Are out of body experiences real?
Zinayzen is a cool guy. I added him on steam, completely fucking randomly and he's put about two hours in to educating me about LD.
Not really. If you felt exactly what you feel in your dream, I wouldn't be able to do NEARLY as much stuff as I do. Probably, but why the hell would melatonin help? Not that I know of. MILD, probably. Read the OP. Dream recall and dream journals. Just get a chaingun, man.
Melatonin is important in regulating Circadian rhythms so helps define when you fall asleep and the like.

Interesting things myself.
Melatonin is important in regulating Circadian rhythms so helps define when you fall asleep and the like.
Huh. Really? Go figure. I'll add that stuff to the OP right now.
I was really tempted to try Lucid Dreaming but for fucks sake I fucking hate scary and creepy dolls and NO I DON'T WANT TO SEE A FUCKING DOLL IN MY FACE. No lucid dreaming for me :(
Hey, does anyone know what font's used in the OP? I had a friend do it but he's gone. I have the template, I just don't have the font and I want to make a dream food section.
 Isn't it true that sunlight increases melatonin levels? If so, Doesent that help you sleep? What's an easy way to go into a Lucid Dream? Anything I should know before I try? And how long should I wait before I change myself? I want a chaingun Hand :woop:
Someone anwser my questions :saddowns:
You can talk about whatever you want. Usually it Sleep paralysis. See OP. (You want to look at the definition for REM atonia, not HH)
Thanks for the help, but I did not experience any hypnogagic (or how ever they're spelled) hallucinations, I simply felt as though my entire body was in pinpricks. Also, I forgot to include I was riding some bigass roller coasters that day.
reach out for the doll and devour its face
Tempted to make a courage wolf for this.
Someone anwser my questions :saddowns:
He's answered them. Maybe not directly to you, but he has. Read through the thread.

Since there is practically no muscle tone at all, this is called REM atonia." That's what happened. Want me to post a dream I wrote down a while back, it's like 3 A5 sheets of paper? But interesting no doubt.
Cool thread, it's nice to see a dedicated OP.
Want me to post a dream I wrote down a while back, it's like 3 A5 sheets of paper? But interesting no doubt.
Sure. I just don't want it to like stretch the page and stuff, you know? Damn, I wish we still had spoiler tags. Sure, post it.
I'll have to post It tomorrow as I can't copy it over on this iPod.
So I've read that when people lucid dream things are breath-takingly beautiful, stunning landscpaes, skies etc. but I was wondering, when I dream ordinarily with no control, I usually dream sort of in grey, if anything at all (sometimes it's just an 'idea' not an actually 'picture' if that makes sense). I've only ever seen colour once or twice, years ago. Why is this?

Here is a perfect example of one of my WILDs: I woke up at night and went back to sleep. I started seeing hypnagogic images and knew that I was close to a dream. So I imagined the cockpit of a Spitfire. Then I started hearing the rumble of an engine, and the image became clearer and clearer and WOOSH suddenly I was in the cockpit of a spitfire, holding the stick, looking at the clouds below me, it felt incredibly real. Then I noticed German bombers and went after them, thinking "this is a fucking awesome lucid dream", I shot some down and then woke up amazed at how clear it was.

WILDs are cool like that. oh fuck i forgot to talk about WBTB. I don't know if I should, though.
Yeah. WILDs are cool like that. oh fuck i forgot to talk about WBTB. I don't know if I should, though.
I find it ineffective, but who knows, someone might.
Yeah. WILDs are cool like that. oh fuck i forgot to talk about WBTB. I don't know if I should, though.
That technique is what I use. If I want to maximize my chances of a WILD, I set the alarm clock to wake me up 4 hours after I go to sleep, then when it wakes me I do the usual WILD tricks like relaxation on my back and whatever it usually requires. Much easier to get a WILD after sleeping for a while.
Oh, and I tried the "lay on your back for 30 mins" thing, and it sort of worked, I started feeling random shiver-like feelings, and every now and then the complete blackness from mye eye lids turned into something clear, like me sitting on a classroom (boring, I know.) Is that what you mean with hypnagogic images?
What about HILD?
Sorry for asking again but I want an answer. Are out of body experiences real?
Sorry, thought I replied. No. Sometimes lucid dreams can put you like at the foot of your own bed watching you sleep (it's hard to not wake up to these, though, because when your sleeping arm moves your dream arm moves and your brain makes the connection which snaps you out of it). OoB experiences are something for the supernatural board to discuss. (I could have sworn we had one.)
