I woke up after every one of my dreams, remembered four dreams in one night. The only down side is that none of them were lucid.
But my body isnt paralyzed whie im asleep. I woke up thusmorning because i acidently kicked a hole in the wall.
If you acted out your dreams fully, you'd be dead. You probably had a hypnic jerk while facing a wall. Your legs are either really strong or you have weak walls.
[editline]06:36PM[/editline]
Punched a hole in my wall that way. :<
Tried WILD last night, right as I entered sleep paralysis and was ready to step into my dream, my brother slammed the door coming out of the bathroom and shocked me awake.
:sigh:
everyone should smoke dmt
I once had a really weird dream where I was looking for my bag in school before the bus left, I eventually found it after meeting many fictitious and real characters then got on the bus.
The clock on the bus was 12:01 then I suddenly awoke and on the clock next to me the time was 12:01.
I have constant terrible nightmares. A few years back, I had somehow realized I was dreaming one night and attempted to do some cool stuff. I was playing with some sprites of light when suddenly I lost control.
A clearer interpretation is that my brain, pissed, said "NO" and pushed me into one of the worst nightmares I had ever experienced.
But, LD may be a way to stop these nightmares by force of will. And that's worth a shot.
I had an odd dream yesterday; I was due to go somewhere but I had to take the bus to get there and I remembered the night before that someone had told me the bus fare had increased but I had forgotten what it had increased to so I decided that I would google it the next day. However my dream was odd in that I was in the lunch hall in my old school (which I haven't been to in 2 years) and this random guy I know explained to me the exact cost of the journey I would have to make the next day. Firstly this was weird because I remembered everything that had happened when I woke up and secondly when I checked the price it was exactly what he had told me it was in my dream.
Thought I'd share it because it freaked me out slightly
Finally had a clear lucid dream this morning. I woke up at around 7 and went back to sleep.
It started as a normal weird dream, something about escorting a guy with the help of the Ghostbusters, but then I heard cars zooming from the real world. I figured I was in a dream, and then I was back in bed.
I looked at my fingers and saw they were deformed, and there was a huge mirror on my ceiling that was distorted quite a bit, so I knew I was still dreaming. I got up and decided to talk to my subconscious. Yeah, bad idea this early on, but I didn't remember in the dream. The doorbell rang, and I hesitated in reaching it, but the door opened anyway. I don't remember much about my supposed subconscious, but I didn't like him. He resembled my friend's annoying little brother, and from what I could remember, he was smug as hell. We ended up fighting, then his face transformed into some screamer demon face. I woke up.
I don't get it.
I had a lucid dream a few nights ago.
I got pinched and in real life I jumped.
I had a lucid dream last night but it was really fucked up, like I don't ever want to have to see what I saw last night again.
I just had my first lucid dream but I woke up because of my excitement :frown:
I had this dream where me and a bunch of people, some I know as friends, some I know in the military formed a mercenary group. We had body armor, H&K416 assault rifles and a sniper team consisting of Sierra 1 and Sierra 2. S1 had a Barrett M109 with 14.5MM rounds and S2 had an L96 Arctic Warfare. The assault team was comprised of five people. Long story short we did some cool stuff then flew to Manhattan on an MI-24. After which I somehow became a movie producer and without anyone knowing started the invasion sequence from World In Conflict. Where the Soviets invaded the United States through New York City. It felt so badass, then the United States armed forces shot all of my actors and bad things happened. The end.

That's pretty fucking awesome.
Also, just read up on that Uberman's sleep cycle thing, where you have ~6 thirty minute naps per day, instant REM sleep, etc. Sounds friggin' awesome. Anyway, I know that it takes a few weeks to get into it during which you're completely useless and zombie-like. If I start school on Aug 24th, and have marching band from 8am to 12pm for the two weeks before school starts, do you think can I pull this off? Or would I not have enough time, get thrown off by marching band and fail miserably?

Sounds more like you fell asleep while playing WiC and watching "Red DAwn" and "The Losers"
in the background.
I had a dream that a girl I didn't know was kidnapped by Russians. I caught up to her, and then when I was about to save her, the Russian female leader came out of nowhere and disarmed me. She then tied my hands together and ordered me to walk somewhere. I pretended to trip on a chair, then cut my bonds with my fingernails of steel and then used the RUssian leader as a human shield. Then grabbed two Scars from the RUssians, pointed them at both of them, then killed all eight russians at once. How that worked, I don't know.
I need to stop playing CoD.
can something like a mouth guard (apparently i grind my teeth) kind of, er, hinder dreaming? i notice that i've only ever really remembered my dreams when i didn't have it in - i don't think i've remembered a single one with it...
I don't know for sure, but I think I had a lucid dream.
Basically, I was in the state where you're half asleep and half awake, if you know what I mean, where your mind goes wandering.
This is how it happened:
I looked in a mirror, and I saw myself, and then my head turned into this weird thing that I can't be bothered explaining.
Then I turned around and it happened again, and after that I thought "I know, I'll reset my dream by killing myself" so I exploded my own head.
After that, I kept thinking about them, so I thought of butterflies and rainbows (I don't know why so don't ask) but then the butterflies had those weird as heads.
Then I thought "This is my dream and I'm controlling it!" So then everything disappeared and I found myself in a street.
After that, I tried to talk to my subconscious which I summoned.
But then I jumped back out of my dream, and wondered to myself if I was just lucid dreaming.
I couldn't tell if I was lucid dreaming, or just my mind wandering off like it usually does...
I keep having this dream where I can talk to this person with angel wings and shit, and this person keeps saying cryptic stuff that is goddamn eerie.
The weirdest part is that I always wake up from it and I can feel the pillow wet from tears. It's really fucking with me.
To the people gaining Lucididty, WILDS or MILDS?
I only got 9 hours of sleep last night. It felt like 20. I had several dreams, most of which I forgot. If I'm seriously trying this I need to write stuff in my dream journal BETWEEN sessions of REM, not roll over and remember bits and pieces, which is sadly what has happened to my dream last night. I can infer what brought it together, between what I was reading before I slept and the mention of a friend earlier in the day.
I had a long, long dream that, I suppose, combined Fight Club and Inception into one universe. Two friends and I went to some sort of convention (It seemed like Comicon, that sort of thing). All of us were in suits, and I had my hair slicked back. For some reason I just felt like we were going to commit a thought crime, as stupid as that sounds. We walked along for a while then saw some little separated building, almost like a guard post, and went inside. One of my friends left a suitcase and I sat down. They both left out a rear door, sneaking out as to not be seen by the people around the post. I cursed a bit because I didn't react properly as I got up. I went to the same transparent glass door (The whole thing seemed to be made of one-sided glass, but only when inside it, looked like concrete out) and tried to sneak, but a little girl slammed herself against the door, as if looking at me through the solid other side. Something similar happened with the other door, and I vaguely remember the person smashed against it being teenage and Japanese. I couldn't get out without being detected.
At this point, I believe I either opened the suitcase or looked at the coffee table where there was a packed-up costume. It registered as a ninja costume in my mind, but actually came to more of a ninja-themed bikini with a hood (I have no idea what the fuck was with that). I took off most of my suit and put it on. The front door either turned into a mirror or swung open, because I remembered a red-haired girl that looked straight out of an anime in my costume looking at me. Magically I was back in my suit and I shoved her aside as I ran past. When I got back to the more open, courtyard-like area that had led us to this little building, I ran back down the path we had originally followed to get here and ended up in a hotel lobby of sorts. There was a table next to a couch here with a telephone on it, ringing off the hook. I picked it up. It was at this moment I realized I was Tyler Durden.
Without another word, I slammed the receiver and ran to my left, hurriedly opening a door on the side of a lobby to a set of stairs. I ran all the way up to a sort of office building. I snuck around a bit and found some assault rifles in a strangely rectangular filing cabinet, at which point I encountered a member of Project Mayhem. We had a small conversation about how I was ending the project and soon after had a gunfight where I used only a pistol, which I vaguely remember as a Walther P99. In the 5 rooms or so of this office, I killed about 7 men. This is about as far as the dream goes. I may have run downstairs, but this is where I remember it ending.
The next dream is a continuation of sorts. At the start, I'm with 4 of my friends in the hotel-like lobby from the last dream, where they explain we're all in one of my dreams via one of the dream machines from Inception, presumably here to eradicate Tyler Durden from my subconscious. It is of note none of these "friends" were actual people, and they were all sort of nondescript, or at least I remember nothing outstanding of any of them. All I can even list is that when I think of the dream, I see a man in a tan or white suit (Maybe each color of suit was another person?) and a black woman with a shaved head in her 20's or so.
Just after this, the phone rang again. I calmly go and pick it up. I have a short conversation with a female member of Project Mayhem about how it's over and they won't let it end. I end it with something cheesy to the effect of "THE PROJECT IS TERMINATED" before slamming the receiver and walking off. At this point I'm a bit fuzzy; maybe I went up the stairs, maybe I went up to the parking lot. Next I knew I was in a sort of orange-tinted desert on top of a mesa.
Looking across the vast expanse of this desert, there were forms representing some parts of my subconscious, or more so the particular "infestations" holding Tyler Durden in my mind. I don't remember them distinctly, but one I seem to remember as a large, 10-story-high set of several sharp, jagged, black rocks surrounded by storm clouds. We went across the desert, zooming across the plains in buggies of sorts, eradicating all of these. We didn't do anything too specific to remember, and I don't think we destroyed all of them either. In fact, much of it involved the plains and fighting random beings around rock formations (Or in vehicular battles), the beings in particular I seemed to identify as Raiders, most of which looking somewhat like their companions in Fallout 3.
Again, I don't really remember anything specific at this point, except an odd frame or two stuck in my head. Of note, I had a sort of "weapon select" wheel like it was a game, with said wheel being blue and much like Ratchet and Clank. I'd switch into third-person to use some, mostly melee weapons, one of which being a scythe like the Grim Reaper's. I killed a Raider with it, but couldn't use it for long. The more I held it the more the dream seemed to go grayscale, which video game logic told me it was eating my soul as I used it. Among this I could do other strange things with my "inventory" system. The only example I really remember took place on top of a high-up rock formation or something with all of my friends present. I could combine water and a banana in a jar (It may not have been an empty jar, for some reason I remember it maybe being Jarate but I kept going back and forth on that verdict inside the dream), and then squeeze a slice of tangerine into the jar. Some chemical reaction would occur, and I would throw it like a grenade to cause a small nuclear explosion. I remember this in particular because I did it in a normal manner like I'd have to in reality, as if it was a cutscene, while I switch to that inventory wheel to combine them. After I finished I threw it off of our high location, where it hit the ground far below and exploded, at which point one of my compatriots cackled a bit at it, presumably the man in the tan suit (A freeze frame of this is why I remember him in the dream).
That's all I remember. It was interesting, and sort of... fun to act out, I suppose. Sorry for it being so sloppy, but I'm not doing well writing long stories these days. Though it is also of consideration I seemed to be semi-lucid at the time. I didn't have any control over the dream, but it felt like it was moving normally, unlike most of my other dreams, and it seemed clearer than most as well. Overall, it seemed crisp and present, like I was actually SEEING it, unlike others where it usually seemed blurred or drained in retrospect. I was even sort of conscious as my own separate entity in observation, commenting on it as if it was a dream and recognizing spots where I could go fully lucid but didn't. Was a strange feeling.
My dreams have been playing back moments in my life this entire summer. Its all animated, but it used to be only Japanese animation, now I come out and half the other people are American animation. It confuses me...immensely. My own parents are dawn with the big eyes and everything and freaks me out. I can't get used those wide eyes in real life :ohdear:
The last dream I had was like a montage of every complement my ex-girlfriend ever texted me or said to me.
:sigh:
I had a dream that Zach Galifianakis was a Reddit poster who agreed to meet me to go snowboarding in the mountains of Guatemala but was secretly planning on killing me via an underground IED below the ski lift. I found this out and we had a fight to the death inside the resort cafeteria, ending with me plunging a spork into his chest. I confuse me.
I had a dream that Garry ported the engine to the L4D2 one. I was play online with a server that had a custom ons with hordes of zombies, no lag. I think I was in a mech contraption, while a few others had SWEPs and other contraptions.
That was fun dream. When I woke up, I turn on gmod looking for the L4D spawns. Then I was like, "Oh, yeah...it was a dream....".
Just a tip: Feel free to wake sleepwalkers. The myth comes from the belief that if you woke a sleepwalker, their soul would leave their body. There's actually no harm in waking them up.

You may not be perfectly still in your sleep, but it's not like if you're walking around in a dream, your body will be walking in your bed all night.
This helps explain Sleep Paralysis: A state where you haven't quite fallen asleep but your body already has, so you're unable to move.

Haven't played WIC in a long time, never saw Red Dawn and never heard of The loosers. Also The first part of the dream, I didn't say this but it was an assault team to pick up a girl. And the invasion part we were at one of the docks in Manhattan watching the invasion.
Just read an article about the Doppelgänger Syndrome, basically you wake up with yourself lying next to you and the Doppelgänger stays any time from a few minutes to several days. Scary.

So wait. It's an out of body thing? I don't fully understand.
I've had some sleeping problems lately, I can basically lie in my bad for hours (1-4) without being able to fall sleep.
Even though I still sleep at least the recommended hours it's starting to get really fucking annoying and just generally bad as I kinda end up sleeping through a long part of the day.
I feel your pain. Past week this has been happening to me as well.
I just got a job stripping roofs off old buildings for $22.50/hr. I'm making a thousand dollars a week doing manual labor, and I don't have to go to the gym.
I love my life. Now I just need a girlfriend. :saddowns:
