No, real life. The message I got from that dream was, "Your friends will take your girl away, murder and replace them".
Even though I know you're not serious, I figured I'd share this. My interpretation was that you're insecure and feel inadequate to your friends, feeling that she'll choose one of them over you. Or maybe you're like the "My Hot Wetdream" guy and want to fuck your friends. :v:
i don't know though, i'm not a psychologist, just taking shots in the dark here.
I read this, Now i'm scared to sleep :ohdear:

Also, is sleeping with music on bad for you? or could it do something with your dreams?

I go to sleep with music on almost every night. Never affected my dreams.
Iv always slept with it too, but i was just wondering.
I keep wanting to try lucid dreaming by WILD, but am afraid to do so after I tried and ended up freaking out with some stuff that I hallucinated.
One day last week, I put on some music and lay down on my bed with my eyes shut. Eventually, I started to feel like I was falling/floating, but I could still hear the music and was semi aware. Unfortunately I eventually snapped out of it because I started to think about it too intensely.
I'm not sure but I think this is related to the experience shortly before entering a lucid dream.
I'm going to pursue it further some day soon, so any tips as to how to keep myself from snapping out of it are appreciated.

Also, if my hunch is right, than Yoga and meditation may help with inducing lucidity.
So last night I stopped in my dream and thought "Wow, this is really unrealistic. None of this belongs here." So close to achieving lucidity... but then "They must have renovated over the summer. Cool."
I'm on my iPod, so forgive my spelling mistakes. Also I can't quote easily.
@mezox Not sure yet. Most likely I'll just make a v2, that seems smarter. It'll happen this summer, I promise. :v:
@koner Uh...no, don't kill your friends. That probably means you friends keep pissing you off and you want to not be friends with them anymore. :saddowns:
@super I personally don't, and I wouldn't recommend it, but if it works for you, do it.
@nevermind Practice helps. And what's your hunch, dare I ask?
I've been trying to get into the habit of doing RC's by holding my nose, i just want to know if i'm not doing it in vain?
@nevermind Practice helps. And what's your hunch, dare I ask?
Not much really, but the corpse pose used commonly to end Yoga sessions induces a similar feeling, and meditating can help with focus and staying "in the moment". Not saying that it'll work for everyone, but it's worth a try.
Sweet, it's a good thing I found this thread! I can't wait to try one of the two out tonight. The first thing I'm doing when I can is riding a pink elephant named Tom.
Reposting from page 28 to see if Zin or Teal could give me any advice.
GODDAMNIT.
Ok, so today I had a dream that I had last night, and I didn't realize it until I came in contact with some of the characters. I then called out that I was having a dream inside the dream, and the characters laughed at me and I had thought I wasn't dreaming and I had gone insane. I tried, now that I knew I was lucid to move something simple, like a clock off a wall to prove to the people in my dream that it was a dream, but it wouldn't budge! I then woke up to the people in the dream laughing at me.
Not sure what advice I can give, really.
You're dreaming right now and that was real life.

So, basically, I did everything right, but I got fucked by my own subconscious/whatever was in that dream, right?
do you know sometimes when you are about to fall asleep, you have like that waking dream, where random stuff happens, usually right before you fall asleep? well I have been having them more often recently, and a few of them I wasnt even close to sleep, I just closed my eyes, and usually its just non-sensical jumbo, but these were random sure, but they said and did stuff that I could clearly see and understand, and usually, it just gets weirder until I fall asleep, but these stop after about 5 seconds, then after I couple minutes I go to sleep. do you know what this is? maybe I am being visited by ghosts?
I have never remembered a dream once in my life, except for when I was 6 years old.
Every night, I fall asleep. Then I pretty much immediately wake up. It's like something got wiped from my memory, I fell something is there but I don't know what I dreamed about.
Anybody have tips for inducing a WILD? I was doing the stair thing, and the first night I tried it nearly worked. Every night after has failed, though. I was counting up the stairs, but eventually I'd just drift to sleep. I tried switching the direction and going downstairs, but it didn't work either. Maybe I'm visualizing it wrong, maybe simply visualizing it is wrong. It may also have something to do with my ticking clock that I started counting stairs with usually. Who knows, but any tips to avoid it or any other methods of focus?
Recurring dreams that I am in Vietnam killing everyone in a village. Guns, grenades.. innocents. It's not graphic, it's like it becomes unclear when I kill the innocent people but I can clearly feel my whole body when I shoot the gun or when explosions go off. It's like I can control it too.. but not very well. It's just really intense and shit.
Why?

Past Life. Very common incidents happen in Past Life dreams.. Most past life dreams are based on incidents of pain, suffering, or occasionally lust.
the whole past life memory thing is kinda stupid
Wow very interesting.. is there any supporting evidence or is that just a common theory?
the whole past life memory thing is kinda stupid
Agree'd, but at the same time it somewhat explains it.
It's that or a re-occurring dream state which is possessing things which happened in the day, and makes you play them out as if they were a memory.

Theory which takes place in the Paranormal Community/ Wicca Community.
So I've decided to give my conscious mind a break for now during dreams, but I still dream lucidly. Is that weird? As in I don't want to have a lucid dream for now but now I've been having them no matter what.

Just keep a clock next too your bed (or alarm clocked cell phone)
maybe its not past life, maybe its like genetic memory from AC

Pretty much. Next time do multiple RCs.

WILD. Read OP. Ghosts don't exist.

Dream recall. It'll take a while for a situation like yours, but it'll work.

Patience, really. Just remember that you don't have anything better to do, it's not like you fall asleep slower.

War movies, video games, etc. Maybe it's a dream you just...like to have. It happens.
Past Life. Very common incidents happen in Past Life dreams.. Most past life dreams are based on incidents of pain, suffering, or occasionally lust.
No, and you are stupid. Past lives do not exist. Your brain is capable of incredible things, and I would hardly be surprised if it decided to have dreams that put you in a specific character. That's basically what a dream is anyway. If your brain is a random adventure generator, these things are like picking a specific path and saving the path, and then loading from specific points. It's not a past life.
So I've decided to give my conscious mind a break for now during dreams, but I still dream lucidly. Is that weird? As in I don't want to have a lucid dream for now but now I've been having them no matter what.
That's a good thing. It's uncommon but certainly not unheard of. Consider yourself lucky.
I once had a dream where I was looking for someone in this huge mansion. I was with my family. As we went up some stairs, I feel that something bad is about to happen, and the next thing I know, I get shot in my heart. I takes a second to recognize that things have indeed gone bad. Everything darkens at I fall. I don't hit the ground, I just keep falling into the darkness.
As I died in my dream, I became aware of my real world surroundings. My eyes can't open, and I can't move, but this doesn't feel bad, I'm still relaxed. The sounds were really fucked up, my computer was on, and it sounded like it was raining, only there was a lot of echo. That's when I hear people walking outside my window (My window is ground level and there's pebbles right outside, so it makes a lot of noise when someone walk on them.) There's 2 people and a dog outside. My first thought is that my parents are taking a walk with my dog, but then again it doesn't feel like they should be taking a walk in the middle of the night.
This is when I get panicked and tell my body "WAKE UP
It was like I flew out of my bed and the distorted sounds became even more distorted, and then normal.
This has happened several times when I die in dreams, I guess it's my way of dealing with my death.
I just thought it was kinda odd
I wonder if you can hear people talking to you when you have a lucid dream, I have only done it when I'm alone and there's completely quiet.

I understand if no one reads my post, it doesn't seem very inviting.
Sounds like SP, actually.
Well, I basically only just became a member mainly because of this thread, because I have a few things I want to ask you, or other people who know what they're talking about.
First off, any other hints or a more details explanation of how to lucid dream?
Also, is Sleep Paralysis definite, or does it only happen occasionally?
That's about all, I'll get back to you guys if I succeed at this.
