Zinayen, is it weird that I almost always lucidly dream without actually doing any techniques for it?
Argh, I just tried WILD. I tried to lay perfectly still and listen to King Crimson. The KC was mostly because the music's complex nature should have distracted me from the urge to move or twitch. In the end I wasn't relaxed enough and ended up involuntarily jerking around right on the verge of my body falling asleep. Oh well, WILD takes practice I guess.
Wait. In the dream? Did she like really die?
No she just layed there dead in her dream.....really weird

Nah. You're probably what we call a 'natural', meaning you pretty much just do it.
I'm more or less the same way, actually. I don't always LD but when I do it's pretty much effortless.
Always when i sleep on my back i wake up from a nightmare and my head hurts like hell and i feel like my head is turning around like a rollercaster round and round, i put my head on the pillow face down but it still goes on for 30 seconds after that i feel like throwing up and even greater headache but i never throw up even when i eat something.
After i read this thread i got a luicd afterwards. I tried talking to my sub-concious and it was scary as all hell. And about the greatest fear... I just thought about asking it what my biggest fear is and everything started to dim and fade.. luckily i yelled it to stop.
Yeah. I have a tendency to just randomly think of things, which is bad. I tought my sub to only react to verbal commands, otherwise we'd never get anywhere.
I've been wanting to do a WILD, and i allmost did accidently, i could hear buzzing in my ears and i was accutely aware that my arms/legs were heavy and i couldn't move them
Problem is, Sleep paralasis scares the living hell out of me, i often wake up seeing things coming at me (spiders/hands etc) in the middle of the night.
But i really want to talk to my sub concious :(
What does it mean if you have a recurring dream and during that dream everything is rotating, including me. Difficult to explain.
Ok I've had a recurring dream for a few years now, happens everyone in awhile. It involves me and friends running from 'Him' and during the dream we are running towards a house, all the while the area is filling with fire. Once we reach the house it turn changes instantly to a wasteland completely destroyed by the fire. Usually at this point the entire dream starts spinning. I am not talking object I'm talking the dream, just in my head it is as though my mind is rotating. Everytime I have this dream I am absolutely terrified during it.
For some reason the closer i am to lucid the scarier my dreams are getting. I saw a dream while ago that i was in my room, but light was literally being removed. Everything started to blacken. I tried to toggle switch but it only made worse, i was so scared as everything went so confusing, i couldn't see anything and it felt as if all senses were drawn with the light gone. I was so freaked by this, and it was difficult to wake up. Woke up in the middle of a night sweating. :(
I think i had a lucid dream where i was having a lucid dream...
I had a odd dream last night about walking in front of a train. I got hit but I did not wake up, instead I spawned by the train tracks again.
I just had my first WILD :D
I remember feeling a strong falling feeling that made me slide off my bed. I opened my eyes and, still remembering the falling, I knew something was wrong. I pinched my nose and breathed, and I could still breathe!
I got up, looked at the sun coming in the window, then something made me look over to the other side of my bed. There was another me standing there looking at me, and I said 'Subconscious?' and I can't remember if he nodded or said yes (think it's the latter), but he acknowledged it.
So with a big grin on my face I shook his hand and hugged him (I have no idea why, I was just really happy right then). We talked fairly briefly but I cannot remember any of it. Eventually I left my room and explored the rest of my house. I saw people standing outside of the door, and somebody sleeping on my couch. Suddenly I got the thought 'let's smoke a joint!', and I felt a joint in my hand, already lit, and I hit a few times and turned on the TV. I don't remember anything on there, but I walked away soon afterwards and went outside. I remembered how I played assassin's creed a lot and starting climbing up my house. While I was climbing I thought 'wait, this makes no sense. how am I doing this'? My grip slipped but then I grabbed back on to another ledge, just like in the game.
During this whole time I had many many different thoughts occur to me, there was just so much. They all raced through me as I quickly had another thought.
When I got to the top of my house I remember looking around at everything. It was all blissful. Colors seemed vibrant and the sun was bright.
At this point, I kind of lost control and I remember being in different places for no reason. One was suddenly at my work place and my friends were there, one was at this city that had a purple glow to it, and another on some dirt trail in the woods. I remember the last one of the best. I was walking on the side of the trail, at night, when I saw headlights in the distance. I dove behind a tree and laid perfectly still on the ground. The headlights zoomed closer, and stopped right next to me. It was actually two vehicles, a futuristic motorbike with some guy dressed in all black, his face hidden behind a helmet, and a big, batman-esque car behind it with floodlights on the top. I remember trying to steal the bike, but then something happened and all of a sudden I was running down the trail again and I had arrived at the purple city.
Overall I loved this, it was very special. The dream was incredibly vivid and I was incredibly happy throughout the whole time, except for the parts I lost lucidity. I'm definitely doing it again and I recommend everyone that's trying to WILD to not give up. It's so worth it in the end. This might have seemed short but I just forgot 99% of it. If I remembered all of it, I'm sure I could have written a dozen paragraphs on it.
can you dream about initiating a lucid dream? because this morning i either did that or i had a false a awakening and initiated one by prodding my finger through my hand, it made all these weird ripples too, and then got so excited i woke up - i had this big buzzing in my ears too
Hey guys, I'm going to bother you for a bit of help.
Whenever I try to WILD, I start getting the colors and such, but then I stop breathing without thinking, then I start breathing manually and lose it.
Anyway to fix this? I've never had problems with not breathing during sleep or anything, so I don't know where this is coming from.
I have had lucid's before, pretty fun stuff. but i do have some questions. While dreaming i often get into fights, not that this is the problem. Often i am limited by motions As i move While i am asleep and collide with real world objects, and not continue being able to make my attack. I.E. I attempt to make a punch, but before hitting my target, my hand collides with a wall in real life. How can i stop this?
I also have never known it was possible to summon my subconscious mind. I may just have to try it to find out who I really am. I might ask it what my greatest fear is. You shouldnt have said not to. CURIOSITY MAKES PEOPLE UNABLE TO SLEEP.
Well, due to all the movement around and me having just finished school (and now I'm preparing to move over), I have stopped trying at least until I moved in, where things will settle down.
But to those who actually have achieved lucid dreaming, I have an idea: anyone has tried yet to ask it's subconscious to reveal details which you did not notice during waking?

No matter what motions you make in your dreams, they won't affect those in real life. Your brain paralyzes your body for this exact reason.
I want to try this again. Last time I tried, I was laying on my back and closed my eyes and tried to concentrate. 5 minutes in I began shaking uncontrollably, resulting in me freaking out and waking up. My main concern is that I will have a bad experience with SP, so my question is, If I put on a blindfold or something to cover my eyes, will that prevent me from seeing creepy things?
I've had semi-lucid dreams. I know I'm dreaming, and I try to control stuff, but it usually ends up going weird. I make someone appear in front of me, and like, their face melts or they get really fat or something. Maybe I'm experiencing something completely different?
So I was camping last weekend, and has a dream (non lucid) where some pretty looking star thing exploded into fireworks above the lake.
I woke up, scrambled for my phone to enter it in (i didn't have my journal there), and was confused as shit in the morning when I had a text from myself saying:
"The1 star fster fster tll starburst"
Somehow it helped me recall my dream... V:v:V
Just got back from Austin, sorry I haven't replied. I'll have answers tomorrow after I sleep, along with some really messed up dream stories.
Well, I read and tried this last night, and to my suprise it worked. And I've got to say it's cool as hell, but it kind of... Sucked. I tried giving myself a daft punk helmet, and I got a weird dome-y helmet that reminded me of protectrons from fallout. I also tried to create a band with me, my friends and this girl I like, and they kept getting replaced with different people. Could that be a sign of anything? Also, when my friends were there, they kept fucking making out with that girl >:/. Does that mean I should murder them? Thanks.

Trying to summon people/things or trying to alter things is hard in your first lucid. I found that out when I had mine. Keep practicing and eventually you'll get the band or helmet or whatever right.
Practice makes perfect, and it's especially true with lucidity. Keep trying.
Kay, so murder my friends?
In your dream? Might as well, since you can.
I hate awkward sex dreams about female friends. I had a particularly disturbing one last night.
No, real life. The message I got from that dream was, "Your friends will take your girl away, murder and replace them".
gonna try to lucid dream for the first time tonight!
gonna eat a banana first, but i dont have any milk. :frown:
So close! I got lucid but woke up immediately afterwards. Guess I'll just have to keep trying.
Just a question to Zinayzen: It says that you're gonna update the tutorial, is that still true?
