Last night I dreamt I was walking along a balance beam or the edge of a roof. All I remember is that it was high up, so falling would mean serious injury, or death.
Of course, I slipped and fell, but woke up as soon as I slipped. I immediately made a jerking motion as if I was stopping myself from falling.
Probably unrelated to the topic of dreaming, but:
After I fell asleep / woke up again that morning, I apparently had slept awkwardly on my arm, so it had cut off circulation. My arm was completely numb, and I proceeded to flail around hitting things, feeling nothing in my arm however, until I got feeling back. It was quite fun.
Edit:
I just made one of those peanut butter + banana toast slices, oh god that was delicious.

It's been one of my favorite snacks my entire life. And when I learned it helped with dreaming it was just an added bonus. :v:
my mom used to give me peanut butter banana toast when I couldn't sleep well.
...maybe she knows about lucid dreaming. :psyduck:
i had a dream last night where someone chainsawed off my legs but i glued them back together using maple syrup from a maple syrup truck that tipped over because the guy threw the chainsaw at it. i walked over an anthill and the ants ate my legs.
i woke up with sore legs :O
i usually can't move myleft pinky and the ... ... ... finger next to the pinky in the morning.
is that a weak sleep paralysis or something?
You know that ping pong ball thing, would that work with a blind fold or what?
You know that ping pong ball thing, would that work with a blind fold or what?
Blind folds are uncomfortable, so probably not.
That was strange, last night I had a dream and in the dream I was lucid dreaming. Do you think that means anything?
I'm curious how people do reality checks in dreams, Everytime I dream I struggle to keep my eyes open but I remember it all, whats wrong with me ?
Hey zin, you said this thread was gonna be changed 2 weeks ago........
Anyone ever had dreams about seeing planets in the sky?
That was strange, last night I had a dream and in the dream I was lucid dreaming. Do you think that means anything?
I'm confused as to how this could mean other things than lucid dreaming. Seems straightforward the way you wrote it.

I'm lazy. And it's finals week.
Anyone ever had dreams about seeing planets in the sky?
Yeah. Next time you go lucid, try looking at the sky. it's like an orgasm in your brain.
This needs a sub-forum.
Also I had 4 lucids already,
nothing spectacular though...

The only reason I could really see this having a subforum for is to make this topic a sticky and for people to ask questions, but a megathread answers questions fairly well.
Anyone ever had dreams about seeing planets in the sky?
Every time I look at the sky in a lucid dream. There's also galaxies, nebulae, all kinds of space shit just floating there and looking, like Zinayzen put it, like a brain orgasm.
I'm confused as to how this could mean other things than lucid dreaming. Seems straightforward the way you wrote it.
In the dream I had, I was having a dream and in the dream that I was dreaming I was lucid dreaming.
Damn. I always try the tongue trick, and i remember that i was unsure if i dreamed or not, it felt like a dream, but my tongue didn't go through my teeth so i though it wasn't and drifted off. :/

That made me remember one of my dreams about end of the world. That dream was quite odd. It started like normal day, but at some point i saw meteors falling from the sky. And run back to our house, then there was some kind of maniac who wanted to kill everyone too. I clearly remember how it looked like when big meteor hit the earth. But i wasn't scared of that for some reason, only from the maniac who i ran away from.
Ive been trying to get a lucid dream lately or a month and half. Sadly i havent succeeded yet for that. Those meteors ur talking about i know what you mean. But i saw meteors falling from the sky to but this was not a dream and i was hallucinating this in infront of my window in my own house. It was beautiful and horrifying at the same time. But i was in a pretty bad shape(4 days no sleep and sad to say on alot of drugs). Eneugh of that every week ever since that happening i have this dream about the end of the world thought it isent the same each time thought i just want to get rid of it. Its awful. And i thought if i get into the lucid dreaming i might find a way to make my own dreams and get rid of it...
When I wake up after a 9-hour sleep, my head hurts like fuck and I feel like I'm drunk and high, saying weird shit all the time and can't even think and focus. I don't know if I have insomnia but I 'lag' all the time. -_____-
I posted here so I thought you guys could give me some advice or something.
Another problem: I don't remember my dreams.

Have you started a dream journal? It helps with remembering dreams. I have one and I have been having more dreams as well.

Don't sleep for 9 hours. Or you're dehydrated, that's pretty much how my head feels when I'm hungover. Drink more water and sleep like 8 hours.
And lagging sounds like drunk, that's what I do too.
Dream journal.
Go outside you fucking nerds
[editline]12:14AM[/editline]
I had a fantastic dream, it was a wet one if i recall, this makes my post relevant now? do i win cake?
I once dreamed being a dragon, and fucking some hot elfs with my massive cock.
My scrotch was sticky when I woke up
Must have been magic

If you took the time to tell us to go outside because we're nerds, you're worse off than we are. Calling people nerds on a video game based forum is like being fat and telling fat people to stop being so fat. You're insecure about how nerdy you are so you try to tell other people they're nerds to lie to yourself. You're ugly, and you advertise your need for the parental love you never got as a child through your godawful grammar.
Go away.
I've had a question that's been bugging me for a while.
In lucid dreams you can insert yourself into TV shows. Would the writing and acting be on par with the original program? Or does it just depend on how well you are imaginatively?
I had a semi-lucid dream this morning. I woke up at around 5 and kept lapsing in and out of sleep. First I was trying to make a few people I knew appear (they didn't), but then I started flying. And, by God, everything around me looked amazing and the flying was the coolest fucking feeling in the world.

Since dreams stem from your own subconscious, it depends entirely on the person.
In my personal experience, videogames, TV shows, and even music tends to be pretty different in my dreams than it is in the real world. In one case, I dreamed I was playing an arcade cabinet version of GTAIV, and Niko would fly MUCH further than he should have whenever he was hit by something. Also, the city looked like a level from a Tony Hawk game scaled up to Liberty City size. Like, rails and ramps everywhere.
I had a strange dream this night. It was like, I was dreaming about dreaming about that I had just went to bed, and then there was some strange evil puppet hanging from my roof near my bed, throwing fists at me. I decided 'if I cant see it, it cant see me', and pulled my pillow over my head, then I woke up, shit happened, and I think I ended up in some sewers filled with cockroaches.
I dont really remember much else than that. Oh wait, I remember the inside of a REALLY big wooden house tho...
Also, by now I have a big bump on the side of my head. It feels like it's gonna become a horn or something, but I think I'd prefer it's just an infection, so I'll disinfect it by the time I'm home from work and all.
I tried a WILD again last night and about 15-20 minutes in when my body was numb and i had that rising/floating sensation, I started hearing bees buzzing in my left ear. I freaked out a bit and my heart started pumping faster and the buzzing went away. A minute later the same thing happens, it sounds like there's a bee buzzing right next to my left ear.
It went away again. Then 5 minutes later my body began to feel stranger and I started hearing a highpitched sound, like the kind you hear when a bomb or grenade goes off near your ears. I was too freaked out and thought "fuck this" and rolled onto my side. For the rest of the night I kept waking up in 30 minute intervals. I wasn't sick or needed to pee or anything, i just kept waking up randomly and each time i'd have a different dream when I went back to sleep.
Should I have kept going when I heard the buzzing? is that supposed to happen or was there actually a bee chilling near my left ear? I always get scared that i'll imagine something fucked up and it'll appear right in my face, so I always end up saying "fuck it" and rolling onto my side.
Looks like I play too much S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
-I used the counting technique, works well for me.
It was a ruined house, like the ones you see in rural small towns, it was particularly dark, the floor was covered in hay. There were laying dead, peasant bodies everywhere, the place was populated by my "army comrades", they were wearing dark military uniforms, with urban camo, black and white, ya know if you played STALKER...the monlith suit,

Stupid me wanted to try out a SCAR (the SCAR gun being dark and had a nice holographic visor) so I shoot one of the dead bodies, it rag dolled off the window...out of sudden from all the rooms came a shitloads of dead zombiish people that tryed to kill me.
I crouched in a corner and began shooting the fuck out of them, after few seconds I threw and incendiary grenade in the middle of the room
and tried to jump out the fucked up door, that was higher than the floor and very low, like a hole in the wall.
Then mom woke me up to go at school. :C
It was disturbingly awesome.
I can't seem to get lucid. In the day I push my tongue against my teeth, look at my hands, and pinch my arm. I do this several times through the day. I have been trying to get lucid for 3 days now.

That's nothing, literally. Tell me that when you've been trying for at least a month.
Also pinching is a bad reality check, don't do it.
