Anybody have tips for inducing a WILD? I was doing the stair thing, and the first night I tried it nearly worked. Every night after has failed, though. I was counting up the stairs, but eventually I'd just drift to sleep. I tried switching the direction and going downstairs, but it didn't work either. Maybe I'm visualizing it wrong, maybe simply visualizing it is wrong. It may also have something to do with my ticking clock that I started counting stairs with usually. Who knows, but any tips to avoid it or any other methods of focus?
Ah thanks, I'll try again tonight then and relax.
You might also feel chills throughout your body, and vibrations like getting electrocuted but without the pain. And a sense of vertigo, spinning or floating. And voices+sounds along with the buzzing. But try to stay relaxed and calm, it's hard but you'll get used to it.
Good luck. And it's easier if you've gotten some sleep first, my two WILDs last night happened 1-2 hours before I woke up today.
Last night I dreamt I met Topher Grace and he was a total faggot.
I still fell shitty about one dream I had... About two - three years ago I had an incident where I dreamed a car accident happening to my friend, and someone close to him died. I never told him anything figuring he would call me stir crazy. Two weeks later the incident happened... His seven year old brother went flying through the wind shield.
To this day I feel as if I'm responsible for not trying to help prevent it from happening cause I had some background knowledge of what lead up to the accident, and basically could name it from detail to detail.
This is truly not a one, and only occurrence. I generally have these dreams, and the events come to reality about two weeks after I dream them, and I just never tell anyone fearing I'll be called crazy or ridiculed as a satanist.
I sometimes have dreams of long forgotten people or places I've met/been to as a child. It's like a rush of memories buried deep in the back of my mind, and if I'm lucky, I can remember them with distinction when I wake up.
Hope it doesn't stop. My childhood was epic.
For people who dosen't know what happens when you eat in a dream , i tryed it this night and well i wanted a hamburger , ate it , and it has the taste of a hamburger , but not excatly , the taste is a bit weirder.
I had one last night where I had slit a woman's throat and then left her to bleed to death. She tried to stand up, but I stomped on her face. I had literally jump-stomped on her, and her head collapsed like a watermelon.
She was trying to kill me, so I'm not a bad person.
Should I keep my eyes open in SP/ WILD
no
I've had 3 lucid dream, but they were only for the last few secounds before i woke up. The first one (I dont remeber the order), i was in some sort of cave and it was sorta like a hallway with lava in the bottom, and i think i was fighting bowser then (this is where the lucid started) bowser fleed and i started jumping around with a spider-web back and forth, damn that WAS fun. The second one was in my backyard, and i was running with some friends after me, it was fun, then i thought "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if i were a pigeon" and i became one and started flying for a few secs, then i fell and tried to fly again and again and again but i wouldn't take off, then i woke up. The third one was me being an secret agent, and they handed us rapelling hooks and shit, and i shot one on the roof, and i woke up thinking "i wanna go back :("
But im gonna start with MILD tonight, but whats some easy things to start imagine (if im even lucky enough to become lucid)?
I just have a question. People say you can see scary stuff in the room while in SP. So why not just close your eyes?
Your eyes are already closed because you're asleep.
I mean when you make wake up still in SP. Sorry if I was unclear.
Keep your eyes closed in SP if you don't want to see the most surreal nightmares you've ever had.

This. Only open your eyes after you've gone through the awake to dream transition phase, at which point they'll be your dream eyes anyways and your real ones will stay closed as you're dreaming.

I read that bananas and milk can help lucid dreaming so I just ate two bananas and a large mug of milk. Will report tomorrow if anything happens.
This was a very interesting and useful thread, makes me want lucid dreams. :/
I had a dream where a fucking lion was attacking my school.
i've noticed in the mornings if i keep my eyes closed i can remember a dream i'm having and even control it, but if i open my eyes for just a second i'll lose the dream completely
I had a bizarre dream last night. It started as what seemed to be a STALKER multiplayer match. It was me on one team, versus what appeared to be the other 31 players on the other team. I had a silenced and scoped AK-74, and was pretty much destroying them. Then I ran out of ammo. I pulled out my pistol and charged at them, taking down two and continuing into a tunnel with one health.
At this point, my view switches to Fallout 3-style shoulder-cam and an announcer-type voice starts telling me about the "highway war." Then it switches from looking like a game to real life, and I'm running around on the highway trying to help other people like me. Everyone was talking about STALKER.
Thing is, I was completely aware that it was a dream, but I was not in control. Nor did it seem vivid; more like it was viewed through my mind's eye.
Orkel is dead
I had a scary dream last night.
Me and a friend were walking down a street, when suddenly this old man walked up to us. He said something like "Do you like my cat?". We looked at it and it was extremely lifeless. A police car pulled over next to use, and the policeofficer asked if everything was alright. The old man walked away, and so did we. Later on, we walked through a forest. It was late at night, as well as raining heavily. We heard someone walking behind us, and it turned out to be the old man. He was holding a needle. I assumed he was going to inject us with some sort of poison, like he had done with his cat. We started running, and so did he. My friend suddenly tripped and started screaming. I was to terrified and kept on running. And then I woke up.
I remember having a successful WILD last night...but I can't remember if it was a dream. Also I remember having a lucid, but I dont remember anything about it.
I was really stoned last night but I usually don't forget my dreams. Kinda frustrating.
I think I'll wait to try lucid dreaming until a bunch of friends are over, so they can wake me up if I look in a mirror. It sounds like a ton of fun, if done correctly.
I dreamed my foreskin regrew and ate people.

no :saddowns:
had some strange dreams last night, truly so. I should have written them here earlier, but now it's already past midnight and it's been like 12 hours since I woke up so I don't remember them anymore.

ahahahahawhat
Yesterday I woke up and it felt like thousands of ants were biting me simultaneously.
2 weeks ago it felt like there was an animal ripping my sides.
I gave OP the 101st informative.
When I was a kid I used to have lucid dreams about star wars. I didn't know what lucid dreams were, so I felt like I had secret powers. The dreams felt so real, I would wake up stare at my toys thinking I could lift them with Force powers.
I had two dreams last night, back to back. Both were bizarre. I've started to do this thing where I go lucid, pick a setting, and then lose lucidity so I can just watch what my fucked up brain does.
1st: I had a dream that my girlfriend's parents were treasure hunters and they had this awesome house next to like a racetrack, except the racetrack was inside a volcano. Allow me to repeat. Treasurehunters-in-law have an awesome house inside a volcano racetrack.
Anyway, I stay in it for a while because I wanted to watch a race. Well, I'm running around inside the house (which magically got HUGE), and I find this skull in the basement after I crawl through a secret passage. I confront them about it and they tell me that they have no idea what the skull is. I decide to ignore it and watch a giant race inside the volcano.
2nd: (will write later, but was awesome)
when i dream, i most usually don't really experience like as though it was real life/close to real life. in fact they're mostly impressions, ideas, for example a few nights back i had a dream where i had no idea what was going on (i know that i didn't because i tried to remember it when i woke up - i was even aware of it (not lucid) while dreaming but i had no idea what was going on), the only thing that i DO remember from that idea is the idea and word HOSPITAL. somehow it was in a hospital or some shit like that
another thing about my dreams is that, as i said, they're not very real or close, but rather, i see them as though through my mind's eye - often that's where the pictures and impressions come from
then last night i had a dream, when i woke up and tried to remember any, i couldn't. i walked into my bathroom and realized that in my dream my mum had been back (she's overseas atm, coming back in a while) - there was something about her coming back that very day/the next day. i remember that being pretty real and all, but it still seems extremely fuzzy and hazy, i could barely "watch" it while i was dreaming
so is this maybe because i have barely any dream recall? i am trying to build that up atm
also - when you have a wild, do you actually go through the non-REM stages? or just straight through to REM? or what? :S
