I love Honda's, have had generators, engines for other uses and motorbikes with Honda engines for years, always been reliable as fuck. Only ever problems have been electronic, and minor ones at that. My current bike is a Honda xl250 Degree (a grey jap import) and the engine never falters, only problem i have is the overheating light has a dodgy connection which sometimes randomly pops up so i have to punch my display to make it stop ( i really need to get round to fixing that properly).
When i get a car, i'm planning on getting a Honda Civic CRX Si, i love the look of those cars even though most people i know hate the look of them. That or an ek9 / ek4, i like those too.
Looked at the ad again and those pictures are date tagged for 2006...
My new camera tagged* the photos I just took yesterday as 12/22/2005. I'd say that they just didn't set the date on their camera right. I have no idea how to set the one on mine and it doesn't bother me. I'd still check into the car if you're interested in it.
*when right clicking and going to properties, it says "Date Taken - 12/22/2005" If I had it set to actually tag my photos with the date, that's what it would have put on there
eww quakerbake, I'd use something else. I've seen what it does to engines in the junkyard

I don't mind Quaker State. It's far better than Penzoil.
Anyone who uses Penzoil in an engine is just doing it wrong. that shit sludges up so bad.
[editline]28th February 2012[/editline]
Penzoil DOES make the best oil filter I've seen, but it's probably so it can filter their own sludgy toxic waste.
You got some honda on that mudflap
mudflaps 4 lyf
[editline]29th February 2012[/editline]
god I hope I don't drag them off when I slam it
I wish i had some mudflaps for my civic. I just like the style of them, they make me think of rally cars.
Shit, you should hear my car. If I had a set of all seasons I'd be some stickers away from rally getup.
That's awesome. You should post a clip some time.
I'm about to order this (just on the verge of convincing myself it's what i want)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/STAINLESS-RACING-MANIFOLD-HEADER-EXHAUST-01-05-HONDA-CIVIC-DX-LX-D17A1-1-7L-ONLY-/180805355279?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item2a18d6c70f#ht_4167wt_1396
So my car will be a bit louder, probably slightly ricey, but i don't care. I feel like it's justifiable and not ricey because its actually a performance mod, and not an exhaust tip. It also sets me up for a full exhaust when i have the money.
I'm expecting it to sound similar to the first car in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdBIQO2A_Xo, although slightly different because the lx and ex have different exhaust systems from the factory, i just don't know how different.
If my phone had better audio I would. :( I need a camera or to borrow someone's camera first.

Mine as well. I was trying to record this light tapping sound my engine makes a long time ago (i think we established it was the valves out of adjustment), and it sounded like my engine was knocking really badly in the recording.
My car also /sounds/ like I'm not going very fast but being really noisy -- But that's not really the case. I just have to use less gears to get to the speed I want. :P
With the tranny I run, and the ECU I have for my boosted setup, top of second gear on the tires/wheels I'll be using (my slips in some 205/55R16s), with the limiter I'll be bumping at -- I can go 103MPH

[editline]29th February 2012[/editline]
Plan is to keep it in boost as much as possible... It'll work out well.
My car struggles to reach 100 (on the speedo, i don't know how inaccurate it is.), but i haven't been on a long enough road to go over that. I think my car is supposed to be able to go like 115mph-120mph, but this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOZ076NBf1g says otherwise.(although that is the ex, with 12hp more, i don't think it would make a 25mph difference.)
That is assuming my car doesn't have a governor on it.
Should be governed at 100mph or so. I know *most* USDM OBD0 ECUs are limited to 100, would think they haven't changed. But I could be wrong.
I know some EGs are limited to 100MPH too. I've hit the limiter in two of them.
I like Hondas for their (older) stylish and light chassis. I hate Honda for their wrong-wheel-drive bullshittery and the sideways fitted cap-wearing gaylords that think they're the fastest thing ever.

The wiki says it is OBD-2 MPFI, but i don't really know what that means.

I didn't post it, just thought it was funny.

Some asshole with a triple stack spoiler and riced the fuck out EG 4 door cut me off, I proceeded to get back in front of him and brake check his ass before throwing a empty soda can at him and he drove off, fucking ricers I swear. But I like hondas

Your car uses OBD2 -- The standard ecu configuration for post-1996 applications.
I'm getting cold feat on ordering that header. I think i'm just going to try and save up some money for a bit. I really want to buy a dirt cheap ninja 250, and spend subsequent money on getting it in riding order.
It makes me feel uneasy thinking about buying something that could possibly make my honda worse. I think I'd rather have my em2 factory and play around with the cheaper bike. I was just trying to spend this money on something big rather than burning through it buying food and gas.

Just as soon as I save up another $1000.
Living on barely above minimum wage blows.
I just really, REALLY FUCKING HATE Civics.
Everything else I'm a bit neutral. I don't really care for Honda as a brand, but I pretty much only really fucking hate one model, and like I said, that is the Civic.

Why don't you elaborate a little on why you hate them.

That's cool, I want to know why though
Which models of the civic too?
I hate the look of them, their engine sound, and feel of driving them.
I remember through out my driver's ed class I had drive one through out my driving lessons, and I hated it. It was a new model too. Literally the only design feature I liked in the car was the digital speedometer. I hated how everything in the interior was ass backwards, like the steering wheel height adjuster being out of sight and under the wheel, and the confusing seat adjusters. The handling was very shitty as well. My current car, a 01' Kia Optima handles way better.
Newer model Civics are nothing like older Civics. They haven't been the same platform, even, since 2001.
