Baby steps first i guess, im pretty happy with my dream recall, a year ago i could honestly say the last dream i remembered would have been 3-5 years ago, now its atleast once every 2 days. Im just having troubles with reality checks.
If you want a really simple one, every time you hear a really loud noise, examine your hands. In dreams, your hands are kind of fuzzy and fucked up, so if they look out of the ordinary, you're probably dreaming. Best combined with another RC.
http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=24468682&postcount=3270
I'll Give that a go, shame my DJ is tiny (a5) but that sounds like a good idea, i usually try poking my hands if anything seems out of the ordinary. Edit - Which prompted a rather large amount of questions from my work mates.
I leave for 2 hours and shit goes down. Jake delete zin's spoilertag thingy cause then you'll really be tempted to read it. Or I guess I'm too late. Also Zin does this mean that you've pretty much come in touch with who you are? I've heard of people doing intense meditation to reach conscious oneness with themselves, like the Nepali Buddhists and Hindus. Jake you are unlocking the secrets of your mind holy shit. [editline]04:06PM[/editline] I hate wasps too

I try to meditate for about 40 minutes a day, if I can. Clearing your mind is just a good thing to do, LD or otherwise.
This is what happens when you drunk sleep.
When I sleep drunk, I don't dream. I just pass out.
DOnt you HAVE to dream. You just dont remember any of it?
Well technically yes but the alcohol kills your brain cells so you don't remember much. Hell when I get smashed I don't even remember passing out. btw dont mix drinks
DOnt you HAVE to dream. You just dont remember any of it?
Depends. That's not always true, occasionally your brain just straight up shuts down. Or I'm wrong, which is possible.
This is what happens when you drunk sleep.
I wasn't drunk in the morning that was a recent nap I took. It's 5:40 PM and I wasn't even drunk yesterday I told you I was tipsy
I wasn't even drunk yesterday I told you I was tipsy
oh, i've heard that one before
But.. but.. :crying:
But.. but.. :crying:
heard that too :smug:
OP, you say you can summon your subconscious; What's that like? Is it just where you think something and it happens, or is there some sort of physical manifestation of yourself talking to you, except you can't control it seeing as it's your subconscious? I'm so interested!
Jake, you go ahead and cover that one, I'm gonna go get food. Plus I'm sick of that question. :<
Its nice you have Jake now Zin, he should get like a Sleep Master Jr avatar.

But from what they have said, your subconscious is a physical manifestation. It will take the form of whatever your mind believes it should be, or whatever you feel most comfortable with. I do believe you can ask it to change to whatever you want though. EDIT: I do believe you cant control it (Im probably wrong) And I also believe that you normally have to summon it, unless its already in the dream. Basically what he said \/
OP, you say you can summon your subconscious; What's that like? Is it just where you think something and it happens, or is there some sort of physical manifestation of yourself talking to you, except you can't control it seeing as it's your subconscious? I'm so interested!
Will do. Well summoning your subconscious is basically closing your eyes, imagining your subconscious in front (or behind) you, and then saying "When I open my eyes, my subconscious will be in front/behind me" and it should be there. Summoning your subconscious takes practice and experience because you really need to focus your energy on making it appear. Once you summon your subconscious it will take the form of whatever you think your subconscious looks like, or if you haven't really thought about that, what it believes would help you comprehend/not overwhelm you/have the best reaction to. Your subconscious is you, but the part of you that isn't swayed or influenced by emotion. Instead, your subconscious acts like the director of your dreams, setting them up for you to be in to help you get over or get use to a certain thing. Talking to your subconscious is very insightful and once you gain a good bond between eachother you will become spirtually at balance. [editline]02:57PM[/editline] Once your subconscious decides on a certain image you should be able to notice it as a dream sign and eventually it'll appear more often in your dreams, causing you to gain lucidity at the sight of it

And I assume it has a mind of it's own? As in, if you ask it a question it's not what your answer would be, it's what it own answer would be? (So to speak, obviously it's you).
