it was a picture book
The book was completely normal. Just a bit larger font. I read two pages. It was the end of a chapter and the start of the next.
The crazy part is that I remembered all of it in good detail enough to record it in my DJ.
so I had an awesome dream last night, and seeing this thread, I though it'd be a good idea to post it here and let you guys go crazy with interpretations:
it started when me and Fry (from Futurama) had come across a car that could go through space AND time by fucking with the radio tuner and the volume knob. I got sent to Middle Earth and joined Aragorn and the others on their journey to Rohan while Fry got stuck in a time between 2000 and 3000 where Owls are sentient and live side-by-side with humans.
Fry, used to the idea of Owls as Pests, kills one with a net and accidentally starts a war between Owls and Humans, setting the stage for owls being reduced to pests in his timeframe. he eventually settles down as a cab driver, waiting for me to come back with the car.
I, meanwhile, accidentally get Eowyn stuck in time and space and I have to find her. we eventually appear in the cab Fry is driving and he, not really paying attention to the people who just appeared in his car (I was wearing some form of armor and had Wolverine Claws, so he couldn't recognize me. why he would recognize me in the first place I don't know, but it's a dream, bear with me.), strikes up conversation with Eowyn, trying to hit on her, and she ends up outing herself as a Lesbian, much to our dismay. at one point she goes "I don't "fuck" a lady, I "make love" with a lady", and I, finally revealing myself to a startled Fry, reply "too true!". once me and Fry get everything settled and not-confusing we decide to take Eowyn back to Middle-Earth, because apparently the cab Fry was using was the Time Car all along. but before we go to Middle Earth, I set the Time Car to take us to a Pizza Place in the Present Day because I was hungry.
then I woke up.
it was probably the greatest dream I ever had, and I'm depressed that it ended so suddenly...

I'm on the second book. They are really good if you're into fantasy. The funny thing is, the part I read in my dream (obviously no part of the real book) is very contradictory to the actual story.
Maybe my subconscious is guessing ahead for me.
Right now I'm reading No Warriors No Glory by Harold Coyle
It's a pretty cool book and gives me so many ideas of things to do with my sub

Time is indeed slower in dreams yes but it may not be to that exact scale as there's no possible way of knowing because time is impossible to record in a dream.

I know I have been dreaming alot tonight, but I only remember one dream. I was in my parents car going off-road, they said something like "It's gonna be a 7 hour trip" and my brother and I was like "Aw man" I was sitting in the car for a while but then the dream ended.
I've had more boring dreams before.

tried to lucid dream, opened my eyes, saw blackness, freaked out, sat up, turned on the light and realized im not dreaming, and now i cant sleep. also, everything feels really far away.
