so I just tell him to go out and get it for me.
I bought my paint from an art supply store so I didn't need my friend to buy it for me, the guy just gave it right to me, no questions about my age. He was really funny and flamboyant, he told me to come back and tell him how the art went haha.
people always refuse to sell it to me even when I show them my ID.
What, seriously? This doesn't even sound legal to me. Next time this happens, either ask for a supervisor (if you're the actual required age to buy something, and you have legit ID to prove it, they should be fucking fired), or just pull out your cell and, as you dial the number, tell them you're calling the cops. Nobody working on minimum wage likes anyone calling the fuzz within 100 yards of them, and will 99% of the time just fold, do the right thing, and sell you whatever the fuck you want.

Local art supply stores are the best.
We have this place here:

Go to small locally owned hardware stores, walmart and home depot always give me trouble even if I show them my ID, the small stores don't care nearly as much, I don't think I've ever been carded by one.
