Chat is dead now.
I'm in it
I had a rather unusual dream last night. It was strange in that I was completely aware that I was dreaming, but yet I could do nothing but control myself, contrary to other lucid dreams I have had. The dream starts in a small, dark hotel room. I realized I was dreaming then, and I tried to just teleport myself out of the room. It didn't work, so I tried something simple, like creating a lamp, and that didn't work either. Eventually, I just decided to explore the room. I first tried the door, which was locked, and that made me panic. So I fumbled around for the light switch, but it, of course, did nothing, so I went to the window, which was blocked off with curtains. It took a while to undo them, and when I did, light streamed into the room. I was on the second floor of the hotel and the town outside was a bit unusual. It was like an old part of town that seemed to go on forever because there were no buildings over three stories tall. Anyway, I opened the window and managed to climb outside onto this brick ledge. Suddenly, I noticed a guy run by, terrified. Then, from around the corner of the hotel, a man wearing some kind of small mech suit, sort of like the Cargoloader from Aliens, except with machine guns rather than grippers. He shoots at the man who is running away, but misses. Then he notices me, and for some reason, he isn't hostile, and he says something to me and we both laugh, but I can't remember why. So, he moves on and I climb down, and I start running down the street. I see a cafe and inside are people who look rather sickly. They all are wearing things that look like grey pajamas. There are propaganda posters on the wall that resemble ones from the Soviet Union, and then I leave because everyone is staring at me angrily. I continue down the street, and I see another mech guy and decide that it isn't good to stay around them, and I duck into an alleyway. Then I wake up. The reason this dream is unusual to me is that, even though I could control my own actions, it was like the world was out of my control. Almost like real life. Another reason it was strange was that It allowed me to solve problems, such as leaving the hotel room through the window, rather than providing me with unconquerable obstacles, as dreams usually do. Visually, however, the dream is like most other dreams I have. A lot of times they start in a small space which opens into a bigger one, and I have seen similar towns to this one before, as well. Any thoughts on this?
I know that I'm going to Lucid Dream tonight, I can feel it. The sensation. And even if I don't, even if I don't remember the dream, it won't stop me, but goddamnit, I'm gonna do this. "Thorough preparation makes it's own luck."
stop posting i need more time
So Bananas and peanut butter before bead helps dream recall?
I have RETURNED

Yes, I love that movie, and mostly thought of this thread during it.
This thread is moving at what, ten pages a day and exponentially increasing? Back around page 60 after lurking for about ten pages I tried to introduce myself, but now barely a week later the thread is twice as long and I've hardly had a chance to read any more....
I'm back. Still haven't WILDed.

Back around page 60 after lurking for about ten pages I tried to introduce myself, but now barely a week later the thread is twice as long and I've hardly had a chance to read any more....
Well you see, this thread is for people to share their dreams, for dream-experts to give advice to newbies like me, and for solidjake's otherworldly drama show that goes on inside his head.
I had a dream that President Obama was seriously wounded and on a stretcher in front of my house that I lived in 4 years ago. I think I shot him. :tinfoil:
Anyway, I've been trying desperately with WILD lately. The reality checks I was trying to do for almost a month only worked once, while I think I'm getting very close to achieving hypnagogia, which (while not positive) I'm pretty sure is what caused me to lucid dream once, a couple weeks ago.
Is it a good idea to go to sleep hungry, or full?
Well goodbye people, ill be gone for 2 days. Im going to the mountains, BUT IM BRINGING MY SLEEP JOURNAL!! Later all and happy dreaming.
Alright, so I've had this dream multiple times and it goes like this.
I am sitting in a room that has no features, just gray walls. All of a sudden I get a funny feeling in my stomach and I burst through the wall like the Kool-Aide guy. When I come out on the other side I'm outside my house dressed like Rambo. Everybody is on fire and naked but doesn't seem to notice. I shoot a guy with a bow and steal his convertible. I drive to Texas, have a thumb war with George W. Bush, and when I win he gives me a motorcycle. The motorcycle sprouts some wings and I fly to Washington, D.C. A giant ramp was sitting at the Lincoln Memorial. I went off of it at full speed, the engine red-lining. I do a quadruple backflip followed by a quintuple frontflip, then smash through the oval office window and run down Barrack Obama. I reach into his pocket and pull out a Twix bar. I finish eating it and say, "Now my life is complete." and my head implodes. I then wake up.
Can someone tell me what this means? I get no sense out of it, but when I wake up I feel really confident in myself.
It means you are either a fucking badass or completely insane.
