I would really like to get a 1st generation insight. I love the look, especially with the covered wheel-arches on the back. The gas mileage owns too. Seem like a good idea? I currently have a 94 accord with a bit of damage that I'm going to use until it dies. :( I hate what all has happened to it.
Oh yeah since Jap didn't post here That's his new GSR swapped '91 CRX. It's a piece but he seems to enjoy it :v
Went to a big meetup today. Tons of cool Hondas. There was a lot of photographers, so hopefully you'll be seeing more pics soon. if anybodys on the east coast, we should try and get a few fp'ers to meetup at honda day http://www.hondaday.com/blog/event/
I hope my CRX will one day be as cool as those hondas. I am sure it will though, it just needs some tlc.
And once again my car looks like a fucking offroader
Ain't nothin' wrong w/ dat
Meh. I think I'll screw it back to the stance it was just before I bought it.
HONDA?!!?! Shit I need to clean this stuff up. D15B1 block and D16Y7 head are going in the CRX, both trannies are B series, one is Jap's one is mine. Black/pink D16Z6 block is toast. No idea if that battery is still any good...
Bradley is the local king of franken-hondas

http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/cto/2896531335.html I didn't know they made CR-X's that far back.
Yeah.... that's a first generation, 84-87.
... I can guarantee you there's more plastic on a Corvette or Mustang than on a Civic. ...
Corvette is actually the number 1, best selling plastic car. It's entire body is made of plastic. Not sure if that's the case with newer ones, but that was about as plastic as it gets.
Yeah i remember on top gear when he pressed on the back of the car(zr1 corvette i think) and the whole thing flexes. I don't really have a problem with plastic body panels though.

And it doesn't matter that it's plastic. The body panels aren't what protect you.
plastic interiors are shit though [editline]13th March 2012[/editline] specifically where the arm rest is a piece of uncomfortably moulded plastic with a bit of cloth glued on top

Our old friend Justin was trying to tell Jap that his GSR swapped CRX was a "Waste of money" and he should have went LSVTEC because he was "making 210 horsepower". I asked him what turbo he was running, and basically called him out for being full of shit. Then as he gets bitchy our epic friend Andrew (who hasn't spoke to us in a while!) steps in and rips Justin a new one, tearing him apart with facts and shit that Justin won't believe from me because he thinks he's better than me (when I taught him everything he knows -- which obviously didn't sink in) Long story short, Andrew is a badass motherfucker with a clean ass ride: Also CRX is broke again lolo
That is a brokedededed CRX. Damn. Also, that is a clean ride. I seriously need to re-paint my car but it's so expensive. Eugh. I need a full-time job....
3 and 4 I don't mind. If you think I'm a douche with an ugly car, so be it. Douches, like blond girls, have more fun. 1 and 2 is crap. I can guarantee you there's more plastic on a Corvette or Mustang than on a Civic. And the engine compartment is just fine. I have big hands and I have no problem at all working in there. What kind of cars are you comparing to? I don't want to diss you, but what's your taste in cars?
Sorry for the nice and late post...forgot about this thread...personally I dunno if you're a douche or not...I'm just saying around me...sheesh...but yes for the most part I don't like the looks of them. Except the older CRXs *shrugs* Anywho...I usually work on American trucks (Chevy and Ford) to be specific. Have a '92 S10 Blazer and a '93 Suburban. All the room in the world. Went to help a friend from work with his car and I nearly shat myself with how much smaller it is. I also have large hands and even working on my two trucks I tear up my knuckles half the time.
This thread needs moar S2000's One of the beautiful Honda's ever made imo.And i love german cars, but this....I just need to have it.
Had a pretty productive day yesterday with the 91 EF. Changed the radiator and oil. Just need some bolts to bolt up the muffler and I will have a nice quiet car. Although driving it without the muffler isn't really all that loud besides going up hills and going into tunnels.
I had my Civic lowered yesterday. It has the perfect height right now IMO
