GTA V Next Gen - First Person Mode - General

They said they have redone all the movement, animations and such to support the first person mode ...Have they added crouching yet?

This is developed separately (aka not a shitty port) and I'd imagine that you'd be able to adjust some settings lower. And that's if you have a computer with lower specs than a PS4.

Meh, looks alright I guess :v: Just not overly hyped for it since it's a next gen exclusive only kind of thing, yeah it's a cool feature but I rather stick to Third Person

I'd imagine that'd be there as a performance option

Ok that actually looks pretty cool, just I hate to be the one to say that for the the FoV is going to [B]need[/B] to be a bit higher, or at least smaller weapon models.

Weapons are going to be so overpowered on the PC with this. You'll just be popping headshots from ridiculous ranges. GTA4's best weapon was the pistol because you could trivially pop headshots on enemies, which would pretty much always go down with one headshot. But with this? Assault rifle range, with headshots. If first shot is guaranteed 100% accurate, the shooting parts of the campaign will be nice and easy.

This looks fucking amazing. I've never been a fan of GTA in the past because of the third person gameplay. I dislike how third person games control in general, and imo any third person game would be better as an FPS. I didn't want to buy GTAV on last gen hardware, and with this coming to PC with First Person mode? holy shit. I might actually love this game.

If they have a more fluid video editor than GTA IV this is an instant buy for me, that was so fun in GTA IV but so fucking slow

Also, you have to remember it's a lot easier to locate targets in 3rd person so each mode will likely have its benefits in shootouts. The wait is worth it. I doubt my PC could run it and I generally prefer to buy my game with all DLC included but damn, looks like I'm buying it on release. I hope it supports Steam without me signing in extraneous services.

There are tons of great games that wouldn't work as FPSs, and most of the time, the animations in general are much better because you're forced to look at them all the time

Case and point is Max Payne 3. Those animations are gorgeous

People who play 3rd Person in MP would still have the advantage because of the wider FOV and the ability to move the camera to look around stuff. But it will be nice in Single Player.
