I had a lucid dream once. Scared the shit out of me.. never again.
Today I finally had a lucid dream. It lasted a week. I woke up exhausted and I still have a migraine. I figured out I was dreaming when I got punched in the stomach and it didn't hurt. [editline]01:36AM[/editline] It just didn't end.. I kept track of time by asking the people around me the time and date. It remained consistent [editline]01:37AM[/editline] And I slept in my dream and in my dream had a dream. And I remember EVERYTHING PERFECTLY. I finished my dream journal [editline]01:37AM[/editline] My god it was overwhelming but it was so cool.
I had my first lucid dream this morning (two in a row actually). Ok, first things first, it didn't feel like another dream. My vision felt very small and narrow and I couldn't think as freely (or logically) as I should have. I figured out I was dreaming, and took a step back from my current situation to figure out what I wanted to do. When I did what I wanted to do, it flashed by like a comic book frame by frame. I couldn't tell if I was imagining it within the dream or actually doing it. I also felt like I didn't have complete control over myself. Does this stuff just come with practice?
A few nights ago I dreamed that I was in a crowded public bathroom, men and women were standing around as if it was a party. It began to get even more crowded but as I tried to leave the room was suddenly flooded as more people rushed in and I was pushed back and knocked to the floor. Seconds later the room was as full as it possibly could be and I was trapped beneath hundreds of other people, right in the middle. I decided to remain still and focus on breathing. I closed my eyes and waited to die or be rescued. The whole thing was very vivid and I felt the crowd around me and the sensation of being on the floor.
I almost had my 3rd lucid dream just a few seconds ago. I was really really close to it happening. I could feel the familiar buzz around my body as if I was about to enter it, but right when it started I started hearing this sound that sounded like a match being lit over and over. Then I started hearing screaming outside my window. I jumped up out of bed as it happened. I'm now afraid to go to sleep.

I had my first lucid dream a few weeks ago, forgot to post it :3: It was really short, but it started off when I woke up (I'm not sure if I did, or if it was a false awakening) and felt myself going into sleep paralysis. I then feel asleep again, and "woke up" (false awakening for real this time) in my bed. I got up and hit the light switch... and the light came on but it was REALLY dim, like I still couldn't see anything (I get that in dreams a lot). So then I think "Ok, that's weird..." and push my finger into the palm of my hand. Well would you look at that, it goes right through, but with a sort of feeling of resistance. Confident I was in control of this dream, I walked over to my window and stared out into the night/day (it was kinda weird, I couldn't work out if it was light or dark). I then thought "Ok, I'm gonna try and change something". So I squeezed my eyes shut and imagined my grass being blue when I opened them. Opened my eyes and what do you know, blue grass. Then I got excited and woke myself up D:
I'll ask my questions again, as they didn't get answered. Are there any other foods like bananas that I can eat to help me achieve lucidity? I don't like bananas... Also, The other night I was trying to WILD and after going through the electricity stage and stuff, my eyelids started flickering wildly(unintentional pun), and I couldn't control them, then I panicked and moved. Was I close to WILD, or is this something different? And finally, I don't seem to be able to achieve lucidity, in my dreams, I don't seem to think as much as other people claim to, and when I try to WILD I always fail. I just thought I'd get that out there, and also ask if anyone else had these problems, if so, how did you get passed them (If you did...)
I've had the eyelid flickering thing It gets worse because you concentrate on it, and you try not to open your eyes The trick is to ignore it and just allow your face to relax
My dreams get that realistic that I think it's real life. So I don't do reality checks. Waaaa-
I'm starting to have a lot of lucid dreams unintentionally lately. They're no fun though. Most of the time I'm aware I'm dreaming but cannot control the environment around me. Just sort of walk around until the lucidity fades off. The last one I had, after I did a reality check in the dream, everything got weird. I was having a hard time controlling my arms and walking around.
The only lucid dreams I get involve me getting my dick sucked :v: [editline]09:57AM[/editline] And even then they're semi-lucid.

I keep getting these realistic dreams, SO realistic infact, I'm scared to shit that I'm going to jail/dying/someone else dying. And I keep not doing reality checks, which is starting to piss me off.
I was trying to go to sleep this morning, then i suddenly woke up and I couldn't move. This happened 2 times, the second time I was on my side, and i felt like i was being rocked back and forth rapidly.
I have a problem with my lucid dreams, I'm not sure if it's been asked though. I'll go lucid, normally via WILD or MILD, spin around, try to increase lucidity and such, but randomly (although it seems to happen more when I try to dream myself elsewhere, I normally freeze up "halfway"), my dream freezes up (as in, everything just stops as if time was frozen) and I can only sit and watch for a few seconds, then I "wake up" into sleep paralysis for 5-10 minutes. It happens within a few seconds of me going lucid, no matter what method I try. It's really annoying, it happens every time I become lucid, and I can never do anything about it. Does anyone know anything I can do about this?

I have this problem sometimes, but I've never woke up to sleep paralysis
i had my first lucid dream this morning :) i had barely any control but it was so fucking good. also, the first thing i remember is having a car thrown at me and hitting me and thinking "CAR - DREAM!"
I seem to have a problem. I haven't done any training at all, but when I dream, I can control them. But I can't. I don't know how to describe it. It's like I can control it, but I don't know it's a lucid dream, so I don't do anything nice.
Anyone played LSD Dream Emulator? It's a terrifying PS1 game where you just walk around and bump into walls to go into worlds. There is no goal, no combat, nothing but walking around the completely random environments. The main appeal for players is its insanity; One day, you might see a line of elephants walking into a pit, while other times you might encounter The Grey Man, the closest thing to a recurring villain. Imagine a randomized Yume Nikki. The game also does one particular something [b]completely horrible[/b] - it gets [i]scarier[/i] as it goes on. The more you dream, the more bizarre and messed-up textures and events you will encounter. The Grey Man will appear more often. One person played the game so long that the system it uses to scarify things broke, and every texture was replaced with glitchy black. The game has a reputation for making you think you've figured everything there is to figure out, and then doing something very bad to you. Possibly the game is Cthulhu himself, given its habit of continually fucking with your head worse and worse in an apparently sentient manner. Also, nobody - at least in the English fan community - has figured out how the hell the game actually works. In a very kind gesture, every area in the game is connected in a concrete way, and maps exist; but the actual methods the game uses to randomly decide where you go, what happens, and what it looks like are unknown. It's strongly implied that there is some sort of system the game has, but... Personally i actually had like five nightmares about the Grey Man in a row IRL last night... Dear god..
I'm not sure how I got this lucid dream, but here it goes. I literally found myself in the middle of some supermarket, shelves were empty and it was presumably nighttime. All of a sudden I start to notice that there were a bunch of murderers and killers with guns walking around the store. I ran around these dark isles and kept on seeing these empty shelves. All of a sudden as I approach some outlet built inside the store and it was a gun shop. It was still dark so I went inside and realized that it also had knives in the display cases. I started to fish around and I just decided to pick up I think was some Soviet pistol or a Glock. It became a blur from then on and then suddenly I found myself shooting a few of the gunmen coming after me, I remember shooting one of them twice in the head. I then found myself in a tiny house with the walls close, and I had a 6-shooter in my hands. I heard a lady scream in the next room and there was a man with an axe hacking at something. I took aim and fired.
-Snip moved up-
I just had my 3rd one. Though I didn't do any wilds I was in a dream when it happened, I was having the same dream I had this morning and halfway through it I had a feeling of dejavu(Can you even get this in dreams?). I didn't really do anything after I was like "This is totally a dream. I've already had this one." I just kept going along with the dream while my mind was yelling at me to do something, so I saw some of the alien creatures that were in my dream coming at me so I closed my eyes and were concentrating on them not being there. They disappeared and I decided to try and fly. I remembered how you have to get a running start so I backed up in my yard and ran the whole length before doing this clumsy jump into the sky. I didn't really last that long before falling on my face. I could jump really high, but not fly. Then I just sorta blacked out, and don't remember anything I did after that. I woke up in bed without remembering anything but trying to fly and making the aliens dissapear. So I had to sit still for an hour and a half waiting for all the details to come to me.
I also had this other one a while back. I was in bed, covers all bunched in a few piles and I had a hard time sleeping. I couldn't tell if my eyes were opened or closed but the thing was I started to shift about and suddenly I heard machinegun fire. I blinked and I had my hands in front of me, holding some sort of bolt-action rifle. This was just some erratic firing and I started to hear explosions and shells whistling so I just stayed in my place. I didn't have time to look around to where I am, but it was just black and I could only see the land I was just laying low in. I tried to get up but suddenly the machinegun started up again and I could hear men yelling and roaring as I saw these tiny silhouettes and tracers go by me. I just stayed there. It went on and repeated several times, I just stayed in cover and clutched onto the rifle. I found out it was my pillow when I got up.
I had a dream the other night, and I remember I was in some sort of subway tunnel. I don't know how, but I thought of doing a reality check in a way. I thought "If I'm dreaming, let there be an orange T.V. behind me." I went to turn around but my brother's fingers (He was in the tunnel.) covered my face and I couldn't see. Damn it..
I have a theory about the falling dreams, where you wake and actually hit the bed. Since our brain function is very limited and further access to our brain could cause telepathic powers and such. I believe that when in that kind of dream, your subconscious takes over, and since it believes it is in the air, actually puts you into the air, so when you wake up your conscious takes over and you fall back down. I know it may sound crazy to some, but I think that it is entirely possible. What are your thoughts on this?
I smell boreness in this thread
I had the scariest dream a few nights ago: I was watching some TV and the news came on. It had reports of random people around the world growing odd mutations out of their guts, they looked like baby arms with the hands cut off and absolutely covered in blood and pus. In the dream I was then creeped out and went to my room and to my computer and turned it on. After a few minutes, that very same mutation began to grow out of me, and I stared down at it and was horrified. At first the skin just swelled intensely but then the shape came out slowly. Oddly I had the sense my parents were out in the dining room, so I yelled out "DAD WE NEED TO GO TO THE FUCKING HOSPITAL" while running out of the room, to which he replied "OK, let me finish my lunch first!" with that, he then calmly walked over to the fridge, opened it and pulled out a box of KFC. Then for the next 30 minutes (I swear) in this dream all I'm doing is watching my dad eat KFC while I have this growing pain in my side, and I'm just freaking out. And my dad is completely calm, acting rather odd though by staring into thin air. I then somehow got out of the dream and woke up in my bed all sweaty and hot, and in a panic attack I pulled off my shirt and checked my gut. Fortunately it wasn't there (the mutation) then breathing heavily I lie back down and for that night couldn't get anymore sleep. I remember it so clearly, and although it is hilarious when I think of it, it was very creepy. I think what caused the dream was my recent overdose on KFC (had to go around lots of places so got KFC for lunch a few days of the week) however since the dream I haven't had any KFC (I'm just paranoid). Maybe the odd mutations in the dream were from some chemical attack done world wide by KFC? lol.
i really want to try lucid dreaming, but im terrified of sp
i think i just sort of had a minor lucid dream. I randomly laid down on the kitchen carpet and fell asleep for 20 mins. I didn't see any mental images but i was like mentally thinking all about my bug fix release or something and mentally planning what i would do later
