Sleep and Dreams Megathread - General

I've been dreaming and recalling at least 2-3 dreams each night for the past 2 months. Been quite awesome, and around 70% of them are lucid. Really weird shit though. If it's MILD I can only control myself in the dream, but not others. WILD I can control every aspect. Also, I got stuck in that sort of "waking up" in a dream last weekend. It was a pain in the ass, as no matter what I did I could not get out of it, even though I noticed I was dreaming around 3 "wake ups."

lol I still remember a messed up lucid dream I had when I was eight. Oddly enough it was about one of the grade 8's in my school kidnapping everyone and shooting the school up, and yet she was the most popular kid in the school. Hm.

I had a dream when I was a baby, before I learned how to talk. It tormented me, it was a series of lines and dots that somehow made a puzzle but was completely random. One night, during a bout of insomnia, I had that dream again. It still struck fear into me, but I didn't know why. I was determined to finish it, though. After dreaming about it for what seemed like years, I just felt a feeling come over me that the puzzle was solved, even though I didn't understand what it was. I've never felt like that before, and I probably won't feel like that again. It's the weirdest thing ever.

Hrm, reminds me of how I know I can do dream recall because of my youth. I have an odd 7 or so dreams from when I was 6 or 7 or so that I remember VIVIDLY in every detail. Was a string of nightmares, completely terrifying. May write them up one of these days.

That reminds me of this one dream that I think is the first dream in my life that I can remember. And it's weird because it's just the alphabet scrolling on a back background. ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ looping over and over again. I think I was 3 when I had that dream. It was messed up.

I think I will start writing up my weirdest latest dream. You know, I wish I had some good money. I would buy a nice camera and make some of the best dreams in this thread into short films. :frown:

Once I shape up my dream recall and start going lucid I'll do some animations based on my dreams.

I wish everybody would illustrate the cool things in their dreams more. Would make the thread that much more fun to read.

Hey I have questions about Déjà vu and if/how it relates to dreams. I get it a lot, seeing exact things that I remember happening to me before. Sometimes I am certain they happened before in real life, other times I know for sure I had a dream about it. Either way, is it dream/sleep related? And do you really dream/see it before or does your mind just sorta go crazy on you? I don't really believe in predicting the future. I am Christian and believe in prophecy and stuff but I doubt seeing 2 minutes of a day before it happens has any prophetic meaning. Anyone know?

oh goddammit so apparently tomorrow's off because her mom has to do something and she has to stay home and watch her friends. Choice A: I tell everyone that, and everyone goes on Saturday instead of tomorrow. Choice B: Everyone else goes, and then we both go on Saturday so I can make it up to her. Choices...
