Anyone else hate fences in dreams? Because everytime there's one I uncontrollably need to jump over it and when I land I wake up and get a chill down my spine, just not the good kind of spine chills.
Fences tend to symbolize obstacles in life. If you feel an uncontrollable urge to jump over them, you probably feel like you need to prove yourself. The landing means you don't think you're strong enough to actually prove yourself.
I've always wondered if your sub is real or not. Like is it actually a different part of you separate from the rest of the people in your dreams?
Quick question.
Should I start my dream journal before attempting to have a Lucid Dream, or is it OK to start both at the same time.

A) You should get a dream journal first but you can practice a little beforehand
B) That's really all your dreams are. Everything symbolizes something

Your sub is the overseer in a dream. It can be any one of the people you see in your dreams and it's generally the one making your dream situations.

Also I've been meaning to keep a dream journal but I keep forgetting :frown:
Post it's help.
I put a post it right under where I put my glasses that says "reality check" and then one in the mirror of my bathroom.
It helps get into the habit, in case you forget to do them in on your own in real life.

Someone offer some discussion please
Has anyone here ever actually been brave enough to look into a mirror while lucid?
I have.
It's basically sleep paralysis effects whether that be a nightmare or colors.

I suggest trolling the gift giving thread down in fast threads

So quiet..
If you talk to your subconscious can you convince it to make some sort of mental change in you ? Like ask it to make you understand another language or something to that effect?
I've always wondered that
Last night or something I dreamt I walked up behind a car and noticed the license plate, which changed every time I looked away. I said something along the lines of "Hey, I think I'm dreaming" and I woke up. :saddowns:

I'm Thirteen and here's my tip: Wait until you get some brain cells.

Actually that is a good question.
I'd imagine it wouldn't be able to magically make you understand the language, but put more mind more open to absorbing it.
It would be interesting being able to unlock your mind to more readily absorb more knowledge. It'd be a great cheat in school
You can still overload your mind though.
I'd imagine an opening in one area means a closing in another.
Thanks for the tips on remembering my dreams guys. I tried the thing you told me last night and it worked. Hopefully I'll get better and remember more of my dreams soon. :buddy:

Real-life cheat codes. Maybe you could make yourself fly or become invincible.
HERE YOU CAN LEARN MATH BUT OHWAIT YOU CAN'T REMEMBER YOUR MOTHER'S NAME HAHA
That'd be hilarious

Then you can be one of the elite and talk to your subconscious
Then you can be one of the elite and talk to your subconscious
I hope so. I think he would be a pretty cool guy to talk too.

I'd think "here you can learn a lot faster and easier but you'll forget your child hood memories" or something would happen
Ask your sub if that's the case
I hope so. I think he would be a pretty cool guy to talk too.
Or girl
How do you keep yourself from waking up as soon as you realize you're dreaming? I know you're not supposed to get too excited, and that's exactly what I did last time it happened.
Or girl
... That could be awkward.
How do you keep yourself from waking up as soon as you realize you're dreaming? I know you're not supposed to get too excited, and that's exactly what I did last time it happened.
Multiple ways.
Rub your hands together and say "I want to remain in this dream"
Close your eyes and spin in circles repeating the above
Look own and concentrate on your hands, alternatively, look somewhere where little event is going.
I use the first
... That could be awkward.
Or hot. Or terrifying.
... That could be awkward.
No it's actually just about the same
[editline]02:15AM[/editline]
Ask your sub if that's the case
I actually will.
Any other questions you guys want me to ask her/it.
Alright I'm about to go to bed. Just do what I did last night and I'll be fine right?
You know, as embarrassing as it would be if someone found it, I think I'll try doing the dream journal thing.
Yeah, but think about what you want to do before hand.
If you have some time and want to know how to do it you can ask
