Can we take on the form of a bee or a wasp in our dreams?
You can, but again, I'd suggest not trying to change your form in a dream. Bad stuff happens when you do that.
The problem with trying to change your body in your dreams is that your brain will be like "oh well okay, i guess i have a different muscular system now but i don't know how it feels to have a different one so let's fuck with mine until it kind of resembles it."
Which means if you went with, say, a chainsaw arm like that guy suggested, whenever you fired it it'd probably spin your arm around in your socket, which would most likely be uncomfortable.
Once you can do it, though, it's awesome. I tried turning into a wolf like a year ago, and it worked. Now I do it whenever I'm going on a rampage because it's cooler.
AFAIK it doesn't turn you into a furry, just don't start wolfsex orgies and you should be fine.

Quite funny how I got a dream including ME2. I was a Vanguard(latest run) and somewhere in battle. When I used Pull on the enemy something happened. I'd rather not mention it here as it's a odd fetish. I don't think it was lucid because I got interrupted with some cutscene and I couldn't go back. :saddowns:
Also Orkel we should talk about dreams, from time to time you post great tales in FA and I always wondered how you manage that. I'll try the WILD now, wish me luck.
Weird, it seems like I always lucid dream but never realised it was actually lucid dreaming, thought it was normal.

Did said enemy's breasts expand? :colbert: You sick weirdo.
Good luck!

Some people have always naturally done it. I envy those people. It's something like 0.5% of the earth's population can do it.
So...why would talking to your subconcious in general be scary? I mean, what if you need to sort some shit out and you're like 'what's going on crazy brain?' and it's just like ; __;
/ would like some relevant experiences from you lucid dreamers plox.
I've had a few lucid dreams, can't remember them that well. One involved lightsabers, the other involved hanging on to a spinng flying wheel of gloves flying above my town... And then my step dad falling off in his little car he drives for work and me stretching my arm to catch him. It was pretty fucked up :byodood:

It's not always scary. I just don't like it when I THINK that I believe something but I find out that I really don't. It's unsettling.

Could you elaborate or is it kinda personal? :/
Well, gonna have a nap and attempt my 3rd try at WILD.
Okay, sorry. To put this back on topic, I present the following.
The higher it is on the list, the better it is for dream recall.
I thought that chocolate would be up there somewhere.

Well, it's like. Let's pick a random example. For a long time, I was convinced I was against abortion because it was wrong and all that other stuff. Then it came up in a conversation and 'he' (subconscious) basically just said that I don't think it's bad because it's wrong, I think it's bad because that's how I was brought up and in reality I really don't have an opinion on it.
Unsettling.

Not really, actually. Chocolate's good for your heart, but I think it has B12, not B6.
I want to talk to my sub conscious, look in a mirror and ask what my biggest fear is now :C
In the mirror, wouldn't you see yourself as your sub conscious sees yourself?

Maybe.
Though it'd be nice for my mind to come up with a damned good reason why things are stuck in my head in the awake world.
But anyway, thanks for very interesting and useful thread, and for responses.
MILD sounds easier to do so I'll try that first. WILD sounds... well wild. Intentional SP sounds interesting but scary.

I wouldn't suggest that.
That's what I thought at first, but after trying it, I don't think that's how it works.

MILD's the best for new people, yeah.
Does playing music before trying to get a lucid dream affect it? Because I usually play music before going to bed.

It shouldn't, no. Try not to listen to it WHILE sleeping, but otherwise it's fine.
What is SP like, and what are the chances it will occur after waking up from a [lucid] dream?
(I dunno why but being paralyzed for a short time just freaks me out)
I had a dream last night. Unfortunately, it was one of the lame non-lucid ones, but it was interesting nonetheless.
Basically, I was flying across a desert-style town on the back of an elephant suspended in a cloud of bees. I remember leaning back in my seat, then someone told me "Don't do that, the bees don't like it".
Then, later, I was in a black, nondescript room. Some guy was there, and he handed me a Gamecube with a newspaper taped to it. He said it was a "content delivery platform".
I woke up and I was all "what the fuck"

It's usually pretty bad. I've never tried drugs, but I'd imagine it's like a bad acid trip. Your mind's still in dreamland and it's imagining all sorts of messed up stuff around you. And you can't move, so it feels like a nightmare. You just have to remember it's not real.
And the chances are varied. It almost never happens to me but it happens all the time for some people.

In that case, how long does it usually last, and whats the best way to get out of SP (if there is a way)?

Usually around 10 minutes unless you try and wiggle your toes.
All in the OP
Last night I tried lucid dreaming for the first time ever but I've had sleep paralysis happen to me two times in the past and it scared me so badly. I tried the WILD method. I laid straight on my back closed my eyes, starting tensing up my muscles then breathing out, said a few things to myself like I will lucid dream tonight, then I started to act is if I was walking down stairs and then I started to see a lot of dots flicker around so I tried not to focus on them then I started to see something blue appear. It was like a blue slit that came from a black wall start to open so I thought I must be getting to a lucid dream now so I focused on the blue slit and opened my eyes and I was so mad I messed it all up. I never did hear any loud buzzing except for my ears ringing. Can someone give me any tips for trying to lucid dream tonight with the WILD method?
I love sleeping.

Avatar is so fitting
I've only had one lucid dream in my life, and I spent my entire time lucid trying to wake myself up because it was a nightmare, basically I was on holiday but it was during a zombie apocalypse (I was nine at the time, and shit scared of zombies at the time.)
I even remember the logic I used "You wake up before you die, so I have got to get bitten." and then throwing myself at a zombie, the logic didn't work right away.
I may try your advice for a bit to try and achieve another lucid dream, figure I could have some more fun with it now.
Shit, just posted this on the other thread, to no avail.
I've tried to do that yesterday, but I fell asleep. I'm not giving up.
Though something different happened today. I was sleeping on the car, cause my stepfather had to drop by our house to pick something up. He parked near a ladder. I was sleeping following most of the advices that you guys gave me, but still, nothing happened, but it's fair enough since it was just a nap. But right when I've opened my eyes, there was this thing moving on the ladder. I then noticed it was a spider. A big and hairy one. I kept staring at it, moving VERY slowly on the wall, just to hide behind that ladder. I did nothing but watch it and I didn't take my eyes off that ladder. Then, I kept thinking about it and when my stepfather got out of the house I immediately yelled: "Look out for the spider behind that ladder!", he moved it, and nothing was there. Was my mind playing tricks on me?
Was I almost entering my dream when I did that?

Shit guys, I'm the page king what do I do what do I do
