I live. Now to read the thread. I saw zin post and i'm like :haw:
Jake, read what I told you. I'll explain it, and it'll be a very long post. Do you understand what your sub is doing to you?

I assume you still don't want me to :raise:?
Hey some of you remember my GD thread about that whole girl situation I was/am in. Well I just had a nap and I'm pretty sure I know what my dream means but here's what happened. I was with my parents, still in New York, but in a hotel of some kind. We were all dressed formally like we were going to a party, except AFAIK in the dream I was the only one going on a date. I told her I'd pick her up at 4:00. Time in the dream passes as I wait for my parents, which looking at it know I have no clue why I had to wait for them if I was ready. All of a sudden it's 7:00 and I'm still waiting for them, I look at the time and I freak out. I'm guessing in the dream she wasn't very far from where I was, because I ran out to just run to her house or something. I tried to call her, but my phone was dead. As I'm going through this neighborhood I notice that it's really fucked up. Like our "hotel" was really fancy and stuff, but it was somehow located right outside some ghetto neighborhood. Except it was like this neighborhood was from the south the way the houses looked. Anyways I'm running around trying to find her house but I kept getting lost it was so dark. Then it ended.
Must resist clicking spoiler tag What is this bombshell that must be dropped
Well, to explain what's happening to you, I kind of have to explain what my relationship with my sub is. Bombshell incoming. I haven't directly remembered a dream in approx. ~2 years. A while back, my sub and I had a similar experience to what you're going through. Long story short (and if I have to explain how the process occurs, I will), my sub and my conscious self have a link that probably shouldn't be there. You know how when you dream, you can talk directly to your sub? Picture a slightly diluted version of that that you can have whenever you're actually awake. So, see, what I do, is when I wake up, I just sit in bed for a minute to regain some cognitive function, then just grab my journal and ask myself what I dreamt about. Then I just start writing whatever comes into my head. My sub entirely fills in the blanks. I remember it happening as I'm writing, but I don't know what's coming next as I'm writing it. It's hard to explain. As I'm writing, I just know what's happening. It feels right, like nothing else would make sense. Even for the littlest details. That isn't to say I don't go lucid in my dreams, but my recall doesn't work the same way most peoples' do.
Simple, you've lost your hope in her. You still like this person somewhat and try to find something that could reassure you about her, but you can't, symbolizing her house. The ghetto neighborhood is to give to give you a sense of fear she gave you when you realized she was going to jail (Aside from, you know, her living in that type of neighborhood) Also sup I remember that thread
Zin can I have an answer. Wasn't directed at anyone but I believe you could answer it best. http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=24466343&postcount=3232
Oooh. I've heard about something like that before, where you just put a pen to paper and sort of... write coherantly
Also FIESTA! Broke my automerge! :ese:

Happens to me every morning, your brain's still winding down. Also, Jake, I have a great analogy for sleep paralysis in the next megathread. [editline]06:57PM[/editline]
Oooh. I've heard about something like that before, where you just put a pen to paper and sort of... write coherantly
Half the time I wait several hours and just type it up directly. Remember that sex dream I posted? That was the first time I'd ever written it down.
But but thats another 1800 posts away! :(
Also FIESTA! Broke my automerge! :ese:
Fiesta! :ese: Fiesta!
Also, Jake, I have a great analogy for sleep paralysis in the next megathread.
And it's amazing cause we're actually closing in on it, page 80 from 130 (or 120)
Are you shitting me. What the fuck
Now, as to how that relates to YOU. Your sub's trying to establish that link. You're beginning the transition into a complete personification switch, which is vital. You can't communicate in your head like that until you can be in each other's heads, if that makes sense. Before you can get to the point I'm at, you're going to have to learn to be one with your sub. I'll give you probably three months. Took me a long, long time.
[editline]12:00PM[/editline] This freaked me out the most isn't that like a mental illness :ohdear: [editline]12:00PM[/editline] Bipolar disorder, I mean?
No, it's not like that. It's not constant, like there's a voice in my head that's always talking to me. I can just talk at will. It's pretty cool, actually. And I'm still learning things about myself.
Also wait I can't read the spoiler for THREE months?
Or you could take the blue pill. Anyone want me to scan and pages from my Stephen LaBerge book on any particular techniques are exercises to help with LDing and induction methods. I will scan one to help improve your memory so it makes MILD a lot easier.
So do you still get the imagery in your head? Or just feel the words? I would want the imagery. Thats half the point of dreaming.
It's quite literally impossible to explain. But I'll try. USING POOR ANALOGIES. I have my dream, and I go lucid. I remember everything in detail, but I don't remember it when I wake up. Picture my brain like a dam. I get a big buildup of extremely detailed water, but then I travel downstream and I can't get to the water at a lower point because the dam's holding all of it. I start writing, and it's like my sub opens the dam for me. So as I write, I begin to remember everything in extreme detail. It saves me the trouble of dream recall. Mind you, I don't need to write it down, either. I can just ask myself what I dreamt about and I'll remember. It's a good way to pass the time on car rides.

How did it come to be?
Also wait I can't read the spoiler for THREE months?
No, just your next LD involving your sub. I'm betting I already called exactly what's going to happen in it, and that's what's in the spoiler tags. So just wait until you dream, then write it down, post it, and check my spoilers.
That is soooooo awesome I feel I shouldn't confront my sub about this
Wait wait waiiit Zin. About the Spoiler (Sorry Jake!) Does that mean [sp] that that exact thing happned to you? [/sp]
Turn into monster and eat it. Then you become one. Okay maybe not. Here is an exercise to improve your memory for MILD and reality checks.
MILD prerequisites To successfully induce lucid dreams with MILD, you need to have certain capacities. First of all, if you can’t reliably remember to carry out future intentions while awake, there is little chance that you will remember to do anything while asleep. So before attempting MILD, you need to prove to yourself that you can indeed remember to do things while awake. If you are like most people, you are used to relying on external reminders and therefore need practice in remembering intentions using only your own mental power. The following is an exercise to help you acquire the necessary skill to perform the MILD technique. Exercise: Prospective Memory Training 1. Read the day’s targets This exercise is designed to be practiced over an entire week. Below is a set of four target events for each day of the week. When you get up in the morning, read only the targets for that day. (Do not read the targets before the proper day.) Memorize the day’s targets. 2. Look for your targets during the day Your goal is to notice the next occurrence of each event, at which time you will perform a state test: “Am I dreaming?” So, if your target is, “The next time I hear a dog bark, “ when you hear this next, note it and do a state test. You are aiming to notice the target once – the next time it happens. 3. Keep track of how many target events you hit At the end of the day, write down how many of the four targets you succeeded in noticing (you can make a space in your dream journal to record your progress with this exercise). If you realize during the day that you missed your first chance to notice one of your targets, then you have failed to hit that target, even though you may notice its occurrence later in the day. If you are certain that one or more of the targets did not occur at all during the day, say so with a note in your dream journal. 4. Continue the exercise for at least one week Practice the exercise until you have tried all of the daily targets given below. If at the end of the week, you are still missing most of the targets, continue until you can hit most of them. Make up your own list of targets, keep track of your success rate, and observe how your memory develops. Daily Targets Sunday The next time I see a pet or animal The next time I look at my face in a mirror The next time I turn on a light The next time I see a flower Monday The next time I write anything down The next time I feel pain The next time I hear someone say my name The next time I drink something Tuesday The next time I see a traffic light The next time I hear music The next time I throw something in the garbage The next time I hear laughter Wednesday The next time I turn on a television or radio The next time I see a vegetable The next time I see a red car The next time I handle money Thursday The next time I read something other than this list The next time I check the time The next time I notice myself daydreaming The next time I hear the telephone ringing Friday The next time I open a door The next time I see a bird The next time I use the toilet after noon The next time I see the stars Saturday The next time I put a key in a lock The next time I see an advertisement The next time I eat anything after breakfast The next time I see a bicycle

Turn into monster and eat it. Then you become one. Okay maybe not.
Damnit boy this isn't prototype
That is by far. the most exciting thing i have ever, ever, ever read. Sounding borderline crazy but.. i.. so many questions!? Whats it like? How did it come to be?
It's not like it's any different. But it's one of the reasons I'm 100% myself regardless of what group I'm with. There's no point in trying to disguise myself if I know I'm doing it and I know it's wrong. I can't fool myself about stuff, it's like my sub (and therefore moral compass) is always watching. I enjoy it, really. I have no idea. One day I had a conversation with it, and I don't remember exactly what it was about, but I think I asked it to just make us closer. And after that conversation, everything was just a little different. It's kind of like what's happening to Jake. Before that point, I had dreams where I could do whatever crap I wanted in my dreams, and it was cool. After that point, it was like my sub was putting me through boot camp. Which is exactly what's happening to him.
