This is why I was so confused. Your sub is you, so I would assume that if you had the will to lucid dream then you should.
It's hard to explain how your sub works in a dream. It's the Architect, the characters, the personified character, the controller, the gatekeeper if you will, and a bunch of other stuff.
It's kind of like your subconscious is God and your sub is Jesus.

Here's a story that's unrelated but will illustrate my point.
I play golf a lot. I'm not that good, so I decided to start taking lessons from a pro golfer I know. She, having played for 40+ years, obviously can instantly see what's wrong with me. However, knowing the rules of the game and the way people operate much better than I do, she does not point out every flaw.

Can your subconcsious remember your thoughts from when you were awake - like if you were thinking about food (example) all day, your sub would remember?

WILDing is the fastest, but it's hard. I suggest MILD first.
MILD is basically a "mnemonic induced lucid dream", or "Motto induced lucid dream" if you don't know what a mnemonic is.
Basically, before you go to bed, just keep telling yourself "I will remember my dreams." over and over again.
Keep a dream journal. When you wake up, write down any details you remember. This will improve your recall.
Eventually, once that's decent, start saying "I will realize I'm dreaming". Once that works, congratulations, you're LDing.

holy shit not only did the sammich taste nice, but guys... i fucking flew, it felt like i was actually flying, i could feel the wind in my face and i could hear the birds right next to me, but then i started to fall, immediately i got scared, i was about to hit the ground but then i woke up, it felt too weird, but i enjoyed it
