Is education crucial to learing how to lucid dream or can you figure it out on your own?

As in a before mentioned thread I had some real nightmares when I was a kid and as a result I made a storage space for it, in my mind it looks like a kind of halfway with endless amount of doors. If i were to go lucid, could I go to that place, or would you advice me not to.

Otherwise you could unleash it and you'll start having those dreams scattered in an attempt to make you overcome it.

I was walking down this hall with a lot of doors and I opened one to see what was inside. Next thing I know I'm running to my parents room. So I would advice you [b]not[/b] to go there.

Does that mean I will dream those dreams again? Edit: @mikesword221 I had very violent dreams and I would see violent images if I closed my eyes from age 6/8 to 10/12 (tbh I don't really know how long it was, I know it terrified the shit out of me and it was annoying.) And thats why I made the storage space, to never have those hell spawns called nightmares again. Now that I'm reading about the sub part, I did have a hard time erasing it cause it kept coming back and back. Like my sub fought back and wanted me to have those dreams.
