could someone give me some insight on what kind of hallucinations/sounds/feelings to expect?
I sometimes hear distant screaming but most of the time I hear incoherent whispering.
Is it weird when I think about the Stratosphere (The space needle mimic here in Vegas) being destroyed, even in my dreams I begin to shut down? I dunno, but I've been dreaming about some shit happening on the strip and the Stratosphere being destroyed. I mean I see it everyday but you know..
Some nice subliminal messages.
I used to have chronic nightmares as a kid, and I developed the ability to lucid dream because there was nothing else I could do. I wouldn't have complete control of the dream itself, but I became aware I was sleeping, could usually pause the dream (although in a particularly scary dream, the serial killer unpaused the dream), and even wake myself up at any moment. As I grew out of the nightmares, I forgot how to lucid dream, as I had no need for it anymore. Now after reading this thread, I really wanna learn how again.
I love it when you start remembering parts of your dreams throughout the day, when you wake up remembering nothing :D
First night of trying to lucid dream, it failed (as expected) but i will continue to try over the course of the next month until i get used to it and can do it freely. Also im hoping to muster up the courage to try sleep paralysis
Holy shit something different happened! As MILD was my favourite method to start with, I've managed to do a few tricks for me to stay awake. Counted up to 100, told myself I'm awake, I'm aware of it and I WILL stay awake. repeat. If I caught myself stopping at 60 thinking about other stuff, I would say the mantra again, then repeat. Then, I woke up. But there was something wrong, it was day already and the music that was setup on my cellphone for the alarm clock was different, even I thought: "Hey, that wasn't the song I wanted!", but I was okay with it. Then I went downstairs to pick up my clothes from the laundry, when I was faced with this shadow on the kitchen's curtain... Then I thought with myself "this is not possible, there must be an explanation for this!", immediately I turned my head to the street where I saw this neighbour walking around projecting said shadow on the curtain.* Then the dream kind of went too fast, but I DO remember browsing on FP, talking to a friend of mine, daily stuff, just like I was on a normal day, which is kind of weird, since all of them were about guns, games and my job. I then proceeded to wake up at 4:00am and my first thought was "HOLY SHIT" :v: then slept some more... *This is the end of the mostly "lucid" (if I can say so) part. So, what's this FP? I didn't know it was a dream, Maybe the alarm clock tricked me?, so that I thought the dream was an ordinary day? I was aware of it until that asterisk, even though I didn't know it was a dream.
I masturbated in a dream and shat my pants.

UPDATE!!! Last night I had a lucid dream! I vaguely remember being in my old homeroom class while the sun was coming through the windows. I immediately thought: "I don't go to school anymore and the sun is up while I'm sleeping. I'm in a dream!" Just then, it almost felt like waking up! It started to fade, so I spun and clapped my hands. I had complete control. It was amazing. Contrary to advice given here, I decided to have sex in my lucid dream. I walked up to one of the hottest girls at my school, Alyx, and asked her if she wanted to have sex. Due to the fact that it was MY dream, she agreed. I began to plow her in the missionary position, clapping my hands every once in a while, until I finished. So I walked to the other end of my classroom, where the school stoner was sitting quietly. I decided to chat with him, but he decided he wanted to pull a knife on me. I beat the shit out of him. I walked outside the classroom to an extended version of my home hallway. The only difference was that it was infinite and all the doors led to bathrooms. I saw my brother and sister on separate toilets and talked to them about my lucidity. I continued down the hall until I was in my old middle school gym. There, in the middle of the gym, was Lil' Wayne. I was star struck. I began talking to him about his jail time when he insisted that he could beat my ass. I said, "No, Lil' Wayne. This is my dream. I can cut you like a pig." So we ran at each other. I started doing some kung-fu shit I had never even done before when my Dad woke me up. Fucking best dream ever. The weird thing about it was that it was done through a reality check, not through the WILD method that I've been trying every night. It was great, guys. :D
I can pull off the sleep paralysis thing, but the whole hallucinations/lucid dream thing is a different story. :saddowns:

For the ones too lazy to look up for it:
You would have been close to lucidity, yes, if you had done a reality check. You should learn to do a reality check every single time you wake up at morning or at night to take advantage of such possible false awakenings.
Damid i always fall asleep
Has anyone here actually acheived a WILD when they first go to sleep? (instead of waking up, then going straight back to sleep and doing WILD)
OP apparently a 'Losing your teeth' dream indicates stress,
OP apparently a 'Losing your teeth' dream indicates stress,
I hate those dreams so much. I remember onetime my gums turned in to sand and my teeth spilled all over the table. I hate finals.
Damn it. I fell asleep when I was counting for C-WILD.
Damn it. I fell asleep when I was counting for C-WILD.
same. Fell asleep like 4 times already
I'll always go numb and then my heart will literally use anti-matter propulsion to rape itself out of my chest
Has anyone here actually acheived a WILD when they first go to sleep? (instead of waking up, then going straight back to sleep and doing WILD)
not me atleast It's much much harder that way, waking up at night after some sleep and then trying WILD will massively multiply your chances of success. Trying a WILD during a nap at daytime is somewhere between the middle of the two in difficulty
I'll always go numb and then my heart will literally use anti-matter propulsion to rape itself out of my chest
Same, it stops doing that though after a few more tries.
God damnit. I tried SP last night. I keep getting this small sensation in my upper head, but the scary thoughts of whatever the fuck would come in my room and slit my throat got to me, and i just rolled on my side and went to sleep. Well not anymore, when i go to sleep, when that fucker comes in, and i become lucid, that bitch is gonna get the shit beat out of him.
Has anyone here actually acheived a WILD when they first go to sleep? (instead of waking up, then going straight back to sleep and doing WILD)
That's the only way I ever do it.
Interesting article on the connections between dreams and video games Slashdot summary: http://games.slashdot.org/story/10/05/26/2050256/Video-Gamers-Have-Power-Over-Their-Dreams Full article: http://www.livescience.com/culture/video-games-control-dreams-100525.html
I got a whole shit load of my friends to try SP tonight as well as me! I will post results tomorrow
So I tried WILD earlier and my entire body went numb, eyes started spazzing out, loud buzzing, and I saw a white light. Then out of the blue, "A contractor is coming in 40 minutes!"

Zinayzen, just as that guy above stated, (Orkel, my bad) if I DO get used with RCS and if I suffer from a false awakening, does the dream become 100% lucid? EDIT: I mean, if I ever come to use them on a false awakening...
