I always have my fan on when I sleep Could this hinder doing whateverthefuck involving dreaming?
No, unless the fan is so loud it bothers you and can't sleep, than it won't do anything
Almost going to sleep, I'll try MILD because it's easy and it worked for me 2 times. :v:
I'm interested in polyphasic sleep, can anyone tell me more?
It's basically going to sleep more than once a day, like napping. It can fuck your sleep schedule up though
I always have my fan on when I sleep Could this hinder doing whateverthefuck involving dreaming?
Hmm, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_death
I know how it works, I wanted to try the dymaxion sleep schedule, but I want to hear what people have to say about it.
I've been trying to lucid dream for the past 3 months and I've had no success :frown:
Hmm, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_death
:wtc:
I know how it works, I wanted to try the dymaxion sleep schedule, but I want to hear what people have to say about it.
I wouldn't do it. It's so stupid, all you're doing is exhausting your body
Now to type up the nap story! Yay. I got a phone number of another american girl in the resort and was playing mini golf with her which is why it took so long. She lives in new york like I do, how convienient :shobon:
Hope your sub doesn't get jealous. She might have to "punish" you. :q:
Fuck, whenever I try keeping perfectly still to try to get lucid I end up falling asleep unconsciously. Any tips on how to avoid this?
I wonder what people will do if they were a woman in LD.
Whenever I try the alarm i always end up so tired that I can't be bothered to try to WILD.
Whenever I try the alarm i always end up so tired that I can't be bothered to try to WILD.
Me too, I tried MILD... and it worked! For about a minute. :saddowns:
I wouldn't do it. It's so stupid, all you're doing is exhausting your body
I don't sleep much anyway, I get about 5 hours of sleep a night, and about another hour of cumulative nap on the bus. I don't feel fatigued or have headaches or anything of that sort. I figure since I'm goin to university and live a sedentary lifestyle, I will need the extra time and I will get that from the cut in sleep. And since I'm super lazy, I won't physically exhaust myself.
I wonder what people will do if they were a woman in LD.
I'm a girl when I dream, but I never question that I'm a girl in a dream. So if I'm a girl in my dream I think I'm a girl in real life, only to realize I'm a boy when I wake up, then I get depressed, then I complain to people on omegle. [editline]08:52PM[/editline] Tis' a cycle.
If you were to be a girl in an LD, most of FP would get giant error signs covering the majority of the body because they haven't seen the textures of a real womans body.
Hope your sub doesn't get jealous. She might have to "punish" you. :q:
Oho clever mr. :rolleye:
Me too, I tried MILD... and it worked! For about a minute. :saddowns:
MILD...You repeat a mantra for until you go to sleep, right?
When I had my lucid dream a couple days ago basically this happened: I had woken up at 6 in the morning for some reason, I went back to sleep, realized I was dreaming. And I realize I'm dreaming in most of my dreams, but I never ever go lucid, I just realize I'm not in deep trouble like I was in my dream, relax, and it goes blank. So this time I actually remembered to go lucid. But I basically rushed. I didn't think to myself, "what do I wanna do?" I was so afraid I'd lose lucidity I thought "whats the first thing people do," and started flying. I'm worried I'll always rush and wont be able to stop and think or have a conversation or anything in my dream. I'm also afraid because the instant flying came into my mind I was doing it. I'm afraid someday I'll remember the worst fear thing and the moment I think about it it'll happen.
I'm afraid someday I'll remember the worst fear thing and the moment I think about it it'll happen.
That happened to me..
Hmm, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_death
-snip- No, that's stupid.
Jake, you do MILD's, am I right? It always seems like you realize that you're sleeping, rather than stepping into the dream. [editline]11:31PM[/editline] going to sleep.
I had so much fun re reading this
During my nap I did various things with my subconscious. I was in a taxi, being driven somewhere. I looked to the right and saw a tornado in the city. It was wrecking every building in sight. Luckily I was driving away from it. The taxi stopped and the door opened. It was my subconscious. I knew I was dreaming. I rubbed my hands together to keep myself from waking up. "Some nasty stuff out there huh?" she said to me. "And a hello to you to" I replied. "So what do you want to do?" she asked. "I'm not exactly sure what I want to do actually." I said to her. I wasn't. "We should walk into the tornado." She said to me. "What? Won't it kill me?" I asked back. "Not if we go in together." she said, opening the car door. I got out of the taxi and started walking with her to where I saw the tornado. The wind was blowing really hard, papers were slapping the both of us in the face. "Tornado's in citys" I said stopping to look at it "Didn't I have a dream similar to this?" I asked her. "Very good you remember. Yes you did." she said. We were now only inches away from the tornado and slightly being pulled in. "Okay, ready?" she asked. I nodded. She grabbed my hand and we jumped into the tornado. We were spiraling upwards. "Woh it's times like these I feel like throwing up" she said to me. "Seems okay to me." I said back. "Yeah okay that's because you know you're dreaming" she said looking at me "I bet you would be running for your damn life if something like this shows up at your door." Everything around the both of us was blurry but I could see her perfectly fine. "Chances are if a tornado shows up at my door I'm not at home anymore am I?" I said back smugly. She squeezed my hand and had a smirk on her face. Everything around us started changing colors as we got further from the eye of the tornado. "Wow this is trippy" I said outloud. The wind started getting louder. "So where's the witch on the bicycle?" I yelled. "Maybe she's going around the block a couple of times?" she said laughing. I laughed too. I was so concentrated on her I didn't realize what was happening behind us. We were now in a large grass land. There were chunks of building around us, enough to go exploring into. "I don't think we're in kansas anymore" I said to her. "I'm not barking if you expect me to" she replied. She started taking me to one of the building chunks. It was the MetLife building, or atleast the top half of it. "And this is where the stock market crashed" she said to me. "Lot's of jokes rolling out from you huh?" I said to her. "I can be serious too ya know." she said back. I climbed up the support beam that lead inside the half of the building. She followed. She climbed up the rubble on to one of the office cubicles. She helped me up. The cubicles were sideways, and we had to jump on each of the walling of them as if they were platforms. So one at a time we climbed up the cubicles to get to the sideways stair case. "I don't think stairs is exactly the option here." I yelled to her. She was ahead of me. "There's always auxilary ladders incase of emergencys." she said. "I don't know how you expect to climb a ladder that's sideways." I yelled. "You don't climb, you hang, like monkey bars" she said back. She was pulling the craziest stunts climbing up the cubicles. She stopped for a moment. I was stunned and didn't have any idea how to imitate what she did. "You better not be staring at my ass down there." she said teasing. "Believe me I'm not. Are you a part time circus performer or something?" I said. I looked to the side and jumped on the next cubicle. "I don't think I can make those jumps." "Fine, fine. Hold right there." she said climbing into the doorway that was the stairwell. I took a minute to sit down and catch my breathe. I was a lot stronger in the dream but I still had the little endurance I had in reality. She tossed down a rope ladder. "That good enough for you princess?" she said giggling. "When I get up there I'll show you who the princess is." I yelled. I started climbing the ladder. It was rigidy and I almost lost my balance. I was now at the top of the ladder. I stopped and imagined my subconscious in a tootoo. She looked down. "Oh hah so clever okay." she said. She stopped and spun me around. I looked down. I was now in a tootoo. "Looks good on you" she said teasing. I imagined myself back in the clothes I was in earlier. When I opened my eyes she had changed clothing as well. She was now wearing denim jeans with a black t-shirt that said "rock on" on it. "Why that, exactly?" I asked. "It's comfortable, good for walking." she answered. I looked at the stair case. It was perfectly normal. "I guess we can take the stairs." I said. We started making our way up the stairs. I looked at the doorway of the floors. They were still sideways. But then I stopped. I looked at the door way. A black silhoutte was standing in the middle of it, with white eyes. The eyes were bright white and staring at me. "Um.. Ellen?" I yelled out panicing. She came back to look. The silhoutte blinked once. "Okay.. that is bad." she said to me. Whatever was in the doorway hissed at us, and then ran away. A large hordish scream followed it. Now there were crowds of these monsters rushing up the stairwell. They looked like the vampires from I AM LEGEND. We started running up the stairwell. She pulled out a gun from her bra and a MAGAZINE from her pocket and loaded it. She then unloaded some rounds on the vampires. I grabbed the fire extinguisher and threw it down the stairs. "Shoot it" I yelled. She took a shot at the fire extinguisher and it exploded on them. "That should buy us some time." I said and pulled her up to follow me up the stairs. We ran into a room and closed the door behind us. We were in the security guard office. There was a rack of shotguns and pistols on the wall. I grabbed one and tossed her another. The vampires were now beating on the door. "Exciting huh?" she said still scared. "I bet I can kill more than you can" she said again. I looked at her. "The five or six on the stair case counted towards my kills, though." I said. She sighed. "Fine I'll give you those. I'll still win though." she replied. "We'll see about that." I said. My hands were trembling. The door busted down and I took the first shot at one of the vampires. A clean kill, decapitating him. She ran up to the door and kicked one of them in the leg, knocking him down. She turned and hit another with the end of her shotgun. She shot them both in the head. We proceeded up the stair well shooting all of them that ran up to them. "Give me a second to reload." I told her. She shot the few coming up the stairs. "Glad to see guns are working again." I yelled to her. She laughed. One of the vampires came from the top and scratched her in the back. I shot him. I started feeling blood drip down my back. It hadn't hurt her as much, and neither I. We were now rounding the top of the building. The vampires stopped coming. The door to the roof was right in front of us. We took a minute to count how many slugs we wasted. "I think I won" she said. She had shot more bullets than me. "Yeah but you can't aim" I told her. "And besides, I killed that two or three of them with one shot." She looked at me. "You think I can't aim? I aim better than you can with my eyes closed." She said back. We argued for a little bit but decided I won because of the few in the beginning. I opened the door to the roof. "Ladies first" I told her. She walked through the door. The cuts on her back looked really bad. I walked out and closed the door. The roof looked normal, it wasn't slanted like we originally saw. Out of nowhere, a large vampire broke through the wall and door we just came from. It looked like a tank from left 4 dead, but double the size. "Okay so he counts for like, what, 20 kills?" I said to her. "This is for the game" she said back. It charged at us and tried to punch us. We dodged the fists and fired a few shots at his face. His face was shreading up from the amount of shots we were putting into it. She ran out of ammo and pulled the pistol out she had earlier. She ran up his arm and started shooting his arteries from above him. It was trying to rip her off but instead punched itself. Meanwhile I was blasting slugs into his head. She slid down his other arm and landed right next to me. The tank dropped on it's knees and died, almost falling on us. She pulled me back before the body hit. I stopped and turned to her. "Well played, you beat me." I said shaking her hand. She smiled "Glad to see you admitted who the better man was." she said teasing. "Oh, you're a cross dresser? I hadn't noticed." I told her teasing back. She pushed me. "Wasn't that fun? See I can suggest fun things." she told me. "I best be waking up now." I said. "See you later David" she said back. I told myself to wake up. It didn't work. "Not just yet." she told me. She walked up to me and gave me a hug. "You forgot your goodbye hug." she said smiling. I tried again, successful this time. I woke up
[editline]04:46AM[/editline]
Jake, you do MILD's, am I right? It always seems like you realize that you're sleeping, rather than stepping into the dream. have you ever had sex with your subconscious
I'll be back on later tonight, I've got munchies and the resort has a buffet open with fast food from midnight to 3am [editline]04:48AM[/editline]
have you ever had sex with your subconscious
No but it teases me about it
Pistols are loaded with magazines not clips :colbert: Also some paragraphing would have been nice, I kept getting lost and rereading lines on accident.
No but it teases me about it
Then go deeper.
I'm interested in polyphasic sleep, can anyone tell me more?
Normal sleep cycle: Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4, 3, 2, REM, 2, 3, 2, REM, 2, REM etc. Polyphasic: Stage 1, 2, REM, 2, REM, 2, REM, 2, REM Uberman: REM, REM, REM, REM Do not try the Uberman, you'll be fucked up for three weeks if you miss a nap by four minutes. I know, it happened to me. Honestly, it's way better just to not mess with your sleep cycles at all. You have a Circadian Rhythm for a reason, and screwing with that and trying to rewire it messes with an entire section of your brain that you, quite frankly, shouldn't mess with. Figure out how much sleep you naturally get, and then stick with that. You won't be more efficient, I guarantee it.
Uberman sounds neat. Maybe a person would do it if they really wanted some serious LD studys.
Uberman sounds neat. Maybe a person would do it if they really wanted some serious LD studys.
Tried it. Bad idea. I suggest not doing it.
