Btw, In terms of improving dream recall, do you HAVE to write them down or is it enough just to lie in bed and recall as much as you can?
sorry if this has been posted b4 im too lazy to read through the 20 pages but look what i found in the news section

Why does my sub conscious look like Stephen Fry and sound like a Cockney?
I've been working on this for a few days now and my dream recall is getting better. It has felt like I haven't had a dream in ages, 2 days ago I remembered a snippet that didn't fit in what had happened during the day before. I have been trying to wild for the last 3 days but haven't been successful, I get the numbness and it fells like I'm drawing back into my head but when I start to see the colors I get too excited and can't get there. I am still practicing my reality checks to make them a habit. I still haven't had SP yet though.
So this morning I had a false awakening in my dream, I was in a tent in my backyard, but it was one from my past when we didn't have our pool. I was suddenly in a batman costume, like the fakeone in the second batman movie with hockey pads, and using a zipline to go across a gap between buildings to spy on someone. The buildings were made of plywood and cardboard though. I heard them talk, but don't remember what they said. I woke up when I went back into the tent in my dream.
I think it has to do with my wiki walk that ended up with badass normal and a quote from Batman vs Superman. "Theres nothing mere about that mortal" by the Joker.
The techniques for WILD are helping me get a much better night of sleep while I don't succeed in the mean time. I need a better saying for MILD though so it comes up in my dreams. Also what are some good RCs for when you are in the wilderness in a dream? I know the tongue against your teeth, holding your breath lasts forever, what else?

Mine looks like Agent Smith, so I have no idea.

Try walking through a tree or looking at your hands. That's my usual one, because they always look fucked up and it's easy to tell.

Hmm, i have been thinking about all this dream stuff. Now i remembered that had once kind of annoying dream. I saw some simple dream of getting to school and after a while i wake up and feel like: "Omg it was a dream i have to go to school AGAIN" then i do the stuff at morning and go to school, and then wake up again! Dreams like this are annoying and it feels really odd to realize you were thinking: "I just woke up" in a dream when you wake up.
After remembering these dreams and reading about lucid dreaming, i was wondering:
Is it possible to lucid dream in your lucid dream?
Got my first complete lucid dream since years, thanks for the SP and WILD tips.
I only started doing simple things such as creating objects, simple events and environmental.
Nest time i'll go for the complex/distracting stuff.
I RC my hand by changing the number of finger and it work PERFECTLY, I can believe you can be that lucid while dreaming.
I've been killing myself to get a lucid dream since i heard of it, but still didn't, any way to easily get one for a starter?
I've also tried WILD a few times but failed.

Let me say it like a programmer, being lucid is like a global variable. If you are lucid, your are lucid; you control if your in another dream if your good. If you are lucid you have awareness. If you have awareness your concious mind is active. You just need to do your reality checks in those false awakenings to make sure of it.
I have had those dreams befor and I agree they are annoying, I usually wake up from them mentally drained. The problem is that you remember doing it multiple times. I find false awakening to be hard to deal with though when they seem normal. The really bad ones are were your reality changes, like being another species when you wake up; I usually wake up because my brain doesn't like not being human.
I think I have a better one for my MILD attemps, what do you think?
If I am a sleep I am dreaming,
if I am dreaming I have awareness,
if I have awareness I am lucid.
If im aware im lucid.

Also, what language should i use?
English (global language), Finnish (the one i use where i live), Russian (my first language)?

Probably Russian, because your brain learned to think in Russian( just a theory I made up this minute I wrote this but it makes sense ).
PILD is working wonderfully but I KEEP GOING BACK TO SLEEP. :frown: I need to work on not going to sleep for C-WILD
I attempted PILD last night, drank 7 bottles of water, but I never woke up. I just had to pee really bad at like 8 am. :frown:

What is PILD and C-WILD? Probably something you talked of around pages 5-20 but i don't really want to read 15 pages even tho its quite interesting. And search doesn't work either. So?

Pee Induced Lucid dreaming. Its like wake back to bed.
You drink lots of water before going to bed and your body wakes you up in the night to piss. You get up during the night to piss, you do some mental exercises and then try to use WILD. Its much easier to WILD after you have slept, your body is tired but your mind is awake.
Interesting. What if i put a timer, say for 100 minutes?
That's pretty much WBTB (Wake Back To Bed), And I'd set it for at least a few hours into sleep, but then again, I'm no expert.
I tried MILD last night, and although I wasn't lucid (need to practice reality checks a bit more), I remembered my dreams, so that's a step in the right direction.

I would also like to add that it was my idea. :buddy:
Gah, i keep on falling asleep trying WILD, i've been doing it for about a week now
I remember the first time I played Far Cry 2, I couldn't believe how realistic it was. That night I lucid dreamed, and I remember just looking around and thinking, "Jesus fuckballs, this is realistic." I honestly couldn't tell if it was a dream or not.
Damn last night I tried the WILD technique but for some reason I scared myself shitless.
It was like my higher thoughts were looking down into the swirling pool of subconscious thoughts, but the HTs could never reach it.
Damn this is difficult. I've been try WILD the past few days and I can't seem to get close to being lucid. I have remembered most of my dreams (or rather remembered *a* dream most days), which is a step up I guess.
I've only ever tried the counting method so far, but I always find myself trailing off or getting caught up in another thought. I'm really not sure if they're thoughts or dreams because while they DO tend to be random or dream-esque, I don't actually SEE anything; there's just SOMETHING going on. I ended up getting up to 500 before I stopped (which took around 30/40 minutes) and decided to try the stairs method. What should I be imagining? I find it rather difficult to imagine myself walking down stairs... Or assuming counting seems to work best for me, any tips on staying concentrated? My biggest problem is either trailing off to another thought/whatever-you-want-to-call-it or having a REALLY irritating itch.
So I FINALLY just got Xbox Live. Fail, I know. But now I have it. And jesus christ, bad company 2 is awesome. I played one story mission, got bored, tried online, and played for six straight hours.
Add me, guiz. MrOlsonUCSD.
Holy god.
I seriously think that I had my first lucid dream.
First it was all real then the other half of the dream were a normal dream.
But anyways. I forgot the beginning of the dream but it was something like. I was in our house and my father was gaming bfbc2 while I had my old computer (which I got now) and my new one that I will buy in like 3-4 months. Well Both were on and then I walked to the nearest window, seeing a giant lightningcloud, then hearing it. I rushed to both computers, shutting the new one down first and ripping out its powercable, etc. Then when I went on my old one the powerbutton did not work when I tried holding it in five seconds, so then I went right on its powercable instead and then both were shut down. Father were still gaming bfbc2 even if the lightning were so overpowered and such. Unlike my father usualy is, he usually shuts it down extremely early when theres a first sign of lightning.
So he continued gaming untill the pc he got broke.
That is about everything that I remember from it. It was extremely real and I could feel everything like in real world.
So I am guessing it was some sort of lucid dream. Its just that I have forgot like A LOT of it and my brain is extremely warm and active right now when I type this.
Spelling and grammar misstakes may occur. I typed that really fast.
I tried CAN-WILD last night, aka wake up with an alarm that only goes 2-3 seconds so your body doesn't have to move. I got to the point where I woke up with my eyes closed, didn't move my body either. I told myself "Don't move, go back to sleep counting to 100." Sadly some neighbors hammer kept going harder and harder as it was already 10 am in the morning. Feel like punching that guy in the fucking face. :argh:

Same for me
