[QUOTE=solid_jake;24202333]Oh please, who would want to read a book of someone elses dreams[/QUOTE]
Of just anyone's dreams? Probably no one. Of your dreams?
If nothing else, your (dream) experiences could easily be adapted into an awesome novel.

This is what she wrote to me.
I don't know what it is, it looks like words but it isn't
[editline]04:42AM[/editline]
I'm on a laptop so the drawing is a bit messed up, I can't scan my journal cause I don't have a printer in the resort.
Maybe ask Ellen what it means. Try conjuring up a notepad when next you dream, draw the symbols, and ask her what it means.
I've tried that.
[quote=Dream Journal Excerpt]"But you have a fully developed personality and you're suppose to be 'the all knowing'" I air quoted when I said that. "I mean when I see people talking to their subconscious on the internet they say it's like talking to your father, or so I read it." She was puzzled. "I really don't know how to answer that." she grabbed a pen and paper and drew a symbol, it looked like this -drawing- "This is the answer, but I don't know how to describe it to you in words." [/quote]
[editline]05:10AM[/editline]
You've also gotta remember your subconscious only knows as much as you do
[editline]05:10AM[/editline]
It just so happens mine knows the symbols in it's own realm better than I do
Try asking her for a clue, or at least another clue anyway.
Did they have those colors in the dream?
The colors changed, those colors were the main ones, the ones that frequently came up.
no offense jake but i didn't read that. tl;dr the part about your sub, you said you had a fun story
[QUOTE=Hmn30;24198181]i want to do that[/QUOTE]
Good fucking luck, man. It's incredibly hard to do, and I'm still not sure what the ramifications of it were. My sub's been acting a little weird lately, and it worries me.

You should have read my week long dream one. It's a lot bigger than what I wrote.
I'm not completely sure how to cap the story
Both the week long dream and the conversation with your sub are well worth the read. Also Ellen Page is hot.
[QUOTE=solid_jake;24201930]Ah but you see you're trying as if you expect to get it first shot.
This takes MONTHS to master[/QUOTE]
Oh. For some reason I thought it was 3 - 4 weeks on average.
[editline]08:33AM[/editline]
It must be incredible talking to one's subconscious, I really wish I could do that.
solid_jake I think Ellen's fucking with you.
i just read it jake
holy crap. why are my conversations not like that. i need to start retraining my sub, it's too impersonal sometimes.
SO to be entirely unoriginal, for kicks I changed my phone's alarm to "Non, Je ne Regrette Rien" by Edith Piaf, known more often as the kick song from Inception. See, I forgot I did that last night. Usually I ignore my alarm and turn over in bed after hitting snooze. Today, I shat bricks, stopped it, and nearly threw my phone. I've now been awake for a good 5 minutes or so now.
Sad too. I guess my mantra didn't work much yesterday, I need to get more bananas. The past few days I've been keeping a piecemeal dream journal, and it's been working out well enough with just the bullet-point form of events reminding me what went on. Tonight, I had two dreams, I distinctly remember having them. I just forgot all the details.
However, now in writing this I've remembered some points of the second dream, at which point it came flooding back and I wrote it down. Phew. Through that, however, something is duly noted. I've written down six dreams from 8/17-8/20. In four of them a very particular friend of mine showed up. Perhaps I need to start recognizing her as a dream sign, as I also remember her showing up quite a lot before my dream journal as well.
[QUOTE=SteeleCratos;24208503]solid_jake I think Ellen's fucking with you.[/QUOTE]
That's ridiculous it's my subconscious it only wants the best for the both
[editline]02:36PM[/editline]
nothing out of the ordinary today in my dream, epic trench war is epic
Solid_jake, If you ever write fill your dream journal i want to buy it.
Thats just amazing.
[editline]03:12PM[/editline]
Also, i cannot understand it... how can i summon my subconcious? do i just need to think about talking to my subconcious, close my eyes and jump 360 and open my eyes?
I have no idea what could it look like.
Can it be both male and female?
Can it be an animal?
Or can it... just... be.
Is it hard to summon it?
I gonna try this tonight, ut ill just lie down and not move. :engleft:

In the order of your post :
-I already have like 10 dream journals filled out and keep em in a closet at my house.
-If you already know what it'll look like you can imagine it and o the 360 degree trick. If you don't I find it's best to say out loud "When I open my eyes my subconscious will be in front of me" and then do the spin.
-It takes discipline because sometimes in a dream you get overwhelmed by that fact that you're dreaming and forget to do it or do it wrong

Ignore all itches and urges. Turning from being uncomfortable is okay though
I remember when I did it I felt bugs crawling on me
:ohdear:
FFFFFFFFFF I was so close!
I laid down in bed and kept repeating I will remember my dreams in my head.
Then I heard this high pitched sound and felt a falling sensation, and felt like something was on my back yet I was lying face up.
I guess I freaked out when I realized what was happening and snapped out of it but it was exhilarating.

You got excited
Excitement always screws everything up :v:
[editline]06:34PM[/editline]
I'm gonna take another nap, I seem to have the best luck in terms of lucidity in naps
I need questions to ask though incase I run into my subconscious
"Are you messing with me?" might be a good one :)
I know this is utterly unrelated in every way, but this song is fucking great.
[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAV0XrbEwNc[/media]
That song should have been used as the kick in Inception.
I had a massive war dream with my subconscious. The problem with that is that I didn't realize the person I was fighting with was my subconscious until the end of the dream. Not as opponents, allys.
It was pretty cool

Well, when you think about it, whenever you have a dream and have ANY interactions, it's your subconscious. There's not much else in there.

that would have been an entirely different movie

I think because I've assigned one thing as my subconscious I'm representing everyone else as a "bot" sort of.
It's really confusing but you're right.
[editline]08:28PM[/editline]
Eh, I don't feel like typing the entry out because nothing significant happened until the end where my subconscious told me I was dreaming and it was time to wake up.
MUCH better way of waking up than being shot by the way :colbert:
I have been having lucid dreams since I was 7 I think. I remember having one when I was 7 when I was in a really tall cylindrical building, and I was walking around, when the floor suddenly fell.
Did you know you were dreaming?
Otherwise it wasn't a lucid dream.
Although it's most likely true you were having lucid dreams when you were young because that's the most common time for them

I did know I was dreaming. I was walking around myself, actually controlling myself. I had a lucid dream last week that started as a normal dream, then turned into a lucid one. I was in the middle of the dream I decided "You know what, I'm going to become lucid now." And I became lucid. I had fun blowing shit up.
EDIT:
Something for the top of the page, What happens if a lucid dream involves a hall of mirrors? What would happen?
[QUOTE=solid_jake;24216999]I think because I've assigned one thing as my subconscious I'm representing everyone else as a "bot" sort of.

I know exactly what you mean. One bot is important, the rest just kind of fill in the scenery. (When you think about it, though, ANY of the "bots" could fill in as the main one.)
Try killing your subconscious. Last time I tried that he grew like 30 times and yelled YOU CAN'T DO THAT at an ear crumbling volume. Scared me awake.
I've just now done a word document, typing up the basics from this thread. It's also where I'll be typing up me dream journal (I'll just rewrite it from paper, because I lose paper easily...) I've been trying to go Lucid for a few nights now, but to no avail.
However, a few weeks ago, I did have some really weird dreams. One was about my best friend, and a girl we'd just met. (We were on a uni trip, and they hadn't spoken all day.)In my dream, they were extremly close. Now, it could just be coincidence, but the next day, everyone was saying how good they would look together... Was that my subconcious telling me basically the same thing?
