I find sleeping much more entertaining and fun than life. [sp]Shit, i really need to get a life[/sp]
Goddamn it, I can never wake up to use C-WILD or WILD.
This morning i felt like trying MILD, so i were lying there chanting "When i dream, i will realize im dreaming. Am i dreaming?" (In norwegian) and i did this for a while, and i started to feel numb in my whole body, so i slowly sat up afraid of being paralized :( And i will assume that i were close and the leader of this thread is like :milk:
I noticed a lot of times when I'm in my bed about to sleep, my mind gradually starts thinking of weirder theories and images that make no sense, the closer I am to sleep. Then I suddenly snap out of it and say to myself, "holy fuck that made absolutely no sense at all why was i thinking that". it's a huge mindfuck. anyone else get this?
So I had a so-so, long dream about my school this morning, which was a normal day but was the last day. I was forced to sit in one place near the end by the administrators coming into the room and forcing us to be orderly (Which was stupid by the way), and then somehow I just got home. This was one of those logical fallacies I accepted at first, and then denied. I was thinking I had to get my stuff and start running for all my friends at school so I could say 'bye' to them on the last day. I got out the back door and then checked the time on my phone, realizing I was already home and school was already out with no transition or travel. I get back inside and realize at my door are four of my friends, and I sort of.... I don't know, it's like there was a subliminal HUD that was present in my mind, and it recognized all of them. They were all, however, just silhouettes and such. I recognized this as something to fear, and walked deeper into my house in fear of a nightmare. I then start walking back to check my blinds when I go "Wait a fucking minute, this is impossible and I recognize that as a nightmare occurrence." At this point I did a reality check with my hand, which.... I was confused. It didn't seem to "work" like I thought it did from descriptions I've read, but the dream did get clearer, so I assume that it worked. At this point I ran to the side door of my house leading to the pool and began to start reading the labels on the chemicals and boxes stacked aside it by my own accord, as to stabilize my dream. I was getting clear reading; it was the typical warnings and such, but it was there and I could read it. I got to a strange one about age groups that broke down to equations, including complex fractions and ratio division. After I finished reading it I backed up a bit, and I thought of what was at my front door. The full color of the dream drained away as I felt jerked out of my body and the dream ended there as I vaguely visualized what was waiting for me. I'm trying to figure out what happened, but so far I have a few ideas. For one, it came pretty late in the dream, and I may have just hit the end of my REM sleep cycle. At this point it was also morning, in a time when I was just trying to go back to sleep instead of getting up. It's also possible this could be one of those sick jokes I always think my subconscious is playing on me to trick me into thinking I went lucid. I may also have destabilized the dream by thinking of things away from me. So yeah, all that. Any input?
Keep falling asleep! trying c-wild / wild
Can anyone tell me what this means? I guess this is the best place to put it. Ok, so I dreamed that me and my friends were doing free-running on our schools roofs (as we have done before in RL). But then, I saw my friend get onto this really narrow beam. Before anything else happens my mother comes over and starts yelling at me what the fuck am I doing. I look around and my friends have abandoned me. At the moment i am struggling to remember anything else....
GODDAMNIT. Ok, so today I had a dream that I had last night, and I didn't realize it until I came in contact with some of the characters. I then called out that I was having a dream inside the dream, and the characters laughed at me and I had thought I wasn't dreaming and I had gone insane. I tried, now that I knew I was lucid to move something simple, like a clock off a wall to prove to the people in my dream that it was a dream, but it wouldn't budge! I then woke up to the people in the dream laughing at me. :saddowns:
Time to meet my own characters in dreams.
I wish I had Zin's lucid dreaming skills, this is so hard to learn.
Okay i looked through the OP but i didn't see anything about this Basically sometime when i'm asleep i can hear everything around me in real life but people in my dreams appear to be making the noise like my mother might be attempting to wake me up by shouting my name.. but my second in command is actually tring to keep me from being knocked out by the small meteor that slipped through my ships defenses then i realise that it must be a dream but get woken by my darn mother I've never actually had a successful lucid dream but after finding this thread + finding out whats possible i'm going to train to have one. PAGE KING! [editline]06:54PM[/editline] Also speaking of dreaming things before they happen i normally dream about places i've never seen or been before then anywhere from a few weeks to months later i go out and end up in the place i had dreamed about... [editline]07:04PM[/editline] And i feel my comment should have humour so basically the funniest dream i have ever had was set in a kinda zombie horror scene but i was in my house with my family and the zombies had managed to climb through the gardens and broke through the window in the back of my house. So me and my brother ran outside and he was being all wheezy and slow and he wanted me to slow down with him.. so instead of that i decided that the zombie outbreak was catching up to us and so i did the smart thing and pushed him, right into the road so all the zombies were busy eating him while i broke into a car and drove off I'm a good person :buzz:
My question about making stuff appear was answered earlier; you just "know" that you have something, and you will. But does it work the same way for changing environments and people? Just "know" that you will be on Mars, and you will be? Also, is there any special way to wake yourself from a lucid dream?
Last night I almost had a lucid dream after realizing I was in a dream. I saw a costal town and suddenly I woke up. :argh:
Just a question, as i am worried about trying SP with my eyes open.... Can you close them after you have entered SP amd get rid of whatever you were seeing by doing that?
I don't know if I lucid dreamed or not, but I do remember a dream where I knew it was a dream. I woke up after lying unconscious on a bench. I remember thinking "Am I dreaming?" I then saw someone fall off of a speedng monster truck, break their neck, then get up perfectly fine. I then thought, "Yep, this is definitely a dream." After that it gets fuzzy, but I do remember someone saying that if I did something mundane (I think it was put a beach ball in a chair :v:) I would wake up. I did, and I woke up. Was really weird. Did I lucid dream, or something else?

I don't often dream lucid. My brother, strangely enough, dreams lucid 1/3 dreams he can remember. This is mostly once a week. He doesn't like it though, he has dreamt anything he can think of. My question to you: come up with some things for him to do. (please don't mention obvious things, he has done everything obvious already, and lots of less obvious stuff.)

Saw a good dream last night. I was at a school gym hall. Suddenly, I saw my old classmates and friends whom I haven't seen in 5 years as they moved out of town. We all hug and laugh, and they say encouraging stuff like "hang in there" and "you can do it" and stuff like that, then I wake up incredibly happy. There was absolutely nothing bad that happened in that dream, only pure good emotions and feelings.

Last night I had a dream that my university turned into a giant parkour course. And my grandma was like the lead instructor. It was very odd, especially when she backflipped out of a building and landed perfectly on top of a flagpole.
Thank you zinayzen, on behalf of me and my brother. I'll make an account on the forum, and maybe my brother will too, but he doesn't really like forums, so I'm not sure. I'll add you as referrer, and my brother will too, if he wants to register. Thanks alot!

Unless he wants to post, which I would recommend, it's an amazing site.
I woke up this morning but was still tired enough to doze back off. So I sort of forced myself into sleep, went into sleep paralysis, heard the typical things I hear (voices and chaos), felt the buzz and then my mind cleared and I focused very hard. Suddenly I was in a dream. I think I only had partial control though. I could make liquids boil and freeze and sometimes change the location. I tried summoning people but it didn't work. I summoned my subconscious but it turned out oddly, my subconscious to me appeared as several different people all with strikingly different personalities. Later in the dream I lost lucidity and had a false wake up so I just went with it. Is this normal for your first lucid dream?

It's hard to do and generally makes you wake up if you're not good at LDing.

I've heard spinning and shouting "increase lucidity" can keep you in control of the dream. Also, when you try to summon something, do you have to say it or simply imagine it?

I have mixed feelings about it myself, because it's hard to remove the vocal pairing later on (for example, the first time I tried to fly I paired it with a vocal command. Took me almost three months to do it without the command.) So that's your call.
Also, last night I got into sleep paralysis really easily. I had not slept at all the night before, so at the point of trying to get into SP I had been awake for around 38 hours. After a while of lying in my bed, I heard a pop in my ears and it felt like my body was suddenly much heavier than before. Breathing was harder because of the strong weight-like feeling on my chest. Tingly all over, couldn't move my hands. Heard whispers in my room. But then I moved my lip by accident and snapped out of it. Then I fell asleep :<
After reading "the Rake" stories from that urban legend thread, I had some trouble going to sleep last night. But when I was getting close, and I was really fucking tired, I closed my eyes for a few seconds. I was really anxious and my heart was racing, and it was just a slideshow of faint images of creepy imaginary characters. Needless to say I nearly shat myself.
when i dream, i most usually don't really experience like as though it was real life/close to real life. in fact they're mostly impressions, ideas, for example a few nights back i had a dream where i had no idea what was going on (i know that i didn't because i tried to remember it when i woke up - i was even aware of it (not lucid) while dreaming but i had no idea what was going on), the only thing that i DO remember from that idea is the idea and word HOSPITAL. somehow it was in a hospital or some shit like that another thing about my dreams is that, as i said, they're not very real or close, but rather, i see them as though through my mind's eye - often that's where the pictures and impressions come from then last night i had a dream, when i woke up and tried to remember any, i couldn't. i walked into my bathroom and realized that in my dream my mum had been back (she's overseas atm, coming back in a while) - there was something about her coming back that very day/the next day. i remember that being pretty real and all, but it still seems extremely fuzzy and hazy, i could barely "watch" it while i was dreaming so is this maybe because i have barely any dream recall? i am trying to build that up atm also - when you have a wild, do you actually go through the non-REM stages? or just straight through to REM? or what? :S
just to add onto this (and repost it >_>), tonight i think i woke up and i think that i had a dream then, but i couldn't remember shit about it. then i'm eating breakfast this morning and i suddenly remember - i did have a dream. and, like the one with my mum in it, and i remember that that one also seemed pretty vivid. but unlike that one with my mum, i actually saw this one being vivid (i remember parts of it) and then with the one from my mum i only remember it being vivid make any sense?
just to add onto this (and repost it >_>), tonight i think i woke up and i think that i had a dream then, but i couldn't remember shit about it. then i'm eating breakfast this morning and i suddenly remember - i did have a dream. and, like the one with my mum in it, and i remember that that one also seemed pretty vivid. but unlike that one with my mum, i actually saw this one being vivid (i remember parts of it) and then with the one from my mum i only remember it being vivid make any sense?
Yeah, bad recall. Work it up and it'll get better. A lot of the time I remember dreams when I'm eating breakfast (hell, sometimes I remember them at dinner), but I used to remember them immediately. Just work on it. When you WILD, you go through the sleep stages, but you go through them quickly and you're still awake when you go through most of them so it's not a big deal. Usually sleep goes like this: Stage: 1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, REM... You pass through 3 is where hypnagogic imagery starts to happen, 4 is where auditory starts to happen, 3 the second time goes really quickly, and 2 is where you enter the dream. The tail end of the second 2 stage is when you gain lucidity, giving you full control through your REM cycle.
