Well, there really can't be scientific proof, because we really don't know anything about dreams. We roughly know what they ARE, but that's pretty much it. I think I quoted some of the definitions in the OP. But everything you've read is correct. I know it sounds far fetched, but it completely works. And the thing with SP is that it only really happens when you wake up in the middle of REM sleep. Which means if you try WILD and it fails, you won't get it, because you won't wake up in REM sleep. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure when it happens. It almost never happens to me, but it happens to some people almost every time. Last part's redundant, though. If you realize you're dreaming, you'll be lucid. The longer the mnemonic, the less likely it is to be remembered.
"If I hear music, I am in a dream." Now, I wonder I wonder I wonder if I can cleverly steal my brother's MP3 player. :page3: close enough

I'll definitely remember my dream if it's a Lucid dream. I won't if it's just some normal uncontrollable shit.
I'll definitely remember my dream if it's a Lucid dream. I won't if it's just some normal uncontrollable shit.
You think that, but sometimes you really don't remember it. It's very weird.
You think that, but sometimes you really don't remember it. It's very weird.
So theoretically we've all had lucid dreams at least once or twice, we just don't remember them? [editline]06:27PM[/editline] I assume that's what building Dream Recall is for.
Rated heart for an awesome OP. I might try some of this stuff...talking to my id sounds like fun. Edit: DREAMS. HOW DO THEY WORK?
Has anyone tried to create/compose music while lucid dreaming? Or if you just heard some music, were you able to remember the melody/song after you woke up? And Zinayzen, please change your avatar because it makes me think of all the stupid people here in FP and you aren't one.

Plus dream recall is good in general, because remembering your dreams will reveal some surprising things about you.
Rated heart for an awesome OP. The problem is, even when it sounds good in your head, they come out sounding awful. For me, anyway. But I'm not good at music, so. I've yet to find an avatar that I like, to be honest. Someone should make me one.
Does lucid sex feel like normal sex? If you're a virgin, do you get pleasure from it?
Does lucid sex feel like normal sex? If you're a virgin, do you get pleasure from it?
I think the brain does a pretty good job at guessing at what the feeling is like.
Does lucid sex feel like normal sex? If you're a virgin, do you get pleasure from it?
If you've had sex, you'll have a reference point so it'll feel like (or better) than real sex. If you haven't, it'll just feel like a hotter (in my case, I mean that literally. It made me warm.) version of jerkin' it. Or your brain will just imagine what it's like and then kind of fill in the blanks. It's usually wrong, though. I'd tell you how to get an accurate reference point but that would make me look like a fucking creep. Dream sex does not compare to real sex, though. :smug:
I'm only posting this one more time. Someone asked me what happened when I asked it what my biggest fear was. "The hardest part isn't being told what your fear is. It's seeing it visualized in front of you. My fear was that the person I love more than anyone else would die. It only lasted five seconds, but I still remember it. Basically I was forced to watch my girlfriend die and I couldn't do anything about it. It was only five seconds, but your brain doesn't really care about time so I saw a lot of things happen that I really don't want to think about all happen at once, and yet all seperately. I saw her look at me and beg me to help, right before she screamed. And then I blacked out and woke up drenched in sweat. Apparently I was like yelling and stuff too. Words can't even describe it. Trust me, whatever you THINK you're afraid of, it's not your biggest fear."
Is there any way you can remove the fear of your sub concious mind? Like not seeing your fear but just chatting with it and not being scared. And if I can change the rate of times passing I can sit in a lucid dream for what would feel like a long ass time correct, and can muscle memory be built up through repeated actions in a lucid? Just don't ask it to show you your fears. It's interesting to talk to your sub-conscious, it's like talking to yourself minus all the social blinders and cover-ups you have to have when you're in public. Yeah. You can make it feel like however long you want. I'd be careful with that, though. While your body is resting during this process, if you think for TOO long, you'll tire your brain. Which is a very weird position to be in. No. You don't move when you're dreaming. (Thank you, sleep paralysis.) If you WERE moving during your dreams, you'd be trying to act them out, which is probably not a good thing to be doing when you're attempting inhuman stunts of epic proportions.
:v: this is why I wanna know if I can build muscle memory in my sleep, another 6 hours at least to practice sweeps!!!
Tried it. The problem is, while your brain could theoretically do the motions, there are three problems. One: you're dreaming so you won't know how accurate it is, because B: dreams aren't realistic and therefore highly unsuitable for training. If you did somehow manage to train for a mental six months in pseudo-realistic conditions, there's still another problem, C: your muscles wouldn't be versed in it at all. Even if your brain knew it forwards and backwards, your fingers would be like OH MY GOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING.
I had a few lucid dreams but I couldn't really control myself.
I tried getting into WILD, but songs would be stuck in my head and stop me from relaxing, argh! Not too mention a groggy throat.I got almost 50%, but I gave up on try number 10 :( I just went to normal sleep, can't remember my dream AT ALL. Well, I think there was something about a dragon emblem, but can't recall. :Dawkins102: try again tonight. Whoa, just had deja-vu and remember my dream! It has to do with playing a game like CSS but my keys would always switch and be wrong (Like WASD would be ESAD for some reason) and whenever I typed it came out wrong! Lithifold was there for some reason killing me in the game :(

I don't know if I went over those in OP. If I didn't I will later. Basically, it's stuff that happens in dreams that wouldn't happen IRL. Keyboards are good for testing it. So are lightswitches, and looking at a clock, looking away, and looking back. For lightswitches, they'll never turn on a light, and for clocks, when you look, turn away, and look back, the time won't be the same. And usually it won't be numbers, either.
2 questions. 1. How clear is the dream when your there? 2. How do I turn on lights?
I remember when i was younger.. about 8-9 i had a very vivid dream of flying through the town i was living in. Everything was very detailed and felt real.. i woke up and i felt completely different about everything.
Well, I am just glad I remembered it. I am gonna do the dream journal for one week, then try WILD again.
2 questions. 1. How clear is the dream when your there? 2. How do I turn on lights?
Much, much more vivid than anything you've ever experienced. I still remember my first lucid dream. It was one of the most vivid, beautiful things I've ever seen. If it were a wallpaper, it would be the most downloaded wallpaper of all time. However you want. Imagine the scene is lighter. Mentally rape your eyes by turning the bloom up. Raise your arms and bellow ARISE, YE LIGHT, AND BOW BEFORE YOUR GOD. I don't know, it can be anything. Let me rephrase it. When I said the lights don't turn on, I just meant that the sequence of "light switch -> light bulb on" does not work in your brain. If you just will the lights to be on, they'll be on. But basically there's no need because it can be however you want it. For me, my dreams are always like really sunny, very slight wind, and there's just a nice smell in the air. Like southern california without the heavy wind, pollution, and bad governor.
I've started my dream journal. I've entered my close-to-wild experience so far.

btw, How do I move in the dream? Do I move like I would normally? Or do I have to think about it?
Oh, after I Lucid Dream about Mass Effect, I shall play GOD!
George - lol lol ima troll: So basically, in LD I can play God, or sort of garry's mod-ish great minds think alike

It works just like real life does, just with far less limitations. Crap. I had nothing better to do so I lay down, relaxed every muscle in my body and let my mind flow... After maybe 10 mins my eyes kept twitching and it was hard to keep them shut. When they were properly shut I saw dark, whereas if I just relaxed them a bit I saw two blue eye shaped ovals, stared at them for a bit but then I felt my eyes moving all over the place. Then they opened and I couldn't really move any muscles I couldn't really keep my eyesshut either. I wriggles my toes and, I guess, woke up... What happened?

The first time I had SP was when I got my brain scanned and I had stood up all night.

Your eyes weren't really moving, but what happened is they were used to the blackness but then the images came and your eyes started to follow them. Keep your eyes shut and just go with it, you'll get used to it. Nap time. Be back with results in an hour or two.
SP.
Not quite. You'll definitely know SP when it comes, but it's hard to tell you just when it will. That was most certainly not SP, though.
If I use i-doser Lucid Dream, is it healthy?
