Guys. Guys. Your stuff is fucking great. Read through everything from last night. Sprung an idea. We can draw our own pictures, or use collaborated pictures. Each will have a little slogan, and possibly direct to our website. Like each picture can have a different drawing, and a little catchphrase like the in the Coca-Cola moon. FYI the Coke and robot stuff is just great. [editline]21st July 2011[/editline] Wewt what did you make your stuff with?
I was thinking that the silhouette of Tanner from the cover of Driver 2 would look cool somewhere. [IMG]http://dkgames.files.wordpress.com/2008/02/driver2.jpg[/IMG] I've always found silhouettes to that full, but empty effect.
[QUOTE=wewt!;31245083]Final version (apart from the slogan): gonna work on some other ideas now, I'm really liking the stuff you guys are making, it's fantastic[/QUOTE] I liike this! Also, if we're going to have an organization of street artists, there'll have to be some rules about keeping our identities anonymous, coming up with pseudonyms if we need to, etc since we'll be dabbling in illegal stuff here. Some of us more than others. I'll write another little announcement about it in the Steam group in a bit. And I'll edit the previous one like Mako asked.

Don't go running around saying things like, "OMG I joined this super cool Facepunch group where we wheat paste stuff all over the place!!!" That would pretty much be going against everything we are working towards. Kind of like Mr. Brainwash and how he became obsessed and basically went against all of the other artists' morals. Anonymous identities should be a given.
Yeah. This isn't about fame. It's not about getting ourselves noticed as individuals. It's getting a message out.
I joined the Steam group (username is Signal) did any of you guys pick out a slogan?
[QUOTE=wewt!;31249179]I joined the Steam group (username is Signal) did any of you guys pick out a slogan?[/QUOTE] I think we should have several slogans (maybe one unique to each person) but that all relate to the theme.
Several slogans with the central message being "Make Street Art Legal" sounds good to me. Slogans can probably be up to you guys on your individual pieces. Use your imagination! Also I made a rules announcement. If there are any other rules that you guys may think of, let me know.
I've been interested in street art for ages. I've never done it on walls as it scares me, but I draw ideas a lot. Lately I've been exploring the theme of 'Urban Foxes', how animals, like foxes, come to cities to get better food, the whole culture of wild animals has been urbanized and domesticated and it makes me sad. Also some of the drawings in this thread are great! The coca-cola moon is brilliant.

I'd like to add that people should be extra careful when posting photos of their work on the site, as in, clear the exif data Now I have an oled panel for a friends HTC Desire shipped in, so I have to go an replace that then afterwards continue working on this: [img]http://u.cubeupload.com/Signal/263Breznaslova.png[/img] probably going to do some revamps
more dogborg [img]http://gyazo.com/2389330145724def49b447a65382e31c.png[/img] this is just me scribbling.

Easy with a bit of insight and planning.
I'm really just waiting for a base to work off of that we can all agree on.
[QUOTE=Pascall;31250599]I'm really just waiting for a base to work off of that we can all agree on.[/QUOTE] Should try and get some people in the chat and have a little meeting. [editline]21st July 2011[/editline] The thing I do like is how our slogan allows for more creativity and unique stuff from each individual artist.
We could do that later tonight probably since it seemed like the time when people were most active.
Make a tree the center of the piece and have everyone draw shit on the branches.
[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kU1o-xKYkT0&sns=em[/media] Maybe this will give you guys some inspiration.
Quick FYI: If you have a picture that the group really likes and you feel the urge to start pasting/spraying before the actual project starts feel free. As long as our message gets out; we just can't call the project official until we've agreed on a few things. [editline]21st July 2011[/editline] 10:00 PM EST a good time to start the meeting? Maybe 9:00? [editline]21st July 2011[/editline] 9:00 preface, 10:00 actual meeting starts.
Are we going to use a separate logo or maybe like a play off of the Facepunch logo? We could use the Facepunch logo as our origin, but once this gets bigger it won't really be a part of that. My friend has one of those fire extinguishers you can fill with paint and there's huge blank buildings around here, I just want something I can spray up like 15 feet tall haha
A new logo would be good. We'd have to do some brainstorming.
Hence First Look: "The Future" Meeting :v:
We should remember some topics to cover at the meeting. Logo, URL, graffiti names, themes, etc. Also for our graff names, I usually go by OLAF when I put stuff up around here, but I was thinking, if we want to put our street art names anywhere creatively, maybe we could use something like those clan tags people have in online games. Like an acronym of our site, MakeStreetArtLegal. So it'd be [MSAL](your name here). Just an idea, but that would keep us as a group while also representing our individual styles.
[QUOTE=absolalone111;31188908]is that in a skatepark in london, near the london eye?[/QUOTE] super late but yeah its the southbank [editline]22nd July 2011[/editline] I wonder it's still there
The chatroom is open. Join at 9:00 EST for a preface where I'll explain what is going to happen for the meeting, and other topics not important to the main topic of the meeting. I'll start talking at 9:05.
I'll be home in about an hour and a half. Maybe a little later. Ill join then.
Ok wait, what time is it now for you? It's the middle of the morning here, I have college and stuff D: [editline]22nd July 2011[/editline] 9:25pm, is that right? That means I'm 10 hours behind [editline]22nd July 2011[/editline] Trouble and strife

Official meeting in 25, might wait for Pascal depending on the volume of people. [editline]21st July 2011[/editline] If you miss anything important you will be notified.
I can do it in 25, won't be able to wait an hour though, sorry Pascall :/
There's probably a time we can decide on that works for all countries.
