Well, I tried it for the first time last night.
I never remember any of my dreams, so that's what I was working on.
Basically repeating "I will remember my dreams, I will remember my dreams" over and over in my head.
Now, the scary/interesting stuff. I'm not sure if it was because I was expecting something to happen, or if it was real, but after a while (I was slightly curled up in bed) I got this massive urge to stretch my leg out fully. I decided to ignore that urge and see what happened.
This wave of sort of... numbness I guess... rolled over my body, I could still feel things, but I couldn't feel my bed on my arms and leg... Kinda like I was floating or something.
The feeling was so weird that I did it four times, snapping myself out of it each time.
Also, on the second time I did it, I heard the sound of someone sneezing to the left of me. It wasn't real; pretty sure it was just a "auditory hallucination" or whatever.
After doing all that, I fell asleep, and woke up this morning having not remembered a single dream for that night.
Am I doing it right? Why can I still not remember stuff?
You're doing it right, but that sounds more like a WILD to me.
Dream Recall isn't something that just comes immediately, generally it takes weeks to develop. Just sleep normally but tell yourself beforehand that you'll remember them. That's usually enough, nothing else is really necessary.

Thanks for the quick reply :)
I'll keep at it, but maybe not running it through my head as a mantra.
I've also been getting into a habit of pushing my tongue against the back of my teeth as a reality check whenever something slightly out of the ordinary happens in reality (like I hear a siren in the distance; something falls over in my room ETC)
Maybe that'll help with the lucidity part of it :)

Put that in the OP, it's about different sleep cycles

I've seen that before. I highly recommend NOT changing your sleep cycle.
Well, I just had a go at WILD, failed. I didn't even fall asleep. Going to try again in a few minutes.
Here's what I am doing:
Relax, breath exorcises
Lay on my back, I find I can't do it on my side.
Count my breaths, 1-I am a wake etc.
Count steps down stairs in my imagination
Stop the counting, relax
Hopefully get the signs
I got a ringing in my right ear for a second, but disappeared because I got excited.
Also, when I got the ringing, my vision was still the same as any other time I close my eyes.
Can I just lay on my stomach(my fav. sleeping position) to get WILD or do I have to be on my side or on my back?
Saw a dream that me and my family were teleported into space inside a car. Air started leaking out so we were scared shitless. But then we dropped back into the atmosphere and were happy until we realized we had no parachutes.
splat
The dream was realistic enough to even take to account the speed of sound, a little before we hit the ground my point of view changed and I was somehow looking at our fall from a few hundred meters from the point of impact, and as the dot that was me hit the ground it took a second or two for the nasty impact sound to reach me.
So I think I had a Lucid dream last night. I was in my bedroom and I got up and went to put my clothes on. Then I noticed the clothes on the floor were the ones I was wearing and I thought I should try a reality check. I flipped the light switch and the lights didn't turn on. So I said to myself that this is a dream. Then I woke up. Was that a Lucid dream?
I have a idea. Lucid yourself and create a Symbiotic Parasite that gives you the power of a god. open a dimensional portal leading to your own dimension and fire it at the sleeping you. Post results :v:
So I was lying in bed last night listening to some necrophagist sitting totally still, bout 5 minutes later I realise I can't feel my toes, fingers or any of my joints, and its like I had been anaesthetised got freaked out when I could feel like a faint tingle at the base of my skull and moved around, happened over and then I just fell asleep.
Amidoinitrite? At least that part?
I was almost into SP just a minute ago when my fucking alarm played and my body fucking spasmed out. :argh: Yeah I could feel my body getting numb, almost like each limb was getting shut down.
Holy shit...
i've been trying this for the past week every night and i finally got my subconscious to talk to me
and i asked the question
holyshit...... i can go near or hear a washing machine ever again...
never again

You must be trolling
But on topic
I tried wild. i Failed (i fell asleep). But i heard some kind of 'static' noise and saw some dot's. And then i fell asleep. Does the static noise means i am close ?

If you have to ask whether you were close or not, then you weren't. The buzzing/whistling starts at the same time as the feeling of falling into your bed, spinning and floating (atleast for me). The sound is so loud and distinctive that you'll know when you hear the real one. The static you heard is likely just the normal static that everyone hears when in total silence.
That's called the "Uberman" pattern. It's two hours of sleep total, but if you can do it right, it's effective. But you have to stick to it perfectly. If you miss a nap by ten to fifteen minutes, you're screwed up for like two weeks. Not recommended.
Vitamin B6 increases Dream Recall. Not sure why, but it's been proven that it does.
At that point you kind of just have to will the dream into happening. Start to visualize stuff. Watch the imagery in front of your eyes and try to bring them into focus.
You were close. At that point you just have to do what I just said. Visualize the dream, etc. etc.
Wait...

I honestly hate waking to my alarm, it makes me wake up almost instantly and move to stop it, causing me to forget my dream :(!
I decided to try WILD this night, I was relaxing, taking deep breaths and counting "1 i am dreaming" etc for like 5 mins and when all i saw was black (from my eyes being closed) i got bored and said fuck it and went to sleep.
What did I do wrong ?
When you are in SP and you open your eyes and start blinking wont your body realise you are kinda awake and wake you up completely?

You got bored.
You got bored.
Five minutes is nothing. You should do it for as long as it takes for you to fall asleep, not say fuck it and stop trying.

Wow, I just noticed this part in the OP.
"Kinesthetic, vestibular, tactile hypnagogic hallucinations are typically vibrations, the feeling of being electrocuted (minus the pain), and a sense of extreme acceleration."
And that is exactly what it feels like when the buzzing sound starts and the WILD begins. It's what I always experience at the awake-sleep transitional stage. It's creepy how the description matches up so perfectly with my experiences.
I never even knew this was possible, guess it is...MY LIFE IS 30% COOLER NOW!:buddy: x9000000 THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH,OP!I'm probably not gonna get it done anytime soon, though.
(talking about lucid dreams)
I tried WILD. I was lying on my back when suddenly i get "electrocuted", shivers take all my body, my heart starts pounding and breathing got automated. Then my limbs felt numb and my eyes moved rapidly. I knew it was the WILD coming, but after this, the feeling dissapeared. How close i was?
I had a fucking WEIRD dream last night. I usually don't have those, but this was one of those weird dreams where I question my sanity and/or morals. Bleh.

Yeah. A lot of the time when you first realize you're dreaming, your brain is like DOES NOT COMPUTE WHAT THE HELL ABORT ABORT. Keep trying. Nice job.

Yeah. Next time don't move. And I still don't recommend music, but if it works, then great.

I would imagine the problem was probably that you got bored and said fuck it and went to sleep.

Close. You probably tried to focus your eyes or move or something. Just let it happen.
Oh this was a interest of mine back in the day, managed to become lucid once and then it just didn't work.
Figuring on trying this again.
Did said enemy's breasts expand? :colbert: You sick weirdo.
Good luck!
How di- Okay who told you that? :frown:
Also no luck last night, maybe the thought of today's exams got me worried(Did great btw). I'll fortunately have the next few days off so I can concentrate better on lucid dreaming.
Zinayzen, I'd advise you tell everyone that it isn't likely they'll even get this within their first week of trying, let alone month. Doesn't it take something like a few months to be able to actually hold on to a lucid dream for any meaningful period of time?

Yes.
I felt really calm while doing MILD, and had a good night sleep. I'm going to keep a journal and try to remember my dreams.
